  1. This dude has been everything they hoped he would be, and more.
  2. It's do or die now, folks. Merry Christmas to all, and go Ravens!
  3. Bills a no show, and a couple of terrible calls by the zebras. Looks like the Fins are in, so no hope for us except win out....
  4. Who thinks Green won't make a miraculous recovery? Not me...
  5. Well, maybe, but we're talking about a guy who has five sacks this year. He is a concern, but he ain't JJ Watt, or Von Miller...
  6. Biggest match up of the game, IMO. If Joe has time to throw, we can win this game...
  7. Weddle has had a few bad moments but look at the stats- at or near the top in tackles, pass break ups, and picks. 10th in the league in team pass defense, despite having a mediocre pass rush, a "rookie" at the other safety spot, a true rookie at one corner, and Jimmy in and out of the lineup. We're also hard to run on, so teams have come out slinging. Eric Berry is certainly the #1, but there's a strong case for Weddle at #2. Doesn't anybody remember last season's pass defense? Not that I like to remember it...
  8. Well, I'm not sure how many three time Pro Bowlers have "always been overrated".
  9. Oh, I think we'll see Green this weekend. Just like I was certain Andrew Luck would be ruled out when the Colts played them. Seems to work that way, when it comes to those Steelers.
  10. Well, he was between a rock, and a hard place- not an easy play. I also think Weddle got hurt earlier in the game, and Wentz is 6'5" 240...
  11. He wasn't taking up a roster spot until last week, and then he took Hester's spot after Devin was released. How is that a "waste of a team slot"? Sorry, that doesn't make any sense.
  12. Well, of course that what you were saying. That aside, he blew the read, and didn't see the coverage- isn't that bad, enough? Now his character gets called into question? I think Joe thought he'd throw a touchdown pass, on that play. He puts his head down, and doesn't say much, but you know he believes in himself, at all times. As long as he believes in the play call, and likes what he sees pre-snap, he's always going to throw the ball. That's who he is, good, or bad.
  13. Designed to draw a flag, IMO.
  14. Is that what they said? Didn't read anything like that. Did I miss something?
  15. You can cut Joe, whenever you want to. There are cap considerations, of course, but this ain't MLB. Are you saying that you'd pull the trigger, right now?
  16. A bad idea, obviously, and the execution was even worse, but I wouldn't go so far as to say Joe only care about stats, and not winning- if that's what you're implying. At times, he has a goofy way of expressing himself, and I think that's all it was. I'm more worried that, for the last two games, teams are flooding the middle of the field, and Joe isn't figuring it out.
  17. Smith has said in the past, without being asked about it, that he prefers "calm", and that he loves playing with a qb with Joe's demeanor. He referenced a play in his first game here, where he dropped a pass, and came back to the huddle expecting to get chewed out, and Flacco simply called the next play. He also mentioned a time in his first training camp where he was yelling at Joe for not getting the ball, and Flacco simply responded, "get your depth." He raved about Flacco's leadership style and calm confidence, and again, he wasn't asked about it. He completely brought that up on his own. Sometimes an emotional outburst is just that - an emotional outburst. It doesn't mean Steve Smith has any issues with Flacco. Agreed.
  18. Pressure up the middle, and the first tackler can't miss on those dink and dunk passes Brady loves to throw. Stay with that quick rhythm on offense. Let's hope the zebras don't hurt us too bad...
  19. Funny that, last week, our passing attack looked a lot like the Patriot's. Lot's of moving parts in this matchup, of course, but Joe has to out-Brady next Monday night.
  20. Nothing like a back-handed compliment,
  21. How 'bout this- stop handing the ball off six yards behind the line of scrimmage when it's second and short yardage- most of the time we end up with third and five! Drives me crazy.
  22. Well, when they don't show the penalty on replay, you can be sure it was baloney. I had to rewind to see the hold, and, like you said, the tackle was already off balance- Zuttah just gave him a shove, and there was no hold, at all. Kind of hard to hold, then release, and run downfield, right? Just one of a number of bad calls. Not that it's unexpected, in a big game like this...
  23. Don't assume you know what I meant- I only said this was for Joe's ears, as well. I didn't say Ray was right, and I didn't say it was something Joe needed to hear. Frankly, I don't much care what Ray, four years after his last game, has to say,at this point in time...
  24. We need a statement game from our offense.
