This wouldn't change my draft strategy at all. Carr should be a solid bridge but I highly doubt we're signing him thinking we've solved the CB issues. Needs to be Carr in addition to a draft pick.

I don't think Ozzie ever changes his draft strategy as taking the best player on board.....

  2. haters like Virginia55 refused to comprehend facts; reality question is who will replace Joe if we cut him? Matty Choker? Playoff-less Dalton? unaccomplished Romo? or better yet, one of a kind, Brock Osweiler? and I heard he's up for 50% discount from Cleveland.

Haters just blatantly want to see someone they hate getting cut and are clueless on the consequences.....like dropping your established franchised QB so we can continue to search 10yr for another franchise QB or paying someone old washed up QB or unproved rookie QB with bunch of money to keep the whole team backed up for another 10yrs; it sounds like an epic plan that the Cleveland Browns have been scripting.....

People are telling me to put down my purple shades to see the truth, but even I can see the truth through my purple shades and why can't those with non purple shades see the real situation?

  3. I appreciate directors of the Ravens website or whoever higher in FO let the board stayed on after the draft; again, if you can hear us, please reconsider closing the board cuz I literally have no place to talk about football and learn about football.  Some of these guys on this board are for me, considered as experts.  If you need money donated to keep the board going, I will do it, as many of us I believe will chip in as well.....

    PLEASE RECONSIDER!

Just at least think about it once more time before closing the board down......

    thank you

So I get my little Ravens news alert on my phone ... all excited like ... we're we able to sign Williams? Finalized the deal for Jefferson? Found some help for a mediocre o line that's been further depleted?

Nope - this is what we get instead.

    lmao....

  5. Quality >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Quantity....It applies in every aspect of life....Would you trade Mosley for bunch of undrafted rookies?

I would take 10 guys in this message board community over 100k trolls on FB or twitter or any social platform....

For monetary reason, I don't think there's a big jump, but slightly jump instead.

For expanding pool of fans, I don't think there's any improvement; may be some bandwagon fans.

If the Ravens organization want to expand their fan base, wouldn't it be better to have both message board and FB?

PS: I think whoever made this decision isn't thinking about fans' feelings and the money they saved is not going to replace the heart and soul of this community...

If this goes through, how can you not be excited? Just watched some videos on the guy. The highlights are impressive - as they should be - but more interesting is his passion for the game and leadership role on that defense.

Now, keep him of ST (where he hurt his MCL last season) and we'll be rolling!

Only sad part is that this probably means a Webb cut.

we can ask him to play CB position with slight salary cap adjustment...

Danny Woodhead signing makes me miss the Ray Rice days aka the days when we were every year playoff contenders where he was our workhorse back, got majority of the snaps and did everything at a high level. It's not easy finding those type of players but it seems like we have invested a couple draft picks in back to back drafts as well as free agent signings  and are operating a highly inefficient split back running game.

I'm very familiar with Danny Woodhead and like him, he is a Swiss army knife of a weapon, however I dont like the idea of having multiple RBs for multiple tasks, it takes away from your starter (who I guess will be Kenneth Dixon going into 2017) getting much needed time to get into a groove and find consistency.

it's more like a backup reason like the word "injuries" happen to be around....

I'm just stoked right now especially after a total bummer of a day! I still can't get over the forum closing folks. I now know how a death row inmate feels when he knows he's being executed on the 31st of March! lol

lord, don't remind me that date....I just pretend it's April fools or I'll just have amnesia.....whatever it is, how am I going to survive without discussing and arguing all the new inquiries after March 31st?

NFL.com lists us at #1 on their list of potential landing spots.

Obviously with how new the news is, nothing on their list was really based on sourced material... more or less pointed speculation, but we do tick "all the boxes" according to what Marshall said he's looking for, and Marshall ticks most of if not all the boxes we typically look for at WR.

I'm gonna go ahead and place a 65% chance on this happening. Not certain, but I think there's a better chance we sign him than we don't.

John and Marshall have good relationship so I think we have higher chance to bring him in....

Marshall is the better pick among FA due to finances and team needs...

  10. We have lots of very good players but we don't have the great one who can pretty much change the game or just flip the switch when he needs to...

We really need just one great on the team and the rest can be good for complimentary.....but I don't want to trade the whole farm for 1 player other the QB position.....

don't wanna drive too far off topic here but I disagree that we are on par or equal footing to other teams in terms of winning to a certain extent. I think the Ravens are on par with teams like the Steelers, Bengals, Raiders, Chiefs and Broncos in the AFC, but everyone is looking up to the Pats right now. I say the Ravens are on par with these teams because the Ravens are just as likely to win the division as any of those teams and are probably more likely to advance deep into the playoff if they get there than most of them. The Ravens have had some unfortunate occurrences over the past 4 years with injuries, poor play and the Steelers or Pats just making one more play than they did. But as bad as things have been the Ravens haven't fallen down to the Browns, Bills Jets and others level.

Bring it back to Free Agency. If you are a FA and looking for a team. I don't think anyone has to twist your arm to consider a place like Baltimore to play for. There are many reasons to play here and having the chance to win a SB still ranks high imo. Winning isn't just a on field thing. In fact I'd say the on field product is the last area of winning that shows up for a team. To borrow a phrase from business-owner, investor and billionaire Marcus Lemonis it's all about People, Process than Product. The Ravens have great people running this organization and it starts from the top than trickles down to the staff serving the players and fans. Then it's the Process. The Ravens have a great process to keeping this organization successful and it's proven. Finally the Product. Even though the product hasn't been as good of late, because the other 2 are firmly in place, improving the product just takes minor tweaks. Keeping guys healthy, so your depth doesn't have to assume starting roles, drafting better, guys stepping up to play better. The Product is the easiest part to fix in my experience. So because the Ravens still have those first 2 phases in place, they continue to be right there with the other playoff teams trying to knock the Pats down. I think any FA looking at those 3 things will always place the Ravens in the winning column.

Most winning teams have good process and we are lucky to be one of them; we are pretty much the only team in AFC to hang around the Pats in the postseason and NFC have the Giants pretty much own the Pats in the post season.

We have some bad lucks and disappointments in past few years but I feel better when I still see Bisiotti, Ozzie, and Eric still around.....
