I don't think he's underachieved, so much has been expected of him but he's played in a dreadful offense.

Everyone is talking up Pierre Garcon but let's comparing him side by side to Britt, I don't think he's been all that much better.

    Pierre Garcon

G GS Rec Yds Avg Lng TD Att Yds Avg Lng TD

    2016 Washington Redskins 16 16 79 1,041 13.2 70T 3TD

    2014 Washington Redskins 16 14 68 752 11.1 70T 3TD

    Kenny Britt

G GS RecYds Avg LngTD AttYds AvgLng TD FUM Lost

    2016 Los Angeles Rams 15 15 68 1,002 14.7 66 5TDs

    2015 St. Louis Rams 1614 36 681 18.9 60T 3TDs

    2014 St. Louis Rams 16 13 48 748 15.6 63T 3TDs

Like I said before, Garcon played in an offense that was up there with some of the passing offenses in the league and ranked 2nd in the league and 3rd overall offensively. Comparitevly Britt played in an offense that ranked as the 31st ranked passing attack and 32nd ranked offense as a hole. I'll also keep in mind that Kirk Cousins is light years better than anyone the Rams have. I like Garcon, but it's like if Julian Edelman were to come here from New England, that's nice but is he going to be better here than what he was with New England? I could certainly say that in our case, we would get a much better Kenny Britt from LA coming here and that's taking into account his impressive season.

I love ppl proving their points with facts and evidences...good point though....

I don't think his hands are the biggest concern for me. Plenty of great receivers like Mike Evans, Brandon Marshall, and Demaryius Thomas have hands problems of their own and that hasn't stop them from being great at what they do. I think hands are a thing he has to improve on but its not whats going to restrict him from being great.

Ball machine will fix the hands' problem for sure, but it's mental part of the game which really lingers his progress.  If he can get over that hump, he can be great....

BINGO! This was all about Kyle Shanahan's ego. Like father like son!

I have said I don't blame the loss on Matt Ryan and I'm sticking to my guns on that point. It is amusing though to read so many posts by the Flacco haters and critics who would have blamed Joe for not calling an audible if he didn't like the play call(s). I can't count the number of times some of our loyal fanbase bashed Joe for not calling an audible in similar situations this year but he wasn't given a pass like they gave Matman in this thread. If I remember correctly, the complaint several of Joe's most ardent critics used was ---- a veteran, Franchise QB should be able to veto the OC's play call if he thinks its not going to work. Didn't MattVP come into the NFL the same year as Joe? So, I guess he should have audibled out of the pass plays that were called and run the ball since he's a veteran, Franchise QB. Gimme a break! OR at least be consistent with your critique of Joe's on the field decision-making. In the real world, calling audibles doesn't work like your Madden football computer game. There's a word called insubordination. This story was all about a young OC who wanted to put his foot on the throat of the Patriots instead of just beating them so as to make a bigger name for himself before he departed to run the WCO in SF.

I would love to hear what all the Flacco critics would be sayin 'bout the collapse if Joe had been at the helm instead of the Ice Man. I got news for them. The Ice Man is right here in Ballmer and his name is Joe Flacco. Joe's a Super Bowl MVP; Matt is a league MVP. I'll take the former anyday, all day!

If you re watch the SB2013, when we were down by 2pts and we badly needed a first down to keep the momentum and get a FG a least; it was 3rd and 2 and it's a run call..  Joe audibled out and called a back shoulder pass to Boldin to right side when he was one on one.  He made the throw and the rest was history....

  4. In hindsight, it is a very bad idea to take Ryan; however, Ryan was top pick in 2008 and I don't blame the Ravens went hard on him that time.  We didn't know Joe turns out to be a playoff machine and season mediocre and Ryan went the opposite way.

Ryan has been choking all his career and SB performance is no difference....

Joe is playing well under pressure but atrocious when there is no urgency....

We should have a much better O-line this year and we will do well offensively in September.....

What a way to end the season on a low note for the ratings. Struggling with ratings most of the year, the NFL's biggest game of the year saw a decline over last year's game. Super Bowl 51 had an overnight rating of 48.8, down slightly from Super Bowl 50's rating of 49.0. It also was a decline from the Patriots win over Seattle in Super Bowl 49 which drew a 49.7 rating. So a three year decline in the Super Bowl ratings currently.

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/02/06/overnight-ratings-for-super-bowl-li-down-slightly/

if the Falcons didn't choke in the second half, the rating should top 49.7; most fans turned off the TV when Matty Ice took the sack and lost the most important FG attempt....

The Falcons blowing a 25 point lead isn't Ryan's fault..... But

    Rings:

    Flacco:1

    Ryan:0

Matt Ryan's Number is 2, Joe Flacco's number is 5. If you put two and five next to each other the number 25 is created. Joe Flacco has 1 super bowl ring. 25*1 is STILL 25....

The Falcons blew a 25 point lead. Never forget.

    lol....good one...

    Hence the ":P"

Ryan had a much better season, but Flacco still has a ring and he doesn't. And to be frank, the "Falcons blew a 25 point lead" jokes are going to be awesome

I never once thought the game was over when the Falcons lead by 3 TDs; I had a feeling it's a setup for the Pats to make the first team to ever come back and win with 3TD deficit in SB history...

  8. I hardly watch any of the NFL shows on NFL network or ESPN; with Smith Smith Sr on the show, I might watch couple takes to feel him out.  If Steve can bring the fires, feisty, and energy that he had on the football field and convert them onto the NFL show, it will be most excited NFL show to watch for long time.

Steve don't BS, he will keep it real.....

They used to have small TVs above the urinals at the Verizon Center, but got rid of them because the lines weren't moving.

lol yeah especially, on first and goal and we have to go for it on 4th down; it's like another 15min with short timeout.  That would hold the line out of the entrance....

Shame they aren't upgrading the coaching staff. A shiny stadium doesn't make a winning team.

Well Steve believes in Harbs leading the team in 2017, so our fans should respect that...

So you want our owner acting like SD and Rams owners who refused to upgrade their stadium and ended up going to their neighbor and sharing their backyard?

You want our PLS owners and fans who are paying tickets to the game sitting in old stadium without perks and conveniences? when other team continue to upgrade their stadium to accommodate fans' interests?

PS: don't take things for granted.....look around the league and see how lucky we are to have Steve as an own who cares about the Ravens nation and the fans....

Only the Browns would be stupid enough to fall for a Patriot system QB. Reports say the Browns may trade for Jimmy Garoppolo in the offseason.

    http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/354072/report-cle-will-try-to-trade-for-garoppolo?ls=roto:NE:topheadlines

so the Browns are continuously giving away tops picks to NE in return with average players, and in the meanwhile the NE keep rebuilding their competitive team year in and year out.  Thanks to the Browns or some kind of conspiracy theory going on.....

They just hired him last year....

JJ Watt and DeAndre Hopkins for 6th and 7th Round picks. I mean their GM is dumb enough to give Osweiler $72M so we could fool him easily to thinking it's a great trade. :P

wouldn't be surprised if this ever happens.....
