I just remembered we got Bengals week 1. This should be fun.

Sorry. Just a week to go but still worth using.
Interesting. Still wouldn't use it though. I like to see stupid comments. Mine definitely fit in that category as well.

I hate this pick. But I do not hate Marlon Humphrey .
Marlon does a lot of things well. He's very good at breaking on the ball, he's got good instincts. He's a very good player. He was third rated corner, and frankly, I think he has a higher floor than most give him credit for. I think when Jimmy goes down, Humphrey becomes invaluable depth. I eventually think that by mid-season he could be a good starter. He's got a lot of things that I like. Likewise, he could eventually play safety since he's better going towards the ball than he is backpedalling. Overall. Marlon isn't the issue for me.
My issue is passing up on Jonathan Allen. What the hell were we thinking? We trade away a damn good interior rusher when he was on his A game and have one fall right into our laps and we pass on him. Even with those shoulders, I do not understand that.
Don't get me wrong. Marlon is more likely than not to become a good player in my eyes. But my god. Freaking Allen was there. Smh Ozzie. What are you doing?
overall player grade: B. I think that by mid-season Humphrey gets the starting gig and does a good job.
Overall Grade: F. You get a bonafida stud and pass on him. What was Ozzie thinking?
Ozzie can draft DL. Not many chances we get to select a top CB.

Excellent height/weight/speed/length to be a physical press man corner that can blow up screens and outside runs. And he's the best run defending corner in the draft, bar none. He's very aggressive and can hit like a truck.
He recognizes and digests routes well. He makes pretty good breaks on the balls, but will get much better with better footwork.
He struggles on deep balls. He'll flip his hips too early to defend the deep ball and bites on double moves. Average ball production that should spike with better footwork. Does not turn his head enough at the moment.
Sounds familiar and that guy turned out ok for us... I'm not mad at the pick at all. We need physical bodies in the secondary, especially with the backs we need to deal with. Great size and speed combo and can easily be coached up. It feels so good to finally say... OUR SECONDARY IS A STRENGTH!
34 minutes ago, K-Dog said:God I love the "hide" feature.
Why am I just hearing about this?
I'm very good with this.
I'm guessing Howard.
So much for those weapons...
I wanted Honey Badger and La'el. If Conley falls to the 2nd, pull the damn trigger, Ozzie!

Talent issue or not, there's are reasons Joe threw to Dennis a lot in clutch situations. The two most obvious reasons are: 10 He was, next to Steve Smith, Sr. our most reliable "Go To" hands guy AND 2) he got separation by finding a dead spot in the zone coverages we faced a lot. I'd say they are both assets. More importantly, he has another asset that exceeds the other two, which is, he has the heart of a lion. They don't pay him to block or run deep patterns. They pay him to catch passes and he did that better than anyone else n the team. BUT, you got 1 out of 3 right. Speed is not his asset. His size, i.e., height, and his ability to get separation are assets. The very reason Joe had to dump off so many passes to his RBs and his FB was due to the inability of Aiken, Moore, Waller (a converted TE), Perriman and Wallace to get separation. You could count the number of open reads Joe missed during the season on one hand.
You sure about this?
@The Raven how could you be tired of the cliches? We're returning to smash mouth football. We could potentially, finally draft a #1 wr to pair with our elite qb. Deep draft too, so we may be able to get a CB and OLB to help our defense return to organized chaos. No more gutless play calling from passive Pees and his 3 man rushes. Also, even though we lost Zack Orr, we still have the heart and soul of our defense in Mosley.... Miss anything?
38 minutes ago, JoeyFlex5 said:Abandon the inside zone, it doesn't work unless your line has a very specific skill set.
Use the damn speed we have on offense. Our qb has probably the 2nd strongest cannon in the league, no need to emphasize hitting fast guys in stride on crossing routes when our receivers can get downfield in a hurry and our qb can get it there with a flick of the wrist
just take pitta off the field so joe can't default to him all the time
use pre snap motions for once
This is why I was hoping we cut him. That and the stable of TEs we have. Don't see why we don't put em to use. This goes back to misuse of personnel.
Also, if you want to relive the glory days, a bunch of old games can be found on youtube in HD quality. Watch or DL while you can.
29 minutes ago, The Raven said:The idea that Joe is not capable of being a WCO QB is just flat out wrong since his best year came in Kubiak's WCO. The issue is he needs a QB coach that will keep him reined in with good feet. We need an OC that drills into his head -- like Kubiak did -- that you need to throw to your reads and not wait for the deep ball. That's the advice I guess I'd give. Fix Joe's technique and work with him on making fewer risky decisions. WCO works in rhythm. It works when you take what the defense gives you.
I'd also advise using a run scheme that fits the personnel. You know, like not using a tight zone with a weak line. If the line is mobile run wide zone. If they're slow, run gap and power til a defense crumbles.
And for pete's sake stop wasting people's talent. He's gone now but Juice was woefully underused by every OC we've had. Kamar, yes, even Kamar, was underused. We could've used a big, strong handed receiver with solid route running and the ability to break tackles. Yet, we didn't even use Kamar. We needed a center that could hold his own in a bar fight and we trot out pathetic ole Zuttah, when we have a pancake machine in Jensen sitting on the bench.
Too often, we ask round pegs to fill square holes, when we already have square pegs. Too often, we get guys that fill a certain role, and then we use them in another. I really think there's a disconnect between the FO and the coaching staff. Our personnel rarely reflects our scheme and philosophy. I think Pees and the FO are finally on the same page, but I don't think our offensive staff has ever connected with the draft team.
This is what has been the problem for years. I think Kubiak and Caldwell were the only ones to do this well. People will say 13 was a failure, which it was, but mainly because of some of the worst OL play I've seen from a Ravens squad. People never seem to be used to their strength and it always feels like they try to make things as complicated as possible. The offense put up great numbers in post season play with Hurst starting. That's play calling and scheme. Team gets way too predictable.
1 minute ago, JO_75 said:I know right..... Is there some rule in the league office that states we have to play the Bengals in week 17? At leeast this time they let it be in Baltimore.... but man facing the Steelers coming off that long road trip to London followed by going to Oakland, then back home for Chicago. Could have at least switched Raiders and Bears so we had 2 straight home games coming off London.
Home MNF Game? Put your bets down now, we are winning the Super Bowl. Just saying, last time we had a home MNF we went on to win the Super Bowl. So I fully expect a 9-2 start, then a meltdown to barely win the division then January Joe takes us to Minnesota. *End Sarcasm*
If we get end of season Joe and full season out of Jimmy anything is possible. 2012 we opened up with Cinci too.. JS
Just now, 52520Andrew said:Nah ah aaaaah
This time we play the Bengals at home lol
My bad... read it wrong. For some reason thought we opened with them at home.
On 4/19/2017 at 8:12 AM, Pats said:Wait a minute, didn't he just get a non guilty verdict? Well anyways the guy was a murderer so this doesn't affect me really.
Yes. The irony of him getting life, for killing the person he thought would snitch, on murders he'd get off for is amazing.
I beg you NFL. No more season enders in Cinci.
1 hour ago, K-Dog said:I googled redrum 52 and came up with nothing that pretained to these boards or Ray.
20 minutes ago, Tank 92 said:Well, there's only one thing that 52 could refer to on a Ravens board. Google "redrum" and you'll find the reference to murder.
Being a native Marylander, Bay lover and amateur fisherman I thought maybe redrum52 may be the same(red drum). At some point it became apparent that was probably not the case, so I googled redrum and connected the dots. Just got curious, that's all.
Met him twice and once after the SB. Nice guy. Live in South FL and see him out sometimes. The name was more a play on words cause he's left many victims on the field.
43 minutes ago, Tank 92 said:The google machine is your friend.
No real reason to google someones name tho. How you doing buddy?
@LosT_in_TranSlatioN happy I never got on your bad side. I can truly say, though, I've gotten into with a few posters here, there's only one I really didn't like. Similar to you, I have no problem with different views as long as there's some rationale behind it.

