  1. Flacco is playing with a injured/crappy O-Line that can't protect. He is also coming off an ACL injury and playing through a Shoulder Injury and Missing his #1 WR. Your comment shows lack of knowledge of the current situation. Flacco is the guy. As a team we need to commit to the run for 4 quarters, and use play action to our benefit. Dixon could provide the splash plays that keep drives alive. FLACO SOULD NOT THROW THE BALL 40 TIMES! HAHA! The Far Below Average Joe excuse machine rolls on! Just watching last night's game, made me yearn for a half decent QB, so we wouldn't be wasting some awesome D. Wentz and Prescott play like seasoned vets, while FBAJ plays like a wide eyed rookie sinking in quick sand. By the way, FBAJ shouldn't throw the ball ONCE! He shouldn't be anywhere near a football field. HAHA! The won more playoff games and a super bowl than guy's you wish played for us joe hater's machine rolls on also, I see... The SB win was amazing; but it was lightening in a bottle. Joe has been absolutely disgusting since then. Are there other factors that come into play? Of course there are. But let's not pretend that Joe is absolved of culpability. He's a really good QB in perfect day scenarios. But without every piece around him, he is below average. Great QBs have good days and bad days, but they overcome them. They don't regress. Flacco is regressing with each snap.

What about the times when Flacco is given time, and he still throws off his back foot, and into double coverage? Most of your argument is valid; but you're forgetting that Flacco is responsible for the losses as much as anybody else. The blame goes all around, and Flacco is most certainly a big part of the problem. Take off your purple glasses, and stop defending the guy's garbage play.
  3. LOL. Makes me think of the Jim Breuer skit about him being in a convalescent home, but still being into heavy metal - him and his old buddies do wheelchair mosh pits.
  4. Even if Monroe was still here, it's not like he'd be playing. He was always hurt.
  5. Stanley's value was not "hidden." He was a top 10 pick, no matter what. The dude was and is a great pass protector. That's a smart move. He's not the best run blocker, but he's intelligent and hard working, which means he WILL become a great all around linemen.
  6. So tired of hearing this Flacco contract argument. He's getting paid what the average successful QB is getting paid. Romo is making $18 million, Kap is making $19 million, Cousins is making $20 million, Tannehill is making $20 million, Carson Palmer is making $25 million. Do you even know what a $10 million QB looks like? Here's your options (not on rookie deal): Ryan Fitzpatrick = $12 million RG3 = $ 7.5 million Chase Daniel = $7 million Josh McCown = $ 4.6 million Chad Henne = $ 4 million. Do you know what a crap shoot drafting a QB is without having a Top 3 overall pick?Johnny Manziel, EJ Manual, Geno Smith, Paxton Lynch, Christian Hackenberg, etc. In the last 4 drafts, 42 QBs have been drafted after the Top 3 picks - exactly 3 have made any impact (Teddy Bridgewater, Derek Carr, Dak Prescott). 3 outta 42! That's a 7% success rate. 7%! Those are not good odds to waste a 1st, 2nd or 3 round pick on. Correct. It is the market, and Flacco inevitably got the market value. I think the argument is that he hasn't even been close to living up to it. However, the Ravens had to pay him. If not, it's back to the drawing board.
  7. So by getting back to full strength, they'll get back to where they were when the season began - a not so good team who barely beat teams that were worse than them. But seriously, maybe the tough teams they have to play will light a fire under their butts.
