  1. We've heard this all before.
  2. More beating of the "Jealous teams out to get the Patriots" drum. An intentional diversion, and the standard "it's a witchunt" defense. Helps to have a couple of "reporters" in your pocket to carry the message for you- and they do.
  3. I guess SalPal has no problem reporting theory as fact, as long as he thinks it's a good theory. Remember Jay Glazer's reporting that the Raven's tipped the Colts off? Not only did he dream that up, he even created a reason why (the Ravens unhappiness with Brady's "study the rule book" comment). Turned out to be untrue, of course. When will they be retracting their stories? Don't hold your breath...
  4. My favorite Joe clutch throw.
  5. He's under contract so he's gonna get paid, anyway. Would you like him to donate the money to the "Let's get Better Player's Fund"? Do you know how much money is in the fund right now, due to the charitable instincts of other players? Zero.
  6. You think Harbaugh would consider Aiken more important to the team that Tucker is? Not likely...
  7. Interesting. Joe, who can throw it 65 yards in the air, often underthrew TS on deep routes. A calculated move?
  8. The entire body of work isn't false advertising.
  9. Well, okay. How about the 2014 season's third-lowest yards per carry average? We're pretty stout against the run, no matter how you slice it.
  10. Seems to me that Juice runs high and not always square, and that leaves him susceptible to the taking helmet and shoulder pad hits right on the ball.
  11. I think Kubiak stays if the Denver job didn't open up.
  12. An attempt to spin.
  13. Does Waller sound like a squared-away kid, or what? I'm excited to see what he can do.
  14. Well, sure- and I bet Goodell remembered it, too, when it came time to set the punishments...
  15. I'm aware of who's boss- that's not the point. I'm sure Roger was okay with playing the good soldier but still wanted to play commissioner, at least for public consumption, and Bob wasn't letting him have his moment. After all, Goodell must still think he has a reputation to preserve...
  16. By being less than cooperative Kraft&Co may have po'd the one guy they shouldn't have...
  17. And there's no doubt that it happened!
  18. Not surprising. The Boston media (print, radio, and online) turn Whitey Bulger and relentlessly attack all who question the actions of their beloved Pats.
  19. That sounds about right.
  20. I don't mind a rolling the dice a bit at #26.
  21. There are two things about Elam that I'm not sure experience, coaching, or practice can change- poor tackling, and getting lost in space. And that makes me less than optimistic about his future...
  22. Oh, I don't know if he's a "master of the rules"- I just think he just has the stones to bend them almost to the breaking point (and perhaps beyond) fair play, sportsmanship, and his own reputation be damned.
  23. Those plays only work is if there's not enough time for the defense to identify, with certainty, who's eligible and who's not, and the Pats knew that, of course. That's the intent behind the play, the way the play is executed, the timing of the substitutions, and the timing of the declaration to the refs, and the timing of the PA announcement. Doesn't that constitute the kind of deception spelled out as a violation of the rules?
  24. The predictable whining of Beantown boneheads, who can be counted on to freak out whenever the Pat's tactics are questioned. You know, I'd wager that Belichick& Co aren't the only ones who thought of this bit of trickery- just the only team to use it.
