  1. Well when I see any of those cities have empty stands for a season and still turn a profit, Ill believe it...
  2. No wins, no value. Ask the Jags how much value they have right now...
  3. That pass was off completely. Cant blame a guy when his QB throws behind you.
  4. do we really need size to hit ddwn field though? We have a 6'6 240lbs WR that can jump. I could imagine a good back should pass or a jump ball in one on one coverage could give the same affect.
  5. The best stat was Marlon Browns 2-25 on the day. No team can win with that type of total. I know Denver was stout on defense but not many team gets to shut Payton out of the endzone. May be a littler to face later this season as his arm wears down but this could have gotten us in a good spot starting out for the season. Hopefully Perrimen and Pitta come back soon because we need some more playmakers on this team. Marlon and Aiken kinda vanished from this game and has been for a couple seasons now so If this does not change it will make the move that allowed Torrey to leave to look real bad.

  7. There has been a lot of talk about these guys and the competition in the Pre-season but who would you prefer make the 53 man roster at WR? Here are my choices to start off.... 11 Aiken, Kamar WR 6-2 215 26 3 Central Florida *Has potential but tends to vanish in games. If the other WR's, TE, and running game can come on early in the season and during games, Aiken will get open from time to time and make plays but will need someone to take some of the defensive eyes off his way to do so possibly. 83 Brown, Daniel WR 6-5 225 23 R James Madison *Trestmen likes big WR, here is one right here. To infuse more mismatches for the offense benefit, Brown could help when in redzone and short down gains. As you saw in his preseason TD, had great ability to catch the ball high over the defender and shield the ball from contact and other defenders to get the score. He is young and you can never have too many big guys streaking downfield. 14 Brown, Marlon WR 6-5 214 24 3 Georgia *Hoping to prove those 7TDs were not a fluke, Marlon will have to step up and with his ability to catch backside throws and streak across the deep middle, Marlon could provide some more help where the Ravens had a really hard time scoring the last few seasons, the redzone. 15 Campanaro, Michael WR 5-9 185 24 2 Wake Forest Flacco's own personal Wes Welker type slot WR. This kid can play KR, PR, and is hard to play against in a zone or man to man. Quick off the line, expect him to pick up those sneaky yards going across the field and sitting in the zone open spots. He is going to make life hard on safeties and LBs trying to cover him. 18 Perriman, Breshad WR 6-2 212 21 R Central Florida *Torrey 2.0 and 1st RND pick.......................need I say more? 89 Smith Sr., Steve WR 5-9 195 36 15 Utah *The best WR we have on the team by a long shot.............................period. 12 Waller, Darren WR 6-6 240 22 R Georgia Tech *The reason I kept 7 WRs in my pick instead of 6. With his size and speed, and smarts given his high wonderlic test scores, there is some serious potential that can be unlocked with this kid and once it is, look out, you add him, Max, and our running game, its gonna be pretty hard to stop all three. I like 7 WRs on the roster this year due to constant injury from camp and SSS pending retirement next year. So with that in mind, what say you Ravens faithful?????
  8. Well both teams will know each others offense but the only advantage here goes to the ravens since they have added some new parts here and there from Trestmen. I saw a post about how the Broncos will come after Flacco this game but since Marc is big on screen passes and passes to the RB, that may be a bad plan given Forsetts speed. A Blitz on a screen to Forsett or even to a WR like Camp could go yard. I bet if that happen, Dever will become more conservative from that point on. Lets not forget we do have some vastly large WR's that could be a threat on the outside. Marlon Brown, Aiken, and Waller in single coverage could cause some serious issues for Denver if left alone so we will have to see how this one goes.
  9. This WR has a lot of ability to win 1 on 1 battles with size and speed mismatches. Brown, Waller, Aiken, and Williams can all use their bodies effectively while Camp, SSS, and Forsett has great agility and speed to cause issues for bigger defenders. I will not worry too much about Waller because he may not have alot of playing time but he comes from a school whose offense is built off the play action and Flacco is always on fire when the play action is working well. Plus with all that size, you have some serious holes opening up for the running game too.
  10. Great job Daniel!!!
  11. Hope they can reclaim Daniel Brown. Could be a worthwhile project.
  12. Brown may have saved himself from cut day. Would like to see if he can improve and maybe get on the roster next season or if there is an injury.
  13. What are the qualifications for PS? I may have to google that one....
  14. I agree, I was just keeping in mind Camps injury problems, as well as Perrimen, and Steve Smiths retirement for next year. Not to say we couldnt just reload next year since I heard the WR class in 2016 is gonna be insane.
  15. He might be done then, at least for a decent part of the season if he was not put on IR or something like that. I would not worry too much about getting him now if interested though, I bet he will probably be a mid or late season injury pick up if that...
  16. That extra saved up cap is really gonna help out week 1.
  17. Add Nelson and Daniel Brown to that mix as well. They have shown good potential and I believe if they have a strong enough showing, Aiken or even Marlon Browns position on the team may be up in the air.
  18. From the sample size we have seen I would take a chance on him over Butler and Carter at this point just off the fact that his size alone will cause attention in the backend of a defense. Waller could have hands of stone but no DC in their right mind would leave him alone with a 5'11 or 6'0 CB, especially near the red zone. That shift in attention will get Williams, Gilmore, or Smith open definitely and he would not even have to touch the ball. Not to mention he has blocked pretty well so there is that. I agree that he still has a long way to go but I think that is the awesome part of it. If he still has a long way to go and people are this excited already, imagine when he actually gets there? If camp can stay healthy and we can acquire some good depth at WR down the road, Flacco gets at least another ring before he turns 33, if not sooner(barring any collapse in the D over that time, as well as coaching and Ozzy still being here of course lolz).
  19. If Waller has managed to impress Joe, I think we can now put to rest any change of Waller not making the team if he can stay improving over the preseason. TBH I think they should also take a look at that Daniel Brown guy as well. Deandre Carter and Butler has not impressed in games as much as I would like and Camp is having injury issues again. Marlon Brown I hope has a good year but in the end there have been times last year where Brown has totally vanished during games, something you cannot allow happen if you want to be a true #1 or #2 WR. Daniel Brown and Waller are two big guys Flacco can just toss it up to when we face teams with Smaller CBs who can be out jumped. I have said for a long time if Flacco had the big bodied WR types that Rivers have had the chance of enjoying for so many years, I think it wouldnt just propel Flaccos stats but possibly give #5 a shot at MVP honestly.
  20. I know the Eagles game was a bust but I did see some more improvement by Waller, Daniel Brown making a point to stay on and butler and carter kinda drop in production. I would really like to see Waller and Brown on the outside next game with Butler, or maybe even Nelson in the slot and see how that works out. Both Brown and Waller are big guys who can carry defenders and to be honest I think Flacco would do well with two big targets to throw to along side Gilmore and Williams. Good Redzone Guys too.
  21. I think by midseason that will no longer be an issue. In the long term this kid will be hard to stop if Perrimen can beat the injury bug and camp can stay healthy in the slot.
  22. Thats not a bad idea. Dont forget about that converted safety too, forgot his name, he looks to have some good route understanding for defensive guy.
  23. I wanna know how defenses plan on stopping a 6'6 240lb WR streaking up the seam at a high 40 time.
  24. Well we could always use him as a extra safety in those hail mary cases....
