1968 version of The Night of the Living Dead. Classic.
Romo, you're one of my favorite people on this forum. But you can't be serious with this...
I was being a little too dramatic, but he's not someone I would run to the theatre to see..
Well now that I'm a Waste products!!!
I'll watch it
What do you mean Ed Gein was 'ehh'?! You know he was a real person with real victims, right?
Of course. I know all about those kinds of criminals. But the movie sucked
Wisest words I think I've ever heard u say
Lol. He gets on my nerves
It got similarities, but it's actually not only watchable, it's RE-watchable. And it can't be a knockoff of Drive if it was made years prior.
I mean, look at this cast.......Christian Slater as Clarence Worley, Patricia Arquette as Alabama Whitman, Michael Rapaport as Dick Ritchie, Bronson Pinchot as Elliot Blitzer, Saul Rubinek as Lee Donowitz, Dennis Hopper as Clifford Worley, James Gandolfini as Virgil, Gary Oldman as Drexl Spivey, Christopher Walken as Vincenzo Coccotti, Chris Penn as Nicky Dimes, Tom Sizemore as Cody Nicholson, Brad Pitt as Floyd, Val Kilmer as Elvis, & Samuel L. Jackson as Big Don
I don't see anything with Samuel L. Jackson in it
When is The Hills Have Eyes 3 coming out?
Since you're a horror buff, you should look up Ed Gein. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Psycho and Silence of the Lambs can all be traced to him.
Ed Gein was ehh, so was The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I'm too young to remember Psycho and Silence of the Lambs was good, but Hannibal, not so much. The Shining - now that's a winner
Not at all. It's just too great of a movie not to see.
Then why do you always compare it to Drive lol?
Favorite movie is Leon: The Professional
My dad loves that movie
Have you watched True Romance yet?
No. Is Drive a knockoff?
RT critics are the worst, they're basically elitist trolls that like to swing wildly from one extreme to the other in an attempt to make the most noticeable punchline. Movies should be appreciated for what they are, popcorn movies and light entertainment shouldn't be compared to the Shawshank Redemption.
13 Assassins in pretty good.
What's your favorite movie of all time, BR?
Yes. I generally don't follow reviews, but if something has an 80%+ favorable (Drive not included) its usually a decent flick.
All the positive reviews so far are just gushing over the new twist they've given this movie. As a huge lifetime fan of the horror genre, I'm really excited to see it. They've apparently done a great job on this one.
We never really talked about why you disliked Drive lol
I thought people who had seen advance screenings were loving it. I said before it looks like Friday The 13th meets The Truman Show. I can't wait to see it.
20 critic reviews in in rotten tomato and a 91% like rate is not too shabby.
The critics on RT are absolutely heartless, so that's telling me something.
PS, weren't you the same one that said reviews mean nothing? ![]()
Nah, I think It looks pretty bad... I'll wait for DVD.
Ditto, but I'm off on Friday and will have nothing to do, so might as well kill time
The Cabin In The Woods on Friday anyone?
Less talkie more cats
Speaking of Leo, has anyone seen the new version of Titanic yet? I really want to go
So I bit the bullet and finally watched Drive. Outside of the slow parts here and there that is a damn good movie.
Woooo!!
I've seen it a while back, but Collateral with Tom Cruise is a GREAT movie
Warrior is a FANTASTIC movie, a modern day Rocky.
Thank you. I would have still loved it if the fighting was taken out. But it obviously added to the intensity surrounding the plot
Hahaha that's like my 15 year old cat and my 4 year old Beagle.
I'm getting an upgrade over my '95 Honda Civic in the summer for my 21st birthday. Thinking about a 2007ish Mustang (black on black). My budget is somewhere between 12,000-15,000. What I REALLY want is a Dodge Challenger, but those are obviously out of my price range. Any opinions on the type of car?
This is what I'm talking about:
