  1. With his speed at that size, good luck to any LB trying to cover him. And that means you will have two solid run block TEs and Williams that can play slot and outside in the red zone. Pitta I think is done and Boyle may have already worn out his welcome. TBH, if it works with the Waller at TE situation, I wouldnt mind keeping Waller, Gilmore, Maxx, and Boyle and do a lot more two and three TE sets.
  2. He's going to line up in the slot and on the outside just as a receiver would. Calling him a TE is all semantics. The guy isn't going to be lined up inline very often. He is more of a move tight end like Jimmy Graham. Whether he is called a move TE or WR doesn't really doesn't make a difference because they do the same things. It may make a difference when its time to pay up but hopefully it wont come to that lolz.
  3. None of these DBs fits our plans for 2016. Prince and Jenkins may price out of our range and the rest are too old. scheme is to load up on youth and try to make another 6-7 year playoff run. Now that KO is gone, get ready to hear either Stanley or Tunsil get called on draft day at #6. From there, we are more than likely looking at a pass rusher, then CB, then WR, then BPA.
  4. Campanaro = at best, he would be mini - pitta. That solid handed receiver that bails out Flacco on 3rd downs. At worst, another injury prone WR that struggles to stay on the field. Mosley = If we can find him a talented partner at ILB than expect big things. Maybe not DEF MVP, but expect another large leap from the young LB. Zadarius. schemes will make ZDS a force if used correctly. whether at Will, SAM, or coming straight down the middle at the ILB spot, changing where this guy comes from will be vital to his success as a defender in 2016. Jensen. All the starter potential in the world. I think he will prove to be a productive swing guard and maybe even a quality starter for the most part but dont expect Ben Grubs or KO like play. Will provide a solid run game up the middle though. Urschel = Nothing like having a math genius running the center of your line. If Urschel can clean up some of his technique and add some muscle in the offseason, he could be a very impressive center for years to come. Very well may add some cap space by allowing the Ravens to let Zuttah walk as well. Maxx. Only time will tell but Maxx could be a superstar if we allow him to not have to take on double teams. Gronk Maxx is not but he is a talented pass catcher up the seems and down the sidelines. While DBs will be watching Perrimen and SSSR, LBs may get dusted up the seam and on the edge by Williams. Gilmore = As quick and athletic Maxx is, Gilmore makes up for in sheer brute strength. Nothing like seeing a 275lb TE dragging DBs to a first down. Gilmores power and run blocking mixed with Maxx's ability to stretch the field up the middle will give Flacco a lot of options. Jernigan = This kid has ability, just needs to be more consistent. Another year under the defense and maybe an addition like Baylors Buckner could setup enough 1 on 1's that could really work to Timmy's favor. Perriman = A true speed merchant that can blow past anything Torrey may have done during his time here. Will probably need a WR to give him the 1 on 1's he need to go yard. in 3 seasons, could be top 10 in the league in yards and TDs over 40 yards. Waller = Big body guy that needs more time on the field I think. Need to really give him a shot in Preseason this year to see what can really do. He can up big on ST and at WR a few times last year before his injury. People thinking he is not worth a shot will regret it if he goes to another team. Trust me, Detroit and SD would love a WR of his ability right now. Givens = Hear a lot of people say be done with him but I think we should at least see if he can fight for a roster spot. you have a QB with a big arm and will have more than likely a more solid Oline than last year. I think to really make this offense humm, we need to grab speed in bunches. Either with givens, the draft, or FA, speed and size advantages will be how we get over in 2016. Davis = Was a good CB until injury. Would do well in our dime and nickel packages. Would put less pressure off of possibly doubling up on DB in the draft. Urban = lots of potential here. As a pass rusher, have the length to known down short passes and when 1 on 1, will probably dominate more times than not. Having Buckner and Urban rotating in and out will make it a long day or opposing linemen. Orr = maybe depth and ST contributor. If Oz cannot find his guy in the draft, expect Orr to get some time tho. Boyle = Dont be surprised if Ravens sight a late round TE because of Boyles off the field issues. He is gonna have to really produce to get out of the doghouse now. Butler = potential PS member again? Possibly a TC cut. At best, backend roster WR. We shall see. Matthews = May have a bigger role than many think in 2016. Combine him with Waller, Gilmore, and Williams and you have a dream situation in the redzone. Brooks = This may be his last season to prove he can bare fruit in production. Ravens seem to be in win now mode which means the time for players to get with the program has been cut considerably.
