We're kidding, right? Unless it's a situation where a Steeler win is to our benefit I always root against them.
"I don't know what negotiations we're talking about" - Linta
Hearing such an obviously flippant reply is definitely a concern. No, we're not currently in negotiations. Yes, Ozzie did say that they will look at whether they could put together a football team without having to renegotiate.
When the team gets together to discuss whether they can put together a winning football team without negotiations ... the answer is going to come back, NO. Ozzie spoke specifically about using Webb as an FS, so he's not going to be cut to save $. SSS is not retiring ... so where is this cap space coming from for us to do anything if we don't work with Joe's exorbitant cap hit? The increase in the league cap? Yeah, that's not going to be sufficient, as that is just going to escalate the salaries of those who we will need to sign to improve this team (and we do need to improve this team)
So, Mr. Linta, that's the negotiations this interviewer we're talking about.
What's Joe's agent supposed to do? Answer the question in such a way that it makes the fans happy?
I got it and those over exaggerations have been irritating for sure
Aye.
Who thought SSS would be even a better teammate than a player? This guy has figured it out.
Actually they're of the opinion of not caring who their QB is, they just want to get over the playoff hump and win a super bowl at this point.
You missed the point- it was just a little comment on some of our fans anointing Mallet as the second coming.
I wonder if there were Bengals fans posting that McCarron is better than Dalton after those first couple of drives?
Rodger's quick release, Joe's arm, Brady's pocket presence, Warner's accuracy, and a Manning-like command of the offense. Is that really what we saw last Sunday? Oy.
You do have a good point there. But, still, let's look at what Mallet showed us. 1 - ability to look off defensive backs 2 - judgment on where not to throw the ball 3 - a quick release resembling that of Aaron Rodgers 4 - zip on the ball resembling that of Joe F and finally 5 - most of the time pinpoint accuracy resembling I don't know who. If Mallet has a good game next week against the Bengals and Joe's recovery is delayed into next season I predict a QB controversy here in Ravens-land for the first time in many years. Go ahead and neg me. I like Joe too for many reasons beyond his cannon arm but Mallet did show me something this game.
I just can't figure out where he's been these past five or so years. Why hasn't someone tried to develop this talent?
I would guess Mallet's lack of development is more about him than coaching.
Absolutely right. Mallet was money but the game was won in the trenches.
Yes. There are some that troll every thread to try turn it into a Flacco thread. Same old regurgitated crap. lol
Aye. This thread has to have the highest percentage of rookie posters in quite some time...
Maybe Mallet can teach Joe a little something. Mallet looked a lot like Brady; body control wise.
Now that's funny!
Camp is a decent player, if he can/will ever stay healthy. But, to answer your question......it's because they drafted him. To not stick w/a drafted player, usually way too long....is basically admitting you made a bad move. Hence.....they miss out on better players, just to prove a point. There are lots of fans on here that liked Butler from day one, in addition to other players. The WR group we have playing now may be the best we've fielded all year.
So this is the theory- Butler's clearly better but they've stuck with Camp through the injuries because they don't want to admit missing on a seventh-round pick?
The culmination of several years of mediocre drafts and uninspired FA signings. Yes, there are exceptions, but I think that has to be the overall evaluation.
Twelve hosel adjustments... twelve.
Sorry, but I can't see any better than 2-3 for the rest of the year.
Some folks don't realize that there's a difference between a Hall of Famer and a franchise qb.
I will admit, I chuckled a bit but I've lightened up on Perriman honestly.
Ah, just a little tongue-in-cheek, and I hear ya regarding Perriman. Let's just hope he's catching rainbows from Joe come next year's opener...
Joe played more snaps with a torn ACLand MCL than Perriman, with a strained PCL, did all year.
Let's hope KO's a go. If not, given the Urschel-Donald matchup, look for another 40 pass attempts from Joe. And that's not always a good thing...
I'm waiting for the game where, after the fact, the league admits they screwed our opponent.
Microcosm of our season, but lost before the blown call
The season, perhaps, but not the game.
So since it was literally the last play with no time left, the NFL can correct the mistake and give the Ravens the win. Do it.
Aye. Since the play should have been called dead right there and then nothing after that matters- and the automatic ten-second runoff ends the game.
Wasn't it 26-18?
Blandino breaks out the whitewash.

Launching with the helmet ok if you're a Steeler. Also holding's allowed, as well as picking before the ball's in the air. Business as usual.
