purposely sabotaging the run game? now that is funny. thanks for the laugh
Yeah, I know. But I can't think for another reason why veteran QB like Flacco consistently fails to audible running plays so they won't run head first into defenders on the edges. Maybe he's not big friends with West and tries to hand out some punishment for him? What do u think?
Not well-blocked, maybe? Not a great scheme, perhaps?
I'll tell you what I'm tiring of watching- games in which receivers are running open, all over the field. And it ain't us.

Aye. Given our lousy short-down rushing performance, I've been yelling for the qb sneak almost every time we're 3rd or 4th and less than two yards...
Ah, KO's just getting his mind right for the game. That said, I hope BW & Co knock his you-know-what in the dirt.
Get pressure on Carr, and he'll make mistakes.
Those sideline shots of CB coaching up the big boys were some of my favorite game-watching moments. You knew the boys were paying attention! RIP Coach...

Instead of threading the needle or throwing into tight windows like he normally would he was findin ways to just throw the ball away or just take the sack if he had to. Now i dont want him to get too conservative... And I don't think he will be as the season progresses I see him taking more shots the more comfortable he gets in the pocket and what not. But yeah aside from the one play where him and Steve werent on the same page ( and the zuttah miscue which wasnt on joe) he made smart decisions all night. And that's with him seeing a decent amount of pressure against a Rex Ryan defense on his first game back from a major injury. Obviously I would've liked to see a few more scores- but for the most part I liked what I saw. He called the audible on the touchdown to Wallace and he also threw a dart to pitta on a key drive. The running game also wasn't doing jack so we kind of became one dimensional. Yet and still we found a way to win period. Let's see how they follow up against a weak browns team and if Trestman can dial up some magic.
Yup.

Our offense could have thrown deep more frequently week 1, but they chose not to. They seemed to be much more conservative the second half.
Well, I think Joe was simply not going to turn the ball over. Harbaugh alluded to it, given how the game was progressing, and the lack of almost any offensive output from the Bills.
The good? Wright, of course. I thought Weddle stabilized things back end, too. The bad? Those spots were unbelievable- the critical one on the last drive was only one of 4 or 5 bad ones. I mean, really awful.
I wonder if Correa was affected by the Pitta incident. Seems like he lost some of that swagger he displayed early on. I realize camp is tough for rookies, and those who burn the brightest early on can fade, but just thinking...
Not confident, sorry. Hope I'm proven wrong when the real games begin...
Hell, we'll take 4.2 per carry, anyday...
I think we'll have to put up at least 24 to win, and I don't know if we have the firepower, yet...
I actually thought Forsett was in danger until Dixon got hurt. The current lack of depth is what makes this move surprising, to me.
Why is Campanaro still on this team? he is always hurt
I thought he was injury waived. They may sign him back if he is healthy I thought...
He's been waived. For now, technically, he's not on the team. He's not taking up a roster spot. If he clears waivers, he can be put on IR.
I'd prefer to wait for Cordarrelle Patterson to be cut.
Younger, better receiver than Campanaro, and better return man than either Campanaro or Hester (at this point in his career).
Also Tate from Cinci is a possible free agent choice.
Well, better return man, for sure, but his productivity at receiver has taken a nosedive the last few years.
They need a go-to slot guy, given the TE situation. Perhaps Camp's limited PT in the preseason was by design (and, of course, he was nicked up, anyway).
Josh Johnson has been with what, five teams in seven years? He's played well this preseason but I don't see teams looking at him as a possible starter, and willing to offer commensurate value, in trade or draft picks.
Just because their colors have been CALLED black and yellow for years, doesn't mean tht's what they are. The Ravens are the only team in the NFL who actually have the color gold in their uniforms/logo. It's not inaccurate it's true
Source? Based on everything I'm reading, the actual color of the Steelers uniform includes the color gold, not the color yellow.
To me, it seems that fans just THINK that its yellow.
Regardless, it would seem to logically make more sense to refer to a team by their actual official colors, as they define them. Its certainly not up to the fans to define what color to call a team.
Goldenrod? That would explain my allergic reaction...

Can we equate "abomination" to being the worst, or one of two or three worst, qb's in the league? Or is hyperbole your specialty?
Well, providing "one last ride" for anybody would never be in Ozzie's equation- unless the guy can still contribute. I'll bet Joe wouldn't be unhappy yo see Boldin here, though.
couple observations... League made example of Ravens, if Pitta pans out with our TE group does Harbaugh make Watson an example. After the disrespect he got last year and the respect that Weddle is getting here I bet he is in heaven. Beginning to believe that Campanaro won't make this team due to ongoing, recurring injuries. Sapp is an idiot, doesn't matter if it is ladies of the night he tried to cheat out of money or dissing the respect a player gives him. Sapp is just an idiot. Ray Rice deserved another chance when morons like Hardy gets one and blow it. Monroe did not show, I admire what he's doing but he had all offseason to promote his cause. OTA's would have gone a long way to repair a damaged relationship. I hope the Ravens keep him til final cuts and give him a week to find another team. With his injury history and off field hobbies no one will be paying him top LT money now.
Make Watson "an example"? What do you mean?
Harbaugh's been a vocal critic of the rules limiting practice, and he can be a hammerhead, at times. Point is that I'm not sure the little voice on his shoulder said "screw it- we're doing it". Pretty dumb, if that's the case.
No way Stanley was picked at #6 to play guard. Hell, Conklin would've been more suited to play inside, I would think. Anyway, let's hope Jack doesn't fall to Pittsburgh.

Yes- anyone who has watched Joe over the years knows he slides quite well. The brace broke on the trailing leg (knee) and caught in the turf...
