  1. As far as people saying Smith might say something to Joe, good. We need a player that will hold people accountable when they're playing like trash, which happened a lot last year. It was annoying cause NO ONE ever seemed to get fired up and try to spark the offense. I said that was one of the things I missed about Boldin. Would love to have Smith here. Great on the outside, in the slot and not afraid to get in a defenders face. Looking like it's going to happen too. The only thing that concerns me is that we might not bring in another guy through the draft early. We still need a young guy to groom for later and not some late round pick either.
  2. I know he's not a FA, but if Ozzie manages to pull off Mack, teams better beware. What was one a weakness would make our o line of the best in the league. I have to believe even Juan couldn't mess that up. With Kubiak and Dennison helping as well, our line would wear teams out physically and we would probably see one of our most successful offenses ever. Picking up Mack would also mean Ozzie can now get back to BPA instead of drafting by need. Would also mean, since so many holes have been filled, we could have the flexibility of trading up and not feeling obligated to stockpile picks. I know it's a long shot, but if it happens, the 8-8 season was worth it, if that's what it took for these moves to be made. Regardless, I'm still happy with what has happened so far.
  3. I'm happy we're getting some consistency. If we could pick up a centenary Smith I'm good til the draft.
  4. I'd take Mack over Monroe if the reports are true. Would love both if possible.
  5. I got you. Jeez. Tough crowd. I was about to make a revis thread just to mess with the mods but left it alone.
  6. With or without Jones, if McClain and Smith comeback, our front 7 is stacked.
  7. Damn. You beat me to it
  8. Image is nothing. Thirst is everything.
  9. I dont think people realize how good a motivated Dwight is. He didnt ask to go to the Lakers. He was sent there. He got to choose his destination and is back having fun playing ball again. That and he's healthy. Its crazy to me how to media portrayed him and now that he's balling, he gets no recognition.
  10. Ok. Hadn't heard anything about his price range.
  11. With our line up, I think he's Bette suited outside and Webb in the slot. Wouldn't mind, but everything comes down to what he would work with contractually.
  12. Lamar Houston could be a decent pick up as well, depending on the amount he wants.
  13. I'd like to make a move for Red Bryant. Think he could be useful on our d line. Not sure how much money he'd want. I feel he could be kinda like how Cory Redding was for us.
  14. Its touchdown dance Inception. An NFL celebration, from a comedy skit celebration, about NFL celebrations. Was my favorite dance of the season cause of the Key & Peels skit. Stills throwing the towel and then them actually getting flagged just topped it off.
  15. Stevie Brown could be helpful at safety. Did a good job on the Giants last year and has decent ball skill. Dont think he would command a large contract either. Think he could do just as good a job as Clemons at a lower price.
  16. It will be good in the west and unimportant til the conference finals in the east. I hate the Knicks ownership for making me hate basketball. Hoping Melo stays but dont know why he would.
  17. The best way deal with this is accept that he's gone. We still have Pitta and a good amount of cap space. Can't win em all. If center is addressed, I will feel a lot more comfortable knowing at least the interior of the line is solid.
  18. It's like people dont even put in the effort to review the person though. I honestly think our line could get worse with Satele in the line up. I feel if Michael Oher was on another team and we didn't pay much attention to him, someone would be out there saying we should try to pick him up now.
  19. The Colts o line wasn't that good and he was cut. No thanks. Would rather keep Gino and bring in someone else to compete. Maybe.... Alex Mack? I'm joking
  20. MODS, maybe a stupid suggestion, but why not make one of those patented cut/complain off season threads. With no actual football to watch the wolves are hungry to tear into someone. Can't blame Joe, unless you have video of him over throwing targets in Madden.
  21. Teams are racking up trophies against the Knicks. WHO THE HELL IS MIKE SCOTT? Whoever he is, he scored his career high against us, carrying on the tradition of bums getting career highs against our cotton candy "defense". With no draft picks, I can't even look forward to the draft.
  22. First, never said I would, I said think about it. It's not worth it cause we're now a down player that would need to be addressed through draft of FA and the amount it would take to do it. I'm opposed to it, this year at least. Also, I think McClain and Koch are potential casualties anyway, due to cutting them saves more money than it costs and a punter can be replaced quite easily. My only point was, the team is able to take the hit now and would possibly improve the cap for later years.
  23. But think of the savings down the line. If you think about it, if he's cut, McClain and Koch, doesn't that put us about right were the team thought they would be anyway cap space wise, before the cap was pushed back?
  24. With the money resign Monroe and try to sign Smith. If you sign Smith cut McClain. Depending on how much cap is left, franchise Pitta if at the TE rate. I personally feel cap space is more valuable than draft picks in certain situations, this is one. I'd draft a TE and move up from the 2nd to get a receiver. If a deal is worked out for Pitta, cool, if not try to trade him. My goal as a GM would be to reach fair contracts with players if I'm able while not over paying. If Monroe and Pitta both cost too much, accept it and move on.
  25. Isn't there suppose to big a jump in cap next season?