  5. A possible mid rounder who has pretty good hands and has the physical ability to be a solid #1 target. Just enough speed to separate and the leaping ability to beat smaller DBs in jump balls. 6. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/03/07/ravens-except-osemele-to-leave/ this could just be speculation but it doesn't look like we will be able to keep him. As much as I agree with your point, it would not surprise me if, just like the draft, some team over reaches, and over pays KO assuming he could be their future plug and play guy at T/G for the foreseeable future.....
  7. So it seems LT will be more than likely our first pick going into next season unless we can grab a good solid LT in FA.
  8. I always wondered why we could be the other way around. Why can we open up the run with the pass? There have been times we have tried to run on teams and it became very predictable. 1st down run, second and short run, why cant we open up the passing game first to make teams back up so that our o-line can be more effective blocking less guys. The strategy may change from game to game but as a kick starter I would love to see the same balance but to see the ravens use Flaccos arm to scare DBs to backup and then maul them on the ground.
  9. Its possible, they may not see him as the same freak as Suggs was when he came out, speed-wise. He will push the line back and control the run but with the power to just collapse a line from the inside with a possible comination of Timmy, Buckner, and Williams? not to mention Urban and Davis waiting depth-wise. That could be a more talented front then Bosa in the lineup.
  10. The idea of OT at #6 is not sexy for alot of people but picking up Stanley in the first to solidify that left side for the next 7-9 years would be great. Monroe is a good player when healthy which can be a coin flip since recently. If we pick up an OT then we can let him play OG until he is either ready or once the dead money from Monroes contract gets reasonable. that allows Jensen to be used as a depth player for both OG positions and would be somewhat of a cheaper options than going into FA if Monroe gets hurt again.
  11. My excitement comes from a more long term outlook than just next season. We found out what some of these players could do during the season, thanks to the large stack of injuries we picked up through the year. Each one of these guys will be looking to grab a spot next season so having some additional tape on these guys will go a long way. I would expect at the least 3 solid players from this list to consistently perform during the year, along with a possible high draft pick and/or FA selection. Having at least that much, along with a solid running game, brought about by possibly drafting a high rated T in the 1st, our TE's and stocked RB backfield, this would setup our offense for a long time. Besides, I dont see it laughable that we could possibly come away with a group good enough to carry just one rookie and/or FA and still be dynamic. Keep in mind our Oline was bad all year, which messes with the QB, which messes with the WRs performance as well. You give Flacco a solid line and some time and I bet alot of those players will show their actual potential and this offense will be steamrolling teams deep in January.
  12. Imagine, including a draft pick and FA, we will have to pick a solid 6-7 WRs out of this group! I am very excited about 2016. 15 Campanaro, Michael WR 5-9 185 25 2 Wake Forest 18 Perriman, Breshad WR 6-2 218 22 R Central Florida 89 Smith Sr., Steve WR 5-9 195 36 15 Utah 12 Waller, Darren WR 6-6 245 23 R Georgia Tech 11 Aiken, Kamar WR 6-2 215 26 3 Central Florida 13 Givens, Chris WR 6-0 203 26 4 Wake Forest 83 Brown, Daniel WR 6-5 225 23 R James Madison 17 Butler, Jeremy WR 6-2 213 24 2 Tennessee-Martin 81 Clay, Kaelin WR 5-10 195 24 R Utah 84 Matthews, Chris WR 6-5 218 26 2 Kentucky
  13. It seems more and more likely the ravens will trade back and stock picks. Looking at the middle rounds. The real talent value will be in rounds 2-4 so busting our brains for a blue chipper when we can get solid players + depth, I would rather pick at #12-15 after a trade or two than pick at #6.
