  1. The scenario I don't want to see is Ramsey, Tunsil, and Buckner all gone before we pick.
  2. I find the Lynch visit an interesting one. I have no idea, but I'd reckon the staff is way to busy this time of year to set up a visit just for a smokescreen. If we really want Lynch, it would have to be with our second pick (I think he'll be gone by then), and we sure have more pressing needs than another qb. Interesting...
  3. Well, these are nice stories, but the fact remains that Oz & Co need to do a lot better than they have in recent years. They've got the picks, and the draft position, so let's get it done.
  4. How so? Is it your point that Joe will forego what's best for the team, in order to try and help out a buddy? What do you base that conclusion on?
  5. Maybe it's just those sub-par drafts that make Pitta (at a heavily discounted price) a necessary risk in the eyes of Ozzie & Co...
  6. Whitner stinks. A missed tackle and blown coverage machine. The Browns desperately need players, so why'd they say goodbye?
  7. Awful news. Prayers for his family, and condolences to all who knew him.
  8. Terrible news. Thoughts and prayers...
  9. If (a big if) Buckner and Jack are still available at #6 that would be an awfully tough call, IMO. I think Buckner could make our DL beastly.
  10. I can see not being thrilled (I'm okay with it, not jumping up and down) with the signing, based on concerns about what Weddle may or may not have left. But to think that we'll miss Lewis, or gave up too early on Elam? C'mon...
  11. The focus of the reporting about Joe's restructured contract is that he is, once again, the highest paid player when you break it down in a certain way. Contrast that with the reporting of Brady's new extension, where the narrative is Tom the Ultimate Team Player takes a pay cut. Oy...
  12. Well, maybe. I'd guess they considered both, but not equally.
  13. I disagree. I happen to like the signing- Watson's a quality TE. But let's no fool ourselves that his productivity isn't the reason we signed him. And that's as it should be...
  14. Terrell Pryor come to mind?
  15. Well, c'mon- Watson's community work has absolutely nothing to do with Ozzie's decision. "Character", generally, is only a major consideration when it's seen as a potential problem...
  16. Security blanket signing similar to the Daniels deal. Sounds a little pricey but with Joe coming off knee surgery, and so much uncertainty in the receiving corps I don't see how it could have been avoided.
  17. I like Lawson a lot, too, but I'm not sure he's worth a #6, and I don't see us trading down this time- unless Ozzie's board get wiped out by the 1-5 picks.
  18. Could be resigned.
  19. All of this is assuming the Titans don't trade the #1 pick. Is there somebody out there willing to trade up to get ahead of Cleveland at #2 to take Goff or Lynch?
  20. I think Tunsil being around at #6 is a pipe dream. I like Jack a lot maybe he's around if we trade down. I know it's not a popular opinion but I like Lawson, too. Not at #6, of course, but later.
  21. I think his shot on Cribbs was one of the dirtiest I've ever seen. Cribbs was already being tackled and on his way down. The camera angle clearly shows Harrison lining up that helmet shot right to Cribbs' jaw. No flag, of course.
  22. Looks like an excellent hire by the Browns.
  23. He sure did. Should be there if we trade down a few spots for extra picks- if there isn't anyone the brass doesn't absolutely love at #6.
  24. I thought you didn't want this thread to be about the officiating.
