The RB backfield is going to be loaded in 2016 if we decide to keep all four which I doubt. Being Forsett is the oldest of the group, I would assume that would make him the odd man out, not because of his talent. To have 3 young studs at one position(like we have at TE) would be a godsend for this offense going into 2016. Once we upgrade the online and add some depth to DB and pass rush(and WR), we should be back in the title race.Looking at the team overall I don't think WR may be that big of an issue if all our young talent comes back healthy and we can grab an extra playmaker in the draft(Tyler Boyd or Sterling Sheppard would be great additions to the speedy Perrimen).

Nkemdiche. He doesn't finish plays (gets pressure, but doesn't get the tackle/sack). Also has work-ethic concerns. He has all of the physical talent you could ask for, but he hasn't lived up to his potential. Whoever drafts him has to somehow make him play harder than he ever has. 

 

Bosa also is going to disappoint if people really think he's going to be the next Watt. He seems like a good, but not great talent. 

I see Bosa dropping out of top 5 but due to his ability will stay in top 10 ...

Really liked what we saw from two young backs. Buck showed great ability to run through the tackle with good speed and power while West displayed great lateral ability. Looks like RB and TE will be strong going into 2016. Hope we get to play more of Daniel Brown and Butler, they seem to play hungry and hope to see more time down the road. With Forsett coming back in 2016, It looks we can then place our future draft picks into more WR and DB help since that is where it is more needed(not to forget passrusher and Oline).

The more sure of players we currently have now, the less trouble it will be in the offseason. D Brown should do some damage with Givens and all 3 of our TE's back. Running game should hopefully be a little more solid with Buck and West.

Why though? Outside the Super Bowl he's done nothing.

Seattle's WR aren't very good and he couldn't get on the field. What makes you think he'll do any different here?

Aiken has at least been consistently above average. This guy played well one game when no one was expecting it. He made 3 or 4 big plays.

If he can make a big play here and there great, that's useful. But no way over Aiken. We need someone who can consistently catch balls and move the chains. Aiken has proven serviceable at that.

Says a lot when those big plays come in the biggest game of the year. Aiken has been good but very inconsistant for someone who has so much more experience in the league. Like ive said before, maybe there is a reason why he is known as a journeyman. 

I wouldn't take him over Aiken. Aiken is a solid #3 and I think he will be part of this team going forward. He does pretty well in that role when other guys are getting attention from the top corners. However I think this guy is much more intriguing than Marlon at this point. Butler and givens haven't been Doing much either. I think we should really consider bringing up Daniel brown as well. from what I understand he just hasn't produced. Although the Seahawks obviously don't have the greatest passing attack.

He is like Aiken, a great role guy. As long as he isnt counted on to be the guy all game long, he can spark offense. His size and speed will match up well with our other WRs. Butler and Givens are still new and given they have a new QB now, I cant blame their production to a point. I still believe the new guy, Perrimen, Camp, Waller, and maybe even givens are held over to next year, we draft a WR in the first 3 rounds and they all battle it out for 5-6 spots going into next season.

Like this signing. Has a lot of potential. Can see Ravens really making the rest of the season a big try out for WR. They are looking for Flaccos future targets now, not just the draft. This guy I would take over Aiken at this point.

Had posted a couple weeks ago about if we should rest Flacco since the line was not constant and his weapons were not there. So now Flacco is gone for the year, do we keep trying or just bow out the rest of the season and try to come back better in 2016?

Bosa. A constant pass rush will make our DBs better. The less time an secondary has the cover, the better their stats are.

Boyd would get more targets and catches. Perrimen would get more yards and PI's. have Camp as the slot and Darren and Givens as the depth, the type of production Flacco could get out of that WR group would be beyond anything we have ever gotten before.

Time to start the new talent, that is great idea. Build now and reset next season. The draft will still offer quality upgrades and the ravens will make WR and DB along with pass rusher a sure priority int he draft. Now its just time to see who we can savage for next season.

Yeah, maybe he would be better off with the field in the front on him. would make drafting next year easier if both S spots are sured up.

