  1. Mike Freeman makes a good point, though it's hilarious on Twitter how people bring up Br*dy's suspension and are saying how he got 4 games and McDonald has never been punished, etc.

This is Ray McDonald's fifth arrest on charges of violence against women. Fifth. One more time: fifth. Again, how still in the league?

This guy is a loser.... No doubt, and should have been punished way before now.

And as far as Br*dy???  He cheated at the game...  there is a little difference here.

It cracks me up hysterically every time I see asterisk on Br*dy name....lmao....

  2. If you play or know anything about sport, you can't expect a PS or T4 backup player to produce like a starter; it's like putting me to play in Div 1 college sport. Melvin has been doing great and well surpassing expectation. His first NFL start against HOF Brady isn't pretty but the Pats have to pull all the tricks out of their ends to beat our beat up, handicapped secondary. Sky is limit for Melvin; I'm excited how he transform to a starter corner. Go get them! Melvin.....

  3. Honestly, since the attention is on T*m Br*dy, I'm surprised they aren't letting him just be the fall guy. After all, they did draft Jimmy Garoppolo in the 2nd-round, last year, meaning they are in a position to just move-on. Br*dy doesn't have much, left; so, I mean, I could easily see them cutting him, pretend that the franchise had nothing to do with this and just move-on with Garoppolo.

But, thankfully, I am not Robert Kraft...

lol, your plan is like a big exit door; the Pats offense can pretty much make any QB looked good.  I hope they just continue to fight until the league are so tired of this crap, they will investigate deeply and nail the Pats hard.....

  4. I was laughing all long from beginning to end of his retired announcement.  I love legendary Ed Reed.....

Reminiscently, I'm glad he had his SB ring otherwise his legendary story isn't perfect as written.....

Ed Reed's career highlights are giving me goosebumps like madness...thank you Ravens webmasters to put an awesome video....

  5. I have posted elsewhere this fact that was brought up this morning.  And I wanted to post it here. I find it part of a very telling situation.....

In 2006 Tom Brady approached the NFL about using balls provided by the home team at their away games.  He lobbied that he believed that "away teams" should be permitted to bring their own balls to away games.  The NFL concurred.  SO, imagine if it's been going on this long.

interesting that they've been doing that all those years and never got caught until now.....I think it is a very big issue.....

  6. happy for him but sad for the football culture cuz we lost the best ever safety in the game and we aren't seeing another one in a very long time. Ed's instinct on the field is just beyond imagination. I wish him the best for his post retirement and hopefully he came back to coach on our secondary.......

  7. Solid/competent are the equivalents of great? If your assessment off the tape is that he's a terrible blocker, then I question your competency and ability to break down tape. "Every NFL analyst," what an interesting choice of words.

NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah stated that Williams was Todd Heap with better blocking ability when coming out of college. NFL.com's Charles Davis stated that Williams was Desmond Clark with better blocking ability. NFL.com's Curtis Conway commended Williams on his blocking. CBS Sports' Dane Brugler compared him to Jason Witten stating that he has the, "NFL pedigree and projects as a mismatch nightmare with the versatile traits to be equally effective as a pass-catcher and blocker." ESPN's Todd McShay states that, "He’s got the size -- 6-4, 250-ish -- averaged 16 yards a catch, good hands, adequate blocker, can improve in that area." Minnesota Vikings' GM Rick Spielman praised Williams for his improvement in blocking. ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. stated that, "what impresses you about Maxx Williams is that he can be an in-line blocker, an in-line Tight End." NFL.com's Bucky Brooks states that Williams, "is a complete Tight End. He's a guy that blocks on the edge. He's gritty, he's tough, he'll battle you from snap to whistle." Greg Cosell compared Williams to Jason Witten stating that he has, "a complete skill-set to build around as a prospect." I wonder if those assessments are closer to terrible or closer to competent.

Throughout my entire process of scouting Williams, I came across a single article that labeled him solely as an F-TE because of his blocking and it came from BleacherReport. Common sense would indicate that the members in the aforementioned list prior to the last writer qualify as NFL analysts. Let's make matters a little easier and reverse the process. Which reputable NFL analysts labeled Williams as a terrible blocker? Please fill me in. I'll add on to Inqui's post with the following link (Begin at 3:38). I'll also return from work after some time after 5 PM and I'll be more than happy to break down some of his tape if needed be.

great post and reply with solid facts and links.......Someone got owned.....