I never picked up on that till now.
Well the cats out the bag now...
1 hour ago, rmcjacket23 said:Kind of hard to argue Ben is constant. Like most QBs, he struggled quite a bit and was very inconsistent his first 4-5 years in the league, and he definitely isn't putting up the same stats every year.
Can even look recently... 2016 his YPA, YPG and completion percentage were all significantly lower than in the previous few years.
Another fun fact people probably aren't aware of... on a per attempt basis, Ben turns the ball over more than Joe in his career.
It's funny to me how it's rarely mentioned how poorly he seemed to play the later half of the season even with a the run game going.
2 hours ago, rmcjacket23 said:If we get back KO and Wagner, we're still missing a Guard and a Center (because KO wouldn't be playing Guard if he were here, and Stanley wouldn't be on this team). Pretty much the same spot we are in now, if you think Lewis can be a decent RT.
I would also ask people to reference the 2014 season (and postseason most importantly), when Joe played quite well. In that postseason, we averaged 30 points a game on the road, in which our offensive line featured Hurst at LT, Yanda at RT, and Urschel at Guard. In fact, according to Pro Football Reference (and I don't remember if this is true or not), Urschel started at LEFT TACKLE against the Patriots, Hurst at RT, and Yanda moved back inside to Guard.
Stop and think about that for a minute. Our starting tackles in Foxboro in the playoffs were Urschel and Hurst. And we still scored 30.
The overall premise is accurate... Joe needs a good OLine. He does NOT, however, need a great OLine. For the most part, he's never had one.
I've brought up the OL situation a few times. We also beat the Steelers with Hurst at LT, I think. The problem is, we don't have Kubiak anymore, who I'm sure helped ease some of the pain and the rules have changed for blockers.
47 minutes ago, usmccharles said:I love how people seem to forget how Joe balled out, gave us two 14 point leads in Foxboro against a secondary that featured Revis. NFL definitely means not for long.
If only he'd start seasons like he finishes them. The 2 times he's started hot, the team at least made AFCCG. No real correlation except those were probably most talented teams, but you get the point.

I'll be honest, I thought the thread said "Looking for a new Partner", and I was like "Bruh. Wrong site for that. Jeez
I hate hp home printers as well. Never, ever have had a positive experience with them. I was spoiled growing up as my old man had access to the top of the line printing stuff because of his firm. Nowadays I'm stuck with an HP, but am looking to buy a new one as well.
When I made the thread I went and checked back, noticing it had a few views. I think some people thought the title was a trick. Thanks, though. I had bought an HP printer, but never opened it because I wanted some input first. Returning the trash today.
Leave me out your roast kind sir.
7 hours ago, rmw10 said:Are you using it for photos? If so, as mentioned above, I'd recommend Epson every single time. Also as mentioned, I would never purchase an HP again.
Mostly papers, reports, scanning and faxing. Photos will be one of my last uses, but it's crazy how many people have had bad experiences with HP. You all have a been a great help.
Thanks for the heads up.

I would've bet money he was going to be our pick, even with the logjam at the position.
Would love to get a rusher, but wouldn't be surprised if we go OL or ILB in the 2nd. Also, dont think Dalton has the arm to utilize Ross fully. People are going to say we did that cause of Ross but truth is, we needed another young guy and Bryant is coming back as well. I'm truly exciting to see this defense this season. We finally have the press man personnel everyone's been waiting for. I expect a top 5 sack total if we can actually stay healthy.
