Darth Maul is just awesome in so many ways
Has anyone seen The Woman in Black yet?
You don't know me well enough to make that assumption of me. I've never watched one single Fast And Furious movie. Not one. Now I officially hate Drive. It sucked. Go find some real actors to follow. Watch "True Romance" if you want a real movie about a couple in trouble. Dennis Hopper has the best death scene ever at the hands of Christopher "more cow-bell" Walkin.
That's why Drive got excellent reviews all around, and I've never heard of True Romance? Maybe it's the generation gap. I know you're an old man ![]()
Is drive based off a story or based off of anything else?
It's based on a book..
C'mon man.
I haven't seen it yet.
I'm sorry dude.. He takes the money. Plus that part isn't even really important to be honest. You'll see
Just finished Drive. Like it? Not so much. Reminded me of True Romance except no where near as awesome. It had its moments.
Those who dislike Drive are the same people who expected a Fast 5, shoot 'em up action packed movie. You have to appreciate the acting, art, music and climax that this film had to offer. Let me guess, you didn't like it because he didn't take the money at the end?
Thanks Dawg!
Lol i have never been called homie before! I feel accomplished in life.
Romo Ravens - changing peoples lives for the better, one day at a time ![]()
yes it will lol
Nice avatar homie
I still can't call Gosling one of the best actors of our time. He's getting better at chosing roles that let him explore different character avenues but he doesn't have any one magnificent performance in my opinion.
Watch Drive!
Generally yes but I can never forgive him for letting go of Rachel McAdams
I know. He's dating Eva Mendes now lol
Nope, but there are ENG subtitles. I highly recommend it if you can stand extreme violence. Probably the most disturbing and emotionally strong movie I've ever seen.
But its one of those revenge movies, so its probably not in your alley.
As long as it not as bad as Taken, I'll check it out ![]()
And no Ryan Gosling. Fail.
Hey, you shut your Daniel Day Lewis mother lovin' mouth!
Anyone on here seen I Saw the Devil? (not for the faint of heart, just in case anyone wanted to check it out)
Really want to see that. Is it in English?
Ehh idk if he could pull off the castaway type movie...
Having a "crew" made it easy to show of his leadership qualities and made the climax more emphasized because it compared him better to the alpha wolf
True that. I loved the ending. What did you think about it?
I like gosling.. Just watched the ides of march about a week ago but he isn't as good as neeson yet.. Neeson was spectacular in the grey.. And is automatic in every movie
Neeson was great in The Grey. In my opinion, the movie didnt need anyone else but him. I wonder how it would have been if he was by himself.
Plus he's Canadian Blt!! Don't you guys stick together?
Dude.....
Ryan Gosling is one of the best actors of our time. Better than Liam Neeson. Liam seems to always be placed into similar roles. I even heard their making a second Taken. Have you ever seen Gosling act before? He goes from psychologically damaged loner, to getaway driver, to womanizer, to working for a wannabe president, to a husband trying to save a disintegrating relationship with a wife who's kid isn't even his. Let's go now
I'd like to add that Tom Hardy is getting up there with my favorite actors. Say whatever you want about him, but the dude is versatile. I also hated James Franco until I saw 127 Hours.
So you like the recent Adam Sandler movies, yet hate Taken??
smh so hard, I might twist my neck...
I didn't say I hated it.. I just thought it was overrated. The only movie with a similar plot that I actually liked was Man on Fire. Those shoot 'em up, good cop bad cop revenge movies never really grabbed my attention. Plus you're talking to the guy that will see any movie that has Adam Sandler, Denzel Washington or Ryan Gosling in it. I'm pretty bias
Cliche? I haven't seen a movie yet portray Paris in such a dark light or a mainstream movie dealing with human trafficking. I mean, him hauling [profanity deleted] for 2 hours like Chuck Norris is kind of cliche, but at least in this day in age its not the ridiculous late 80s early 90s films where its disgustingly unbelievable. He was an ex CIA/Black Ops guy. He was basically Jason Bourne without a conscious.
I liked the scenery and everything, but the way Paris was portrayed wasn't really an awe factor in my eyes. Europe in general has been shown in a dark light before, so that didn't really impress me much. You knew as soon as the girl was taken that Liam would kick [profanity deleted] and eventually get his daughter back without him being terribly hurt. It was just very straight forward.
I've NEVER liked the Bourne movies, lol
Taken was severely overrated and cliché in my opinion. I saw it, and was like, "is that it?"
Any one going to check out The Grey with Liam Neeson?
I saw it the Friday it came out. Not a fan of Neeson, but it was a great movie
Watched 50/50 again last night. Love that movie ![]()
Captain America seemed like a waste of Hugo Weaving, I felt for sure he'd chew up the scenery. All 3 Punisher movies were misses, the last one was probably the most faithful.
I cant believe you guys hated watchmen, I loved it. Maybe it's time for a re-watch.
Has anyone seen Priest?
Don't waste your money on Priest. Not even worth the 4.99 to rent.
Ryan Reynolds scares me though.. Hate him with a passion
Yes! I can't stand him. Denzel should be enough to save the movie though.

So you would see a movie that got 1 or 1 and a half star?