This is the kinda of loss that hits your soul. Flaccos int's, the Fumble, the missed FG, the last penalty of the game, when Kendrick botched that game closing int, I thought to myself, that is gonna come back to haunt us. Surely did. At this point we just need to keep flacco and our core guys healthy for 2016 because I would hate to see Flacco or another big piece of our plan go down to injury. Just kinda wonder when do you shelf your VIP's so to keep them from being injured late in the season?

Marlon Brown might end up last WR on the depth chart if his rate of production continues.

Cannot wait to see what butler brings to the table.

Totally down with the idea of Givens and Perrimen leading the way with Camp and Waller on the depth chart as well in 2016. Totally think SSS is coming back, Waller would make a good replacement for Brown, and Camp is a great intermediate threat across the middle. Adding in Gilmore, Williams, and Boyle and barring a bad draft or FA, we should be back in the title race. I take this season as one big rebuilding year for the Ravens.

Couple of problems I have with this very one-sided piece...

 

It is only one sided when someone who obviously is thinking more from a fan perspective than an actual caring human being perspective would be. 

 

1, For your stallworth argument. If you believe  that is the case then I feel for you truly. What part of driving drunk and hitting someone with your car, killing them, did you not pick up in that story? It does not get much more detailed than that. If you want to display pity for a murderer than that is your twisted agenda, but I wonder how the family of the victim would feel about that. Matter of fact, put yourself in their shoes and see if you would feel the same way....... you wouldn't, to make it easy for you....

 

2. as for Adrian Peterson, I need you to read this quote because honestly I really dont think you know about this case as much as you think you do.

"visible swelling, marks and cuts" on the child's ankles, limbs, back, buttocks and genitals"

On his genitals and you say that would be accepted by so many people in the south? that sounds kinda sick honestly and you should probably retract that statement and if not I really hope you don't have children if you think that is normal behavior. To beat a kid to that extent should involve jail time for any individual and as much as you think its just a fan complaining on their couch, you sound like you care more about your fantasy league than the safety of that poor child. Oh yeah, and the only reason Peterson would out the amount of time he was, was due to the team getting negative PR if they had let him back in and play immediately, which is sad that a teams only reason for not playing a guy in the situation like that was due to possible lost sales in jerseys and merch.

 

3. The whole "message they send to the kids" argument is lazy and ignorant comment is ignorant beyond belief and sad....... oh so sad. The NFL markets to kids everyday, the create events and even have websites and games that target kids. Not to mention the training camps players are paid to goto year after year. If you don't think that doesn't influence a child in some way REGARDLESS of how you raise your child, once again I hope you don't have any because you are seriously missing the point of the challenges a real parent faces. That comment alone spits in the face of any parent who have had issues with kids or teens who find inspiration and mentors elsewhere, which is like 95% of the population in this country. I guess if you deprive your kid from all forms of entertainment and sports I guess you would be right in that comment but you would also be a horrible parent as well...

 

 

4. There's pros and cons to everything in life. While celebrities and rich/important people seem to get beneficial treatment from the legal system, keep in mind that the legal system isn't the be-all, end-all of punishment in this country.

 

Ray Rice was a sacrificial lamb to help the NFL save face, if you cannot see that then keep living the lie but at the end of the day any player that did what he did or what Hardy did should never be allowed to be face of an NFL team. When you wear that shield you are more than just a player, you are an example. An example of what the league is and what they represent. when a player does anything that negatively affects the league, its up to the league to decide do they want this type of person to be the guy that people say "well, if what he did was so bad, then why didnt the NFL punish him?". Which in most cases if it could be swept under the rug by the league or the players union, it will be or at least contested and have a possible sentence reduction(hardy, brady). As an avg joe, I dont have as much influence over a mass of kids, people, and money as a superstar player or league official. But to someone who millions of kids look up to(and yeah, you say all those kids parents are horrible for allowing that to happen but like you say, easy to say from a fans couch right?.  End of the day, playing in the league is a privilege,  not a right, and unfortunately people have forgotten that, either for money or what every reason but it happens. They need to stop allowing people like hardy to play freely while players like Rice are blackballed from the game. Be fair, ban them all. 

