  1. Auto correct butchered me. I think Flacco will be fine. There was a noticeable difference in his game as the season progressed. The center move isn't a big deal to me, but Wagner will be missed in pass pro. I really, really think that Perriman takes a huge step this year. He's shown he has the tools and I think the FO believes he'll elevate his game with a full off season. Also, a healthy Camp is pretty damn good in the slot, but as we all know...
  2. If this defense isn't top 3 I'll be sick. Finally a pure pass rusher and another CB for WHEN Jimmy goes down. Will still be able to keep Young in the slot too with the addition of Carr. Even if we didn't pick up a DE that was the position I was least worried about. We have a great young core on defense now and like the old teams, we now have leaders at each level from DL to S. Our approach to the offense seems to be just don't mess up. The OL needs milk. I don't want another TE. We have these young guys so let em battle it out. Don't know if you've seen the presser, but they said something along the lines of "what we like to do with first time OC's is draft defense." And to answer the question I'll say the defense can be 2011 good. Next year I'd fully expect them to compete with maybe an 08 defense. 06 will be hard to match. OT it's like the Steelers saw what we were doing and figured they'd counter with more weapons.
  3. The truth is even if we took someone in the 2nd who could only pass rush I'd still take em. Pass rush has been pathetic since 14. We need guys who will apply that pressure especially with the type of dba we've been adding. I expect a huge spike in sack numbers.
  4. 2 Alabama defenders in 1 draft is Ozzies wet dream come to life...
  5. Really wanted Williams, but I actually think Perelman takes off this season... if he can make it last TC healthy. Huge concerns about the OL. Would've loved Howard, but like you said, I think Marlin was the right choice.
  6. They scored 27 and I'm saying you're mad about them giving up a lead when the offense was ineffective as well the 2nd half. Neither side did well after the blackout. On topic, I'm loving this draft so far. Would like some lineman but have mo idea who's left. Same at wr and rb. What impact guys are left?
  7. Loving it so far. Hoping we make some moves for OL, but if this defense healthy can't close out games it will be a damn shame. Offense will go as the line does. What you think?
  8. That clutch offense scored all of 6 points the 2nd half while turning the ball over. Before this draft it was 2 firsts on offense and 2 on defense. Now 3 on def. That's insanse! Which side of the ball lost more at that time? Also, what positions were needed and what were the strong points of that draft? No problem with you, but I will not miss these discussions. You are just as strong willed(stubborn) as I am.
  9. Top 10 pick spent on OL and last 1st was on a wr. You can't say they don't try. As far as Pees, we won a SB his first year at DC. When his guys are there they are productive, regardless of how you feel about him.
  10. Don't assume Kizer is their future. They still have two firsts next year and plenty of time to tank if they like someone.
  11. Unlike other teams they are actually providing him with help. The Browns will be a good team in 3-4 years.
  12. And the same ones screaming draft offense are crying when Jimmy goes down and the defense gets no pressure while guys run wide open down field.
  13. Where you been?
  14. For reals? TRUU
  15. Remember when we had 2 14 points leads and still lost cause we were holding open tryouts for cb at flag football games? I do
  16. One hole. Zuttah doesn't count... Better coverage means holding the ball longer. Also, Jimmy didn't play that game.
  17. I think a lot people will say that he's not necessarily the BPA, but he's a necessity and he's a good player.
  18. I think he's going to be good and trust me, I said to my boy I think we're going Howard. I would've been fine with Howard or Foster, but what do you think has honestly cost us the most games late in the season? As bad as our OL was, they showed up late last year. I said they should've let both of them walk. With the change in rules, we need power on the OL and that's not Wagner's game. Would've loved to scoop Pryor, though for the cash we used on Williams. I won't say he's overrated.
  19. Wasn't Allen regarded as a top 3 pick before the draft? We were also praised I think for the Elam pick when it was made. None of this stuff matters until they're on the field. I like him cause he's physical, fast and has size. Great on short passes and screen as well. You know who loves to run screens? Pats and Steelers. Short routes? Pats. I think they knew what they had in mind when making the decision. Marlon, Tavon and Tony should give us a nice young core in secondary.
  20. I wanted Howard, but realistically, adding another TE wasn't necessary. All the WR were gone and it was too early to OL. CB was more important than DL and he's only 20. I also didn't want Allen. Yea. I said it. He hasn't really neglected the offense either. It may seem like it this off season, but was Wagner worth that money? No way Juice was staying. Still plenty of draft left and I highly doubt we don't scoop up any linemen. I don't think anyone saw the Wrs all going in the top 10 either. Also, everytime our first pick is a Alabama defender we make a deep playoff run. So there goes that.
  21. Who did you want at that spot?
  22. I just wanna ask why people say a physical CB isn't a "sexy" pick?
  23. Raiders got so damn lucky.
  24. People were going to find a way to complain regardless. I personally did not want any parts of Allen. This was weird because we had so many directions to go and honestly, none of them really would've been wrong. I'm happy we went corner and have no problem with Marlon.
  25. I would've bet money he was going to be our pick, even with the logjam at the position. Would love to get a rusher, but wouldn't be surprised if we go OL or ILB in the 2nd. Also, dont think Dalton has the arm to utilize Ross fully. People are going to say we did that cause of Ross but truth is, we needed another young guy and Bryant is coming back as well. I'm truly exciting to see this defense this season. We finally have the press man personnel everyone's been waiting for. I expect a top 5 sack total if we can actually stay healthy.
