    lol..

May be he should hug the jug machine instead of a yacht in Miami?

The Giants should blow out the Greenbay if their offense could score cuz they dominated defensively in the first half.  The hail mary surely changed the momentum of the game.....

he is average at best he got flacco hurried on numerous occasions he is no Ogden he is a consistent Oher and we all know how that turned out he is solid but I wish we would have gotten hargraves CB at 6 but I don't see stanley being a franchise LT hope we finally draft a good CB this year with 1st round pick

Glad Ozzie make the picks and not you!

so your happy with the bums that he picks I'm not can't wait for ozzie to be fired

Most of us are pretty happy with the guys Ozzie picks. We've had some great seasons. And really good guys... I mean afterall, Ozzie did pick Ogden, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, among many others like Chris McAlister, and got guys like Shannon Sharpe, Derrick Mason, Todd Heap... and the list goes on and on.... SMH... I'm just amazed at how people live their lives completely ticked off about everything and everybody now a days.

Mason drafted by the Titans...Ozzie traded for him...

I understand that conversations morph, but this has gone WAY off-track.  May I suggest a "Draft Strategy" discussion in the Draft forum and taking the current debate there?

    Thank you.

I blame the hot seat that drives ppl frenzy....

If you think Harbaugh is on the hot seat or on more of a hot seat because he's keeping Marty then I personally disagree. Does anyone think that Harbaugh would be absolved of another losing or .500 season if he fired Marty? I doubt it. I think Harbaugh chose what he knows over what he doesn't. Who could he bring in who's clearly better than Marty? I mean clearly better not just potentially better.

clearly and 100% upgrade would be Kubiak...

McCoy or Wishenhunt is about 70% better than Marty....

What we have seen from Marty is just a sample and not really 100% from his own playbook yet; however, his playcallings were mind-bogging; even if he brings in his own playbook, would he call anything differently? I doubt it..

He has the same system like Kubiak does, but that doesn't mean he would utilize better.

I do agree that John rolls with something he knows......he knows Marty better personally than other available coordinators....He took a gamble with it and we fans will suffer the consequences...

  5. Harbs said marty isn't the problem; it's the o-line, QB, and WRs.  Then, how Kubiak takes bunch of street WR and RB to top 10 offense?

Harbs even said he needs more playmakers on the offensive side of the ball, which is true, but that won't solve any of the horrific playcallings...

I don't know what Harbs sees that us fans don't see?

    This is hilarious.

So you keep Marty, fine, but the fact that you didn't tolerate other candidates and hold interviews just baffles me. Not to mention that Harbaugh was "pleased" with the improvement the offense made in the final stretch? LOL wuht? What was impressive about games vs New England or Philadelphia? I would love to ask him what the hell happened in that awful, disgraceful performance vs Cincinnati.

Seriously, this could be something that gets him fired next season. If that's the case, my hope is that Sean Payton just holds out for another year in New Orleans and we could bring him here.

Him is the only HC I want if we need a HC change........

I said it in the other thread but if we're sticking with Marty then build the offense to pass the ball and air it out all day and use the pass to set up the run. Get rid of Zuttah or make him a backup by signing Tretter or drafting a center high and instill more weapons at WR.

I'm probably in a minority but I'm glad Pees is sticking around. I think his defense could be great if we actually gave him a good young pass rusher and another quality CB across from Jimmy for once. I like Young but I'd rather have Jones and Smith outside and Young inside. Regardless we need more talent back there. The defense wasn't bad it just got exposed for its old pass rushers

    and injured Jimmy......

I totally agree Pees can take this defense to the top if we draft him young pass rusher and a real back up to Jimmy....

However, we need to look for a real safety when Weddle's contract is up....

Well, in their defense, that's not necessarily true.

We know Dean Pees can lead a defense that can win a SB and make the playoffs, so its not as if we won't win until we fire him, because we've won plenty with him.

And in a round about good way, fans have also now learned that firing your OC in the offseason or even midseason doesn't guarantee that you will start winning again either. Fans used the "fire the OC and we will start doing well again" crutch for too long after we fired Cam Cameron, and now that crutch is permanently broken and can't be used anymore.

