  1. Depends on where he falls...I'd like to see us take a QB in the general area of the 4th round, or maybe the comp pick we get for KO...not saying we need to get rid of Joe, but grooming a backup QB has no negative that I can see. Mallet is not the answer, and will more than likely will be paid well over what he's worth by some other team. i agree that some other team will offer more for mallett. we should draft a qb to possibly groom but wonder if we could live with lets say a ryan fitzpatrick if he is cheap enough. No. Double no triple no
  2. Sort of defeats the purpose of the drafted QB though. For starters, I would like to see how many quality starting QBs there are in the league that sat behind somebody for literally like 3-5 years and "developed" into a good player. Aaron Rodgers is about the only example I see of this, and he sat 3 years... and that was over a decade ago. The entire benefit of rookie QBs playing well is that you get them for cheap. Ya, good point. It's not like it used to be. Rookie QBs are generally drafted to start, not sit. I see what you mean.

Joe ain't exactly the best, but he's still a good starting QB, and you simply can't throw that away. But yes, picking up a QB in the draft, grooming him until Joe's contract expires (I believe the rookie contract will expire simultaneously...correct if I'm wrong on that), and HOPEFULLY feeling confident enough to start him. I know it's a long shot, but hey...
  4. A super bowl championship. It's that simple. Joe got paid for winning the big one, like it or not (And what real Raven fan would take a good statistical QB over a SB ring?). Pretty good on his part for waiting out and getting SB MVP=extra big pay day. I'm not questioning the decision to pay him. It had to be done. That's the market. Yes, Joe was smart for betting on himself. But post-super bowl, we have NOTHING to show for it. It's THAT simple. And who said anything about stats? I sure didn't. But since you brought it up, Joe's "stats" have sucked, and so has his record, since the SB.
  5. Honestly, I'd like to see us draft DeShone Kizer. He may fall because he lacks experience (not even two full seasons as NDs starter). If he does, we should take him, groom him. I think he's going to be a great QB. He has all of the tangibles; but he has a very competitive spirit, and he's tough.
  6. If it were only that easy...
  7. "Part of the reason Baltimore’s salary cap is difficult to navigate is the fact that they have quarterback Joe Flacco signed to a $120 million contract. Having one of the league’s highest-paid quarterbacks eats up a sizable chunk of the cap space." LOL - and what do we have to show for it? Anyways, we're stuck, may as well make the best of it. K. Lewis and Arrington just take up space. Doom has been almost worthless. So, bye, bye.
  8. Both won two North Division Titles and one Superbowl. not bad for 19 years between the two sarcastic It actually isn't bad. Look at the Jets, Browns, Bills, Eagles, Redskins, Raiders, Chargers, Bengals (a case can be made), Rams, Jags, Titans, Lions, Vikings, Bears. Other than the Jags, the rest of this groups has been around a lot longer than the Ravens franchise. They have all had a revolving door of coaches and QBs. Hire, fire, hire, fire, bench, start, bench, start - repeat...and they have nothing to show for it. The Ravens on the other hand, are always in the mix. With very few exceptions, this team always has a legitimate shot. There's a reason for that. It's called continuity. The Ravens and other regularly successful franchise share that commonality. I would rather look at what the patriots coaches have done love or hate BB he is a great coach he has a great QB and a bunch plug in guys nobodys ever heard of and win year after year I agree. Patriots have it together; albeit with questionable methods. But their day will end, like everyone else. It won't continue forever. Granted, I'm not happy with the Ravens now; but we have to admit that it's a great organization. Far from perfect, of course; but still a well run franchise that most fans would love to have.

  10. I like Peppers, but I am hearing that Malik Hooker is the best safety, the like of Ed Reed. Also I hear that Jamal Adams is also better than Peppers. But all 3 are very good safety. One of them will be there at pick 16th. Also a top pass rusher and top corner will be there too. Basically when will be on the clock, we will have a pool of top 5 safety, top 5 pass rushers and top 5 conerbacks. So Ozzie will have to make a choice. Hopefully we will get a game changer. I'd say that a top CB is more urgent than a S. Weddle and Webb actually did pretty good for the most part.
  11. I'm pretty sure that was sarcasm, and it was hilarious. I agree.
  12. haha - I know, right? The opponent's offense is on their own 25 and the Ravens CBs are in the tunnel, behind the FG posts.
  13. Are you drunk? I hope you're being sarcastic - You can't use the Jags as an example, nor the Bengals. Bengals have had very limited success, and one and done in the playoffs, and that's IF they make it. The Jags? Are you serious? THEY'RE the blueprint on how to draft? lol
  14. This is too funny. We'll see what he can do with his very own schemes next season. But if it's anything like what we saw this year (Trestman 2.0), this team will be mediocre at best, and Harbs will definitely lose his job.
  15. Bull crap. This secondary is much improved. Also, they generated a lot of turnovers, which was a focal point for them in offseason. They definitely improved. However, they do need to get better, no doubt. Keep in mind, too, that we had no pass rush. No pass rush leaves even the best secondaries vulnerable.
  16. I expected better questions from you bio. These are all inflammatory gotya type questions that are more about getting your opinion across than getting serious answers. Seriously, you are better than this. That's what this board if for...Our opinions. Not like his questions wld be answered anyways

  18. Ravens game plan: Let's send SSS out with a bang by throwing to Pitta all day long, laying eggs in the red zone, letting Rex Burkhead shred the interior (bye, Brandon), and watching Flacco play another wonderfully mediocre game. Great job, Ravens. Very proud of your effort today. Sorry, Steve Smith, that we suck, and didn't even give you a taste of success. Best wishes to you.
  19. The commentator says: "I don't know why Flacco didn't throw it to Steve Smith, he was open." The answer: Because Steven Smith is #89, not #88. Apparently Pitta is the only guy Flacco sees on the field.
  20. Cool! Ravens will get the ball back to either throw a pick, or to lay another egg in the red zone. Awesome!!
  21. Was that sack? Forgot what those looked like.
  22. I may be wrong. But on that 4th and 2, Bengals only had 10 guys on the field. What does Flacco do? Throws off of his back foot...you guessed it, Pitta. Brilliant!
  23. We're not going to resign Brandon Williams - and I'm glad. Dude has completely disappeared at the end of the season.
  24. Ya. Joe is not accountable at all. SMH. The OC didn't throw that pick in the end zone. The OC doesn't throw into double coverage regularly. Football is football. You don't need an OC to know how to be logical. It's actually a simple game. All the bad decisions Joe has made this year are on Joe, and Joe alone. He's a 9 year veteran. This is him, and always will be...with some exceptions here and there.
  25. A new OC will only give firepower to the Flacco lovers, excusing him for his idiocy. Unless Kubs decided to to comeback, I don't think there's an OC in this league that can somehow transform this offense.
