  1. Waller gives Flacco that guy who can out muscle smaller DBs to the catch point and can get good yardage on back shoulder passes. Fade routes, once Waller gets a year under his belt could be unstoppable in that package. Put him in the slot and now you have Williams, Waller up the seam and SSS and Perrimen possibly up the sidelines...........pick your poison in 2016 defenses....
  2. His release is crazy though, did you see how he just bullied his way past some of those CB's? Unless you have a big Jimmy sized corner on him, I can see Waller doing to small DB's the same Funches or Benjamin do now to DB's. May also force coverage on to his side, allowing Max and Perrimen to do their thing...
  3. Would love to see if Flacco can really make Waller a threat with Perrimen out and Brown being eased back. The TC battle with him and Butler for the 6th spot is gonna be good just want to see more of each in the next few games since we already know what SSS will bring to the table and Perrimen not being back probably until week 3.
  4. If you can have a guy draw penalties just because of his size alone, then add the fact that once perrimen comes back, his speed will also draw penalties, we may be able to get out of some bad long and distance plays just by tossing it up down field. Hope Matt saw the tape and decides to target Waller more next game.
  5. Waller was open a couple of times during the game, he just didn't get a lot of looks. If you look at the play where butler missed that sideline catch, Waller had already beat his guy on the line. If there wasnt a safety over there I am pretty sure that would have been a TD. You can tell by the one catch he did make, he may not be the guy you put in screens but he is the guy if you can catch him in stride or going up the field he is going to break a tackle or two or at least take a DB with him on his back. guys strong, like a slimmer "move" TE when on the field. also liked the fact he was in with the second team and not the thirds and camp bodies.
  6. If Canty, Suggs, and Smith all retire next season, it would suck but at the same time, the strong point of the ravens drafting is being able to pick strong quality players in the front 7. I have no doubt we will find big guys up front to provide depth and potentially our new guy Zadarius may be able to just step in and take over by then as well..
  7. I think a solid year of polishing will do wonders for him. Having SSS leaving after the season will def open up a slot. If Breshad is not injury prone, we could already have our set of WR going into 2016!
  8. I agree, after seeing some of the tapes of him in practice he does look the part of a dominating WR if he keeps up with his development. I will tone down my excitement about tonight but with Marlon and Perrimen out I think we may be in for some surprises at WR, in a good way. I would like to see him moved around as well, after hearing about him dusting web in practice I would love to see if he can replicate that type of success on the field. In the slot he would be like another TE with his size but faster then LBs but stronger and more physical than the DBs and honestly, how many teams will have enough 6'0+ corners to deal with Waller, Brown, and possibly Williams all at the same time? Lastly, being from a team that never really cared about the passing game should put a somewhat chip on his shoulder to show he can make those catches into something.
  9. The more I hear about him the more I like, hope he can make the most of those rep Thursday... http://russellstreetreport.com/2015/08/11/camp-notes/darren-waller-slow-day-at-training-camp/
  10. Even if he is the last WR on the 53, he needs to make the team. A good redzone threat and well rounded blocking skills as a GT vet and technically he could play a move TE type role if needed inside the redzone. Exhibit A: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/videos/videos/Top-Play-Flacco-Finds-Giant-Red-Zone-Target-/760822fd-c821-4b4f-9e95-2e5207b1fb18 Just hope we get to see him do this in the preseason...
  11. It would be nice if Waller could step it up maybe in the preseason and really put that size and speed combo of his on display. Would suck to see a guy with his potential go only due to the fact he may actually realize it eventually somewhere else.... http://www.baltimoreravens.com/videos/videos/Top-Play-Flacco-Finds-Giant-Red-Zone-Target-/760822fd-c821-4b4f-9e95-2e5207b1fb18
  12. We keep another weapon out of big bens hands. We have a TE that could take some eyes off pita and help him as well dominate the middle/seam of the field, allowing for Steve Smith and Perrimen to burn down field. I cant wait for kickoff! http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000481542/article/jeremiah-compares-minnesota-te-maxx-williams-to-todd-heap https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVd2SaGRvPo
  13. Reggie is done, a decent option for maybe 20 plays a game but after that he is a shell of himself by the time playoff rolls around. With the guys we picked up in the draft and our returning players, its gonna be a monster competition that may lead to a 6 or even 7 wr group so yeah, Reggie would take up uneeded space. Now if we were only asking this question 9 years ago.....
  14. If the TE depth can come on strong this year, Breshad, SSS, Waller, Marlon, Aiken, and Camp will have all the space they need on the outside because defense is gonna have to watch the seams with Pitta and Williams in a dual TE set.
  15. I see Davis, Timmy, and Williams being the future of the line for this team. They all have skillsets that sets them apart from each other and in my head I also think to myself, how many times have the ravens let go of a big player on our team and then a season or two later, the former player is barley hanging on or obviously lost a step and the new guy in his place is a solid starter or ready for the probowl.....
  16. Making a defense pay for coming after Flacco is something I think everybody here can get behind. Enters Forsett and Allen. Two fast shifty guys who can catch out the backfield and provide as a backup safety blanket if Wiliams or Pitta is covered. A couple draw plays out the Shotgun would also make those Defenses back up too. With Williams and Perrimen and forsett and allen, we have all the speed we need to kill a defense either out the backfield, up the seams or on the outside. pick your poison AFC NORTH.
  17. Give it to a Offensive Linemen to know a thing or two about intrusion protection lolz..
  18. Joe Flacco thinks he can play until he’s 40 Posted by Michael David Smith on June 8, 2015, 1:09 PM EDTGetty ImagesRavens quarterback Joe Flacco turned 30 in January, but he thinks he has more than a decade of football left in him. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/06/08/joe-flacco-thinks-he-can-play-until-hes-40/
  19. How awesome would it be to not only have an "Ironman" of MLB but the NFL as well....
  20. We Have Camp, Deandre Carter, Steve Smith, I think we have enough guys who can play slot. With Marlon, Aiken, Perrimen, and Waller able to play on the outside, I think having Welker would be a waste of cap.
  21. Really hoping Waller continues to impress in TC.. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2486809-baltimore-ravens-ota-standouts-worth-keeping-an-eye-on-this-offseason/page/1
  22. You know what, I hate to say this but darnit if it aint true. Just hope it isnt an AFC opponent at least.
  23. I agree. especially if Waller and Allen can contribute early and keep forsett/Smith SR rested for the playoffs. We have a great set of WRs via talent and ability, Perrimen, SSS, Marlon, Aiken, Camp, Waller, and worthy. I think we have the offense to go deep and play middle and run. we are finally what looks like to be a well rounded offense and the defense is younger and faster in the front 7 as well as more talented then a year ago in the back 4. If Flacco can increase his PA and deep ball plays, Ravens go 13-3 and Flacco becomes 2X MVP.... (Seriously guys, if Breshad and Waller can prove to be our 1 and 2 receivers, Ravens could put themselves in position to go back to back as well.)
  24. If Max Williams can be the thorn in the side of the Steelers as much as Health Miller was for us, it would be worth the extra draft pick to move up....
  25. I agree, We havent even mentioned Buck Allen and Darren Waller yet, two guys would could add considerable depth and potential starting ability in the future.
