Back in 2010 when I wanted S.Smith many talked down, quite curious how many praise now, although he's only shell of himself it's still a solid pick-up in my opinion.
If I would've seen this I might have agreed with you. The only reason people may have rejected it was cause every wr on the 10 team was slow. There was no speed and people probably wanted a faster guy.
Torrey gunning deep, Marlon on the outside, Iceman in the slot, Pitta at TE. Health permitting, we have an adequate group for Flacco to work with. Let's get a Center and RT and get our trophy back from the Ravens out west!!
A healthy Rice and improved line. Not making the playoffs will motivate em this year....
Hopefully
Mark My words, if the ravens make it back Into the playoffs next year, Steve Smith will have a bigger run than Q did. You need that clutch veteran in the playoffs, and Smith fits that bill.
If I had a choice I'd prefer Boldin but this is good. Good thing Ozzie got it done.
$10.5M with a $3.5M signing bonus.
Well done Ozzie.
Trade for Earl Thomas to fill up the FS spot
Not happening. I think the Seahawks have said he's a higher priority than Sherman at this point.
He's baaaaack
As far as people saying Smith might say something to Joe, good. Â We need a player that will hold people accountable when they're playing like trash, which happened a lot last year. Â It was annoying cause NO ONE ever seemed to get fired up and try to spark the offense. Â I said that was one of the things I missed about Boldin. Â Would love to have Smith here. Â Great on the outside, in the slot and not afraid to get in a defenders face. Â Looking like it's going to happen too. Â The only thing that concerns me is that we might not bring in another guy through the draft early. Â We still need a young guy to groom for later and not some late round pick either.
I know he's not a FA, but if Ozzie manages to pull off Mack, teams better beware. Â What was one a weakness would make our o line of the best in the league. Â I have to believe even Juan couldn't mess that up. Â With Kubiak and Dennison helping as well, our line would wear teams out physically and we would probably see one of our most successful offenses ever. Â Picking up Mack would also mean Ozzie can now get back to BPA instead of drafting by need. Â Would also mean, since so many holes have been filled, we could have the flexibility of trading up and not feeling obligated to stockpile picks. Â I know it's a long shot, but if it happens, the 8-8 season was worth it, if that's what it took for these moves to be made. Â Regardless, I'm still happy with what has happened so far. Â
I'm happy we're getting some consistency. If we could pick up a centenary Smith I'm good til the draft.
I'd take Mack over Monroe if the reports are true.
Would love both if possible.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I was negged! I was kidding people lol!
I got you. Jeez. Tough crowd. I was about to make a revis thread just to mess with the mods but left it alone.
I'd welcome him back. Arthur Brown, Rolando McClain, Daryl Smith(?), Albert McClellan, Josh Bynes is an OK LB corps. I still feel like we'd need another guy. I'd really like to transition to a 4-3 defense. I don't think we're that far off from it either.
With or without Jones, if McClain and Smith comeback, our front 7 is stacked.
Let's get Revis because apparently he's getting cut!
P.S. Don't neg me...........I'm totally kidding.
Damn. You beat me to it
It could if he gets arrested again. Our image already looks terrible.
Image is nothing. Thirst is everything.
I watched that game against the Pacers and the ting that surprised me even more than Harden going off was Roy Hibbert getting dominated in the post by Dwight. Hibbert needs to get back into playoff mode.
I dont think people realize how good a motivated Dwight is. He didnt ask to go to the Lakers. He was sent there. He got to choose his destination and is back having fun playing ball again. That and he's healthy. Its crazy to me how to media portrayed him and now that he's balling, he gets no recognition.
He wants and is going to get a lot. If we aren't going to pay Art Jones, we aren't going to pay Houston.
Ok. Hadn't heard anything about his price range.
For a minimum salary he would be worth looking at - he'd be the third corner here at best, and that might be a role better suited to him, covering the slot. I believe he's listed at 6'2". so his size would also be an asset in the slot covering some of those freak tight ends.
With our line up, I think he's Bette suited outside and Webb in the slot. Wouldn't mind, but everything comes down to what he would work with contractually.
Lamar Houston could be a decent pick up as well, depending on the amount he wants.
I'd like to make a move for Red Bryant. Think he could be useful on our d line. Not sure how much money he'd want. I feel he could be kinda like how Cory Redding was for us.
Its touchdown dance Inception. An NFL celebration, from a comedy skit celebration, about NFL celebrations.Lance Moore impressed me as a funny guy doing the Key & Peele Mckringleberry TD dance. Youtube that if you've never seen it.
Was my favorite dance of the season cause of the Key & Peels skit. Stills throwing the towel and then them actually getting flagged just topped it off.
Stevie Brown could be helpful at safety. Did a good job on the Giants last year and has decent ball skill. Dont think he would command a large contract either. Think he could do just as good a job as Clemons at a lower price.
I have a strange feeling about Portland...its like when Damian Lillard wants them to win...they win. He is becoming a very clutch player and although they don't have many flashy players around him they find ways to win as a team and have some decent coaching. Eager to see what they can do this year come playoff time.
The Rockets seemingly have the makings of a playoff contender too, good backcourt with Howard controlling things in the paint.
Its going to be another good year for NBA playoffs.
Im predicting a San Antonio Pacer finals with San Antonio taking the crown and Timmy going out on top.
It will be good in the west and unimportant til the conference finals in the east. I hate the Knicks ownership for making me hate basketball. Hoping Melo stays but dont know why he would.
The best way deal with this is accept that he's gone. We still have Pitta and a good amount of cap space. Can't win em all. If center is addressed, I will feel a lot more comfortable knowing at least the interior of the line is solid.
Yeah it was, but it happens every year. Its sort of funny.
It's like people dont even put in the effort to review the person though. I honestly think our line could get worse with Satele in the line up. I feel if Michael Oher was on another team and we didn't pay much attention to him, someone would be out there saying we should try to pick him up now.

Always thought the same and mad we never tried it. I felt it would help his false start problem and seems like he'd be a straight mauler. His frame just seemed better suited for it.
