  1. Nah I like Denzel and Crowe, but I'm not on the Denzel bandwagon like most of the world. Nah my fave gangster movies are the old ones with Cagney and Edward G. Robinson.

I mentioned it cause I saw you say you liked Scarface for the music. I feel the score for the movie and acting was very good. I'm also not on board for all of Denzels acting ventures but American Gangster and Man on Fire are up there on my list of favorites.

  2. Honestly, I couldn't get into Goodfellas either. Maybe it's the mick in me or the fact that I identify more with being an American over my Euro mut(Irish, English, Scottish and German) heritage, but I found it to be quite boring. Ive just never really seen the appeal to gangster movies. The only one I could ever really get into was Scarface. And that's cause the music was just so great. 80's? YES PLEASE. Anyways, I have Lone Wolf McQuade on the way from Netflix. A real man's movie.

    You seen American Gangster?

  3. I'm surprised The Amazing Spiderman was so well received. It's a superhero movie for Twilight fans.

I don't agree with that. It just happened to follow the comic more. I hated the Raimi/Tobey Spider Man's. The new guy fit the character and look more. And how dare you stick me in a category that involves Twilight fans. Never seen one and NEVER will. And don't get to use to Gwen Stacy.

  4. Except, there were Steelers in the movie......

Did you notice the kickers name was Ravens something. I caught that, but rest easy, most or them were killed in the blast.

Side note, I'd like to call Myth Busters and see if Hinds Ward could really return a kickoff.

  5. Dark knight rises comes out Thursday. Still prepared to be underwhelmed, hope they have subtitles for Batman/Bane since they just make guttural noises.

The reviews so far say its the best of the trilogy. Also, Bale finally nails the voice and Banes vocals have been cleaned up, though Nolan said he wouldn't.

Anyway, to pass time might try and catch Ted this week. Keep hearing good things about it. May also rewatch Spider Man.

Also, quick question, anyone seen Scott Pilgrim vs The World? Funny movie. Watch it almost every time I catch it on.

  6. Next movie I'm seeing is The Dark Knight Rises... July 20 won't come soon enough!!

The imax site was under attack by rabid fans so I couldn't get early tickets for the opening, but settled for regular theater. I've been waiting for that movie like kids wait for gifts on Christmas eve. Just saw Spider Man knowing it would be better than the others and it didn't disappoint. Can't wait for the sequels. Anyone who knows the comics knows Peter is going to reach breaking point. Like that they are sticking more to the comics. Also, is Ted really as good as people keep making it out to be?

  8. There are a few "tricks" I use to help me. The first is fairly common, in that I drink a lot of water every day. No less than 64-ounces each day.

The second is eating all-natural foods without processed sugars, etc. The best places to shop for all-natural foods are Meijer & Kroger as they have their all-natural sections. I really love the smoothies you can get by Bolthouse Farms. You want to beef up, try drinking the Green Goodness brand. You want to eat less, drink 8-ounces about 10-minutes before each meal.

The third trick I use, and it sounds completely nuts -- dry-skin brushing (exfoliating). Get you a shower brush, and scrub your skin down before you get into the shower. Arms, legs, chest, stomach and back. Again, it seems weird, but it does work as long as you stick with it. The human skin is nothing more than a sponge and your pores are always getting blocked by oils and other toxins. Dry-skin brushing before you shower, you will notice the difference in your skin when you step into the shower and lather up.

The last two tips I can give you are: during the warmer months, workout outside in the heat as opposed to inside an air-conditioned space. Lastly, treadmills & stationary bikes -- forget about it. You'll build more muscle and lose more weight if you actually go out and feel the resistance of the road. I bicycle 60-miles a week and run 20, not jog.

I currently 5'10", weigh 240-lbs, with 12% body fat. I keep going at this rate, I won't have a neck before too long.

WTH.. If Rice holds out I'll be your agent. Get you reps with the first team no problem

  9. He's in that movie? I haven't noticed anyone besides Anne Hathaway in the clips so far ;)

I like hardy a lot. He was great in inception

Was a little skeptical about her being picked at first, but that outfit does do her well. Maggie Gyllenhaall's death in TDK brought on a round of applause from me. She was an annoying character and had down syndrome face, with all respect to people with it and the utmost disrespect to her.

  10. Avengers was awesome, even my girlfriend loved it.

I cringed when I saw the latest Dark Knight Rises trailer, Bane is smaller than Batman.

The Batman trailer is good as hell and can't wait. Going to hold off on seeing Avengers til I get to NY so I can see it on the big Imax screen.
