  1. This will interesting to watch. I hope he's eventually that diamond in the rough.
  2. I agree. And if we beat the Bengals, that's ending on a relatively high note.
  3. Rex is NOT COMING BACK. Even if the Ravens wanted him back, he isn't coming back. Plus, he sucks. You say: "But he's aggressive!" Ya, and somehow all the teams he has coached SUCKED.
  4. First off, the FO gets rid of players. Perhaps Harbaugh will have his say, but I'm not sure who it is that we got rid of solely because they bumped heads with Harbaugh, who would have otherwise been a great service to the team. Please don't say Boldin, because there was no indication that he and Harbaugh didn't get along. That IMO was purely an Ozzie move. Who else are you thinking of? The enforcer of the secondary AKA the patriot killer. Does Bernard Pollard ring a bell? Does James Ihedigbo ring a bell to name a few? Pollard was reported to be a real locker room pest - and also, as great a SS as he was, he was also a flag magnet. He gave the opponents a huge lot of free yardage. And he wasn't all that "great." He was a good tackler, hard hitter and good vs the run, but he was AWFUL in coverage. The backfield we have now is actually awesome. Webb and Weddle had their first season together (Webb's first season at safety), and they were really good (aside from some mistakes). If we can shore up our CBs and get a pass rush, we'll be a great defense. Tavon is awesome, and is only going to get better. Canady showed promise; and if he comes back healthy, I think he's going to be good. Jimmy is not dependable, Wright sucks, and Powers is just middle of the pack.
  5. Correct. And take the franchise years to recover. I don't always agree with Harbs, and he definitely has weaknesses. But he's a darn good HC and leader. These fickle fans with their pitch forks don't look at the big picture. It's all reactionary and impulsive responses.
  6. I get what you're saying. But the big question is - who replaces Joe? If the Ravens do that, it's not a "retool", it's a complete rebuild. Joe ain't the greatest, but he's a franchise QB. Franchise QBs aren't easily replaced. It's not like they grow on trees.
  7. And how well are Pagano and Rex doing right now? Yep. Nothing else needs to be said.
  8. Rex, for some reason, always lands a HC job with somebody. Only way he comes back is if he's desperate. Regarding Marvin Lewis, he'll definitely have many, many offers for HC...that's IF the Bengals fire him. He won't settle for a DC position.
  9. You play to win each game, regardless. Didn't pan out the way we, or they, wanted, but I have no problem with Harbs' statements. They should give it all they have. They are paid to do so, and they are competitors. I guess we'll see Sunday, but I most certainly want us to beat the bung holes.
  10. I like it
  11. That is one of the dumbest things I've ever read on this thread...and that's saying a lot. Go ahead, follow the Pats and Steelers...hell, go for the Cowboys. We don't need lame "fans" like you anyways. GO RAVENS!
  12. I've been on Flacco's butt all year, but this one cannot be blamed on him. He played smart, and mistake free. (Other than the last play of the game, which was a major head scratcher, but the odds of success were so low anyways, I didn't care all that much.) The defense was awful, and have been for 3 straight weeks. The offense, although missed opportunities, did put up 27 points. That should be plenty to win. (Props to our MLBs though.)
  13. Same here. Especially for SSS. Suggs got a ring, so it isn't as bad. I think if they focus on the backfield and OLBs, we'll be golden. We have the LT and LG of the future. We have good, young TEs, and I think Perriman will breakout. We have a solid foundation, just got to continue to build on it.
  14. Tough pill to swallow. Ravens played hard, but as the article stated, failed to capitalize on opportunities. But that kinda sums up their season. They played hard, but just were never consistent. So I didn't really expect that to change tonight. I hoped, but knew better. Regardless, Go Ravens...and congratulations to the Steelers. They earned it.
  15. That is some awesome insight into this rivalry. I did not think I get could more pumped for this game, but now I most certainly am.
  16. hahaha! Interesting you say that. If I consistently made decisions that adversely affected my company; guess what? I get fired. And I don't quite yet make $80k a year!! In the real world, we get called out for doing stupid things. But apparently these purple glasses wearing dorks don't understand that concept when it comes to Flacco and the Ravens. Fans, although irrational at times, can be the voices that say what needs to be said when nobody else will. GO RAVENS! (Whether they suck or don't suck)
  17. There he is! Captain of the Flacco Defender Squad. This team, the coaches and the QB have made a lot of ridiculously dumb decisions all year. We're fans. We can complain all we want. We invest time and money into our sports teams, so if Flacco is sucking, I'm going to say how bad he is sucking. If he's doing awesome, I'll praise him for doing awesome. That's what a message board is for, to express one's elation or frustration. If you want to be the ra ra cheerleader 24-7, fine; but get off of your hall monitor high horse, dude.
  18. We can always hope it turns out that way. Flacco typically plays really well against the Steelers. All we need is him to be solid, and to avoid the dumb decisions he's made for much of the season.
  19. Absolutely correct. Sometimes I wonder if they're in "Madden Mode", forgetting that there are real consequences to the decisions that are made. Flacco said something along the lines of: 'I get to throw a 3rd TD.' That's a bit of insight into the minds of these dopes.
  20. There is a difference between being aggressive and dumb. Mary was dumb on that one. No question about it.
  21. Exactly. Trust me. I want Flacco to succeed. I want him to be awesome, and I want him to put up big numbers, including TDs, yards and wins. But he doesn't do that, and much can be blamed on his bad technique and bad decisions.
