So help me understand this. It isn't about money but it was about time resources spent on moderating the boards? There is something in these two remarks that seems contradictory to me. Couldn't more of these resources be hired if it wasn't about the money?

Lol I thought the same thing but didn't bother to respond; time=money so if money not the issue, time shouldn't be the issue...

I think they just try to give whatever reason to get over it cuz they just want everything transferred to FB and other social platform regardless....

PS my way or high way...haha

Since the announcement about closing the message I have sent three messages on Contact Us and received nothing in return. I did call the Ravens' office twice and did receive a return call. I was told the reason for closing the boards was the dramatic drop in usage. I am a late comer to the boards but I will miss them.

I'm not sure what exactly he's looking at, but I'm pretty sure I check the Ravens website and message board 3-4 times a day at least.....does it count as dramatic drop?

ProFootballTalk is reporting that he and the team have agreed to a reunion for the season.

hope this is true cuz it is a great news for our secondary depth...Webb provides such a valuable versatile in secondary; he can play slot, outside, and FS...in addition, he is a sure tackler for a small guy......

After all, he is a great assess on and off the field for the Ravens nation....

I'm not denying that Cam Cameron wasn't a problem  and Boldin was money for The Ravens but he was able to play with speedy receiver to take the pressure off of him unlike Torrey Smith.Boldin also was able to  go  to the playoffs consistently out of the three years he has been with The Ravens unlike Steve Smith Sr.Even though I feel like Derrick Mason and Steve Smith Sr were better receivers than Anquan Boldin it's no denying that Boldin just was more fortunate and came in at the right time.

I wholeheartedly agree with this; SSR and Mason's experiences and skillsets are no different than Boldin, and they all excel as possessive receivers.  It's a matter of luck per say.....

In addition to the boards being made by members here, I want to say that Russell Street Report has an excellent website and a great board to discuss all things Ravens. Like most of you all, I think facebook Ravens is a great place to get ticked off at the ludicrous comments made by fair weather fans who have no clue what they are talking about. I just thought I'd pop in and let you guys know there are far better ways to communicate in boards like this one without having to discuss with moronic fans in places such as Facebook.

definitely check it out....need some real football discussion....

So I just finished watching Harbs talk live on Facebook and the commenting section was attrocious. Everyone was saying bring back this person, that person. Eventually it got to Ray Rice and people were actually comparing him to Dennis Pitta, in terms of how they have missed a few seasons but only Pitta was kept "because it was personal". Seriously Admins!? Do you really want to leave us with this crap?

Well, when they decided to close down the board, it's obviously they don't care about our opinions or feelings......Nothing we say can change their mind...it's set and stone.........

Some members already made the a duplicate board and it just isn't the same......missing all the mods on here......

    /shrug....moving on....

Good question, doesn't seem as if there is a clear answer

Miami was the only dissenting vote though some teams i'm in contact w/in the meeting don't know precisely why MIA voted no

I wonder why the Dolphins voted against it, be interested in finding out why

May be, Miami have been planning on moving their team to Las Vegas all along and Raiders just stole their spot....lol
