It was more to make sure he's back to full strength with no lingering effects. Hips are a pretty big injury. They easily could've left the episode ending with him not finding the book, or him finding the tracker, but to end how it did, I'm telling everyone to "tread lightly" this week. Makes you think how deep this gets and I honestly have no idea how this will end. The writing and acting have been great, but Pinkman is starting to get annoying to me again.