 

 

This is what happens when you allow greed to ruin a sport. Trust me, if greg hardy was a washed up talent or middle of the road player with less value, he would be black balled from the league, kinda how Rice is getting black balled right now. It sickens me how players with talent and a name(Brady) can manage to get away with anything in this league. Lets not forget that Donte Stallworth killed a person, KILLED a person while drunk driving, and still managed to play again the next season. Mean while a regular joe like you and me would be in bars or death row. How does that make sense? It makes sense because we allow it. Adrian Peterson is playing right now not because he is innocent of what he did but because people need him on their fantasy rosters and the NFL and fantasy football makes tons of money off these people(Remember how Brady got off easy this year after destroying his phone only to find out that the judge that decided the case had brady on his fantasy team, talk about conflict of interest). Its the same in celeb life. Caitlin Jenner should be in bars right now for vehicular manslaughter but in america, if you have the cash and the fame, you can get out of anything............anything. What a great message to send to the kids who look up to these people. I myself would like to see a petition stating that the NFL no longer run female/children themed events until they clean up their image on how their players treat women and children. Beyond that, the NFL and associated organizations should not longer allow players with a past of domestic violence and excessive drug use host or become analyst of their shows as well. I am even open to the idea that players with an extreme history of the sorts be taken out of the HOF as well. Why should you have a bust in Canton of a man who beat women and took drugs, no way should someone like that taint the halls of Canton, ever!

Maybe Taylor could be a depth player. Being a former #1 draft pick is not a bad signing if he still shows talent and with the starters we have now, he may not risk that much injury having to play a lot. Maybe 10-15 snaps a game to relieve the starters and he would get decent time and we dont get any drop off in production.

Givens, Perrimen could end up being our top 2 WRs in 2016 season. Flacco has always needed speed and quick WRs to really use his arm the right way. could you imagine if Flacco had actual deep threats that could challenge the D deep along with our staple of TEs controlling the middle of the field and the seam? we would be beast and it would open so many running lanes. Stop being cute with the WRs choice and give Flacco what he needs, guys who can get the ball out of his hands quickly. I am not the biggest football mind but I do know dlinemen work off of timing alot. which means if they notice a QB holding the ball longer, they will pin their ears back and go and not worry about much else. If the QB is getting the ball out fast, they will try to stay back and knock it down. With the ability to mix up the dropback steps Flacco does, which also puts into account the amount of time he holds the ball, the D will be forced to stay honest. They expect a short pass and stay back to try and block the ball, that would open up some space for the run or a pump fake and go deep. We just need faster guys outside. We have the TEs and running game, just need some guys to back up the D to give them space.

Dont mind trading out of the top 10 either as long as were still within the first 13-14 picks. Could still get some serious ammo for next year and current. Along with our usual comp picks, Oz could pick up monroes replacement, Suggs future replacement, followed by a series of DBs and LB's that can help solidify the passrush and run game. Not to mentioned possibly another early round WR and C to replace Zuttah.

Something tells me that Givens may end up in the ravens future plans along side Waller, Camp, and Perrimen coming next season. Not to see what Morgan can do.... Thats a pretty young squad right there if you think about it...

Could really exhaust a defense constantly rotating in solid pass catchers/ blocking TEs that can go up the seam or take shots in the middle. hope pitta can play...

The big play ability is exactly what we need right now. 2015 is pretty much a tryout for the 2016 season at this point and if he can prove that he can give us the play we are looking for, he may just carry over into 2016. I kinda like what OZ is doing here. Getting speedy pass catchers that can go deep and make contested catches. speed and the ability to catch and make solid routes is a trait our ravens WR have missed outside of SSS. Having a young group of guys that can show all three will give us what we need to make a SB run next season. The more pieces we can get taken care now, the less draft picks we use next offseason. Smart move OZ.
