Couldn't run the ball worth a damn, either, although that didn't stop Trestman from calling a run play every time or first down- or at least it seemed like it. I was hoping we'd see the kind of playcalling Kubiak employed in the playoff game vs the Steelers last year- inventive and ballsy. Instead we got Caldwell, circa 2013.

I guess we figured we'd only pass on obvious passing downs, or, maybe, Trestman wanted to prove he wasn't just a pass-happy OC. I know execution usually trumps scheme but, man, the playcalling was disappointing...

I don't disagree. I was just replying to the "what's Brady's endgame" question.

I think that, for Brady, it's beyond the suspension- it's about his reputation, and the only way to recover any of it is with a win in court.

Oh, I think there's plenty of risk by going to court. It's one thing to be perceived as a liar, it's quite another to have it "proven". I doubt Team Brady will make the decision to go to court without deliberating the matter very seriously.