So while I wouldn't have retained Marty, its certainly not a death blow to our 2017 outlook. As usual, the personnel on the field matters a whole lot more than the coaches on the sidelines, and they are always the one's who dictate the success or failure of a team.

    Pees Smith Defense

Get him another shutdown CB to replace Jimmy, we will see top 5 defense from him....

Things went downhill fast like I expected when Kubiak left for Denver .

We need someone of Kubiak's ability as OC and I don't see it with Marty .

Pees is a good DC until the 4th quarter where we have lost more games with leads than at any time in Ravens history . He is not the answer either .

No playoffs next year and John , Marty and Dean will all be gone , guaranteed

what makes u think it is guaranteed? lol

Even we miss playoff next year, John is safe, but Marty will be gone; Dean may be forced to retire...

However, John's seat will be very very warm....

I do not understand how Marty is the entire issue with the offense. He did not make Joe throw the int's in the end zone and am thinking influences from Harbaugh have helped to abandon the run game. You have to admit that Harb's play calling has been very suspect and cost us games. I think if left to call the game without others 2 cents being added in he will be ok. Just needs to be able to trust Joe's decision making which is taking a big leap in faith as Joe has proven to be less than the sharpest tool in the shed.

If a ST coach calling plays, we are doomed......

  11. I don't think Marty is solving any of current offensive problems...

Kubiak was successful here in B-more cuz he brought with him a QB coach; Joe doesn't have one and it looks like he's losing his mechanics at some points of the season.

If we roll with Marty without a legitimate QB coach, 2017 is another disappointment season......

The saddest part here is we didn't have anyone else good enough to spell\replace Suggs\Doom or at least no anyone the staff trusted. So basically both our top pass rushers played most of the year with injuries. No wonder it sucked.

Suggs is superstar, game-changer, and playmaker, so it's hard to replace it like Reed and Ray.  We just need to draft better and some luck with it.

I have always been a big fan of Harbaugh but the Patriots game was a big eye opener in terms of how poorly coached this team is. It reminded me of those intramural sports games I used to play, where you eventually run into that one team that takes the sport seriously. The one that has a gameplan and looks like they care a whole lot more. The Harbaugh Ravens, since Ed and Ray left, have looked like a team with no ideas just hoping to hang on. The offense has been reactionary - never proactive. As if the gameplan is to work around whatever successful gameplan the opposing defense has. Nothing they do presents a challenge for defenses. Outside of Kubiak, they don't even have a strength that could be called an "identity", let alone a gameplan ahead of the curve.

The defense is the king of unnecessary roughness, like it's a complete enigma how to play the game within the rules. There are botched coverages constantly. They look utterly lost when the other team picks up the tempo or finds something that works. And for some reason, their goal each game is to let the other team score just as time runs out. It's pretty much a given that any lead will evaporate in the 4th quarter, and the game will come down to a redzone stop or a big L in the standings. Every week I wonder what they could possibly be thinking, giving up the easy 1st down into Ravens territory to prevent the difficult touchdown throw, and - if required - subsequent meager 30 yard offensive drive for a field goal to win the game.

Every week Harbaugh talks about tough-fought games being a staple of "Ravens football". Why is the mantra of this team to be satisfied with being taken to the ropes every game? Why can't they close the door on inferior teams anymore? I'm just tired of this "We'll find a way" attitude. Whoever is going to coach this team needs ideas, not hope.

I was wondering the same thing; we always play down to the competition and seem always to try to dig out deep hole.  We just don't have good coaching staffs to put this team in position to win.

Harb is safe this year and he needs to put together a better coaching staff cuz if next year with same result, his seat will be very warm....

I dislike the pure BPA stance as well, but I think the bigger problem is hoarding picks and being unwilling to move early for a guy we want. We hear it every year - DeAndre Hopkins, Marcus Peters, etc. All are guys we wanted but we didn't want to move up, and thus, settled for whatever fell.

yeah, I got stomach reflux thinking about it....I agree at some point, we need to sacrifice some picks to get a true playmaker which is worth more than 1 good and avg player or even 2 good player....that's a game changer player.....