  14. That burns kid from Miami would be a great backup plan if Ramsey isnt available: As with Ramsey, Burns also has Safety experience and is a press cover player but has speed to play outside as well.
  15. If we draft thompson, what does that do for web? his replacement? allows web to go back into the slot? let him go altogether? If he goes in the 2nd then I assume we get DB or Pass Rusher in the first. I am almost 100% sure OZ is trading up if Ramsey gets picked early, so maybe its not a bad idea to get thompson in the 2nd since we may have an extra 2nd round pick anyway after our trade(Vernon H? Eli Apple? Chilhoun?) Im pretty sure the first couple rounds will go to building back up the defense. something tells me we go back to our old fashioned draft game and get some serious depth and a couple starters in the first 4 rounds. Thompson would be a great center fielder though.
  16. I live in Charlotte but love the Ravens, Cam has nothing on Flacco's arm!!! Any other Ravens fans in the Tar-Heel state?
  17. More reasons for the ravens to possibly trade back and grab more picks. These guys could be a serious impact for our defense. Imagine Oakman and ZaDarius backing up Doom and Suggs. Better yet, imagine Rankins coming in for Williams during long passing downs. Timmy, Rankins, and Urban with Suggs and Doom rushing the passer sounds like what our pass rush needs to really get after the passer. If Ramsey is gone, I say move back. We can still get Eli Apple, Vernon H, or another highly ranked DB in the middle of the 1st round while grabbing a possible second and/or 3rd round picks.
  18. Big fan of Eric Striker. Love his ability to be small but can show enough power and speed to beat tackles around the corner. You put him next to CJ and you will have a seriously dangerous pass defending line-backing core, as well as a pretty good inside blitzer, for years to come. Also love Treadwell. The idea of having a proven pass catcher teamed with possibly the fastest WR from last years draft would be a nightmare for defenses when you add SSS coming back. Honestly, I see Oz trading back for more picks, so maybe we get a WR in the 2nd round. Back when we drafted Flacco, we almost traded down to the end of the draft before coming back to the middle to grab #5. Maybe we do that again this year. There is cornerstone talent in the top 15 this year but there is also high ceiling talent all over the 2-3 rounds. This is where OZ will do his most damage and rebuilding our aging positions with youth and speed.
  19. After reading this, I would not be surprised if there is a push for a speed guy in the first 3 rounds. I hope they pull the trigger on Will Fuller or Caroo tbh: http://www.foxsports.com/nfl/story/pittsburgh-steelers-baltimore-ravens-joe-flacco-speed-envy-012216
  20. I assume if we do plan to get a left tackle it will be post june 1 release to save some money. Which would mean a lot of the good talent will be gone. Maybe DB and WR will have something via cap casualties but thats all I can think of.
  21. You could say Cam and Olsen tbh. And you are right, Flacco just needs his version of "the guy". I feel the reason for speed is because theres more chance of big plays down field and PI calls as well. Flacco can hit any part of the field with his arm and to have a speedster that can split a defense and go yard would make more use of his arm then a big bodied guy who can grab 10 - 15 yards at a time. Thats why I hope Will Fuller, Sterling Sheppard, Or Caroo end up on our roster next season.
  22. Not a big guy by much but he is able to get deep. Besides, We have Waller and Matthews as the red zone guys and big body targets. Kinda want to add a second guy, like Shepard or Fuller. No way our division would be ready for that.
  23. Per CBS Reports School: Rutgers Sr H:6-0 LBS:205 RD:2-3
  24. With the tape I saw, not sure if Carroo will last past 3rd round. If he does, I think he would be a steal with his ability to get open.
  25. I like what I saw from some of our guys this year but my only issue is the that with SSS, we know he is gone by next year. We are still not sure what we have in Waller, Butler, and Matthews. In addition, we are not sure if Camp can last an entire season, and to be honest, Aiken would vanish during games before he was forced into the #1 WR position this year. Theres good arguments to possibly blow up the bottom half and try again in the draft and FA but I think we do have some really good parts on offense. I would like to see what Givens can do when healthy, so keeping him another year isnt not too bad of an idea. Besides, if he works out, he can help fill out the roster when SSS hangs it up.