  8. 1. I don't care about QB ratings, because they don't mean anything. Not an accurate measure of a QB and not a highly regarded measurement by anybody. 2. He also has 2 picks in 3 games and 0 picks in 4 games. That's why its not smart to take these things from a boxscore and from a vacuum... need to actually watch the games and take things in context. 3. Pretty clear you didn't watch some of those late game drives, because in many cases, I'd argue Joe was almost single handily responsible for getting them as close as he did. Puts the ball in a beautiful spot for Perriman against the Redskins... he doesn't get two feet down. Puts the ball right on the money at mid-field to Chris Moore against the Raiders that would have easily gotten a first down and put them in FG range for the game winning kick... he drops the ball. Requires a lot more than just Joe to get a team close to scoring on a game winning drive, and for a lot of these games, Joe's done his part. He hasn't been great at other times of games, and was pretty bad for most of the Jets and Redskins game, but he's not killing his team in any of the other games. Would be nice if some other players on the field decided to make a play every now and then and boost some of the other guys who aren't playing well. Lord knows Joe has done that more than a few times in his career (see like half of the 2014 season). All valid points. Yes, there are various factors that come into play, and yes, when Joe has made a good play, there have been times where his WRs did not come through. But we have to be honest with ourselves as fans: Joe has, for the most part, been awful. Even when he has had time, he's not taking advantage of it. Instead, as the numbers last week pointed out, he's actually been slightly worse when given time. He is not employing fundamentals. He's constantly throwing off his back foot, throwing into double coverage, leaving WRs open, because he wants his first read to work, and he forces it. He's done it all year. Not all of the blame goes on Joe, and he has done some good; but a big part of the blame does fall on him. If he corrects the "simple" things, this may be an entirely different discussion. Let's not be blind to Joe's failures. He's been terrible, and yes, so has the entire unit. But Joe is paid like one of the best, and he's not even remotely close to playing like one.
  9. Lots of things would have helped. Our defense actually covering Crabtree in the red zone or ODB at all for 30 minutes would have helped too. In two of our losses, Joe's offense put up an average of 25 points. More than enough to win an NFL game. And he didn't throw any picks, and he threw for roughly 300 yards in both. Joe sucked against the Jets and he sucked against the Redskins. Those two I have no issue with blaming a large portion of the loss on him and the offense. Against Buffalo, Joe's rating was 100. Since then he's not even reached 84. Last game his rating was 54. His average so far is 75. He has 6 picks to 5 TDs in 7 games. His performances all year have been atrocious. In many of the close losses, the Ravens had the ball last, and had a chance to win. But Joe hasn't even come close to coming through. The dude freaking sucks. Plain and simple. I'm hoping that somehow he comes alive, but I'm not optimistic.
  10. You said the following: "Hey Harbs: Stop being coy about the injuries. Your "deceptive tactics" are clearly of no benefit to the team. You suck, and whole stinkin team sucks. So why don't you just tell us who's going to play and who's not." My response: Don't tell us who's playing and who's not, because it doesn't benefit the team one bit to do so. Its not about what you or I personally want... its whats best for the team. Neat
  11. Why do you deserve to know? "Your "deceptive tactics" are clearly of no benefit to the team." Based on what? Something can benefit the team and the team can still lose. It's in the best interest of the team to not say anything. Just ask BB. Based on the fact that no revealing the details has not resulted in anything beneficial. I was being facetious. Simply pointing out that this tactic is not helping anybody anyways, so why not just say it.
  12. You don't deserve to know. That's the point. So why should John tell you anything when it doesn't benefit him or the team to do so? Vanity? Again, I never even implied that I deserved to know. You're making things up. Why don't you read my reply all the way through before commenting on it. I'm not arguing with you. Looks like you're hoping I am, though.
  13. Man please the QB is making the entire Ravens organization look bad! The Ravens should be 6-1 but Joe isn't cutting it! PERIOD! Well except for that 3 game stretch when he wasn't throwing picks and we still went 1-2. 2 of which were largely on the defense. But lets not let common sense get in the way of a bad narrative... troll on kid. True. But if he threw some TDs, that may have helped.
  14. Why do you deserve to know? Who said I "deserved" to know. That never even crossed my mind, bud. I was simply making a point. What else you got for me?
  15. Trade one underachiever for another? Ya, brilliant idea. Flacco is playing terribly, but that's just silly.
  16. no coach ever does this, or should. Why do you think Tom Brady has been listed as questionable for over a decade? I know they don't. I was being facetious. It's obvious that it's not helping, though. So may as well tell us. It's starting to look like the Perriman situation all over again.
  17. They should dress up as "winners" for the costume party.
  18. Hey Harbs: Stop being coy about the injuries. Your "deceptive tactics" are clearly of no benefit to the team. You suck, and whole stinkin team sucks. So why don't you just tell us who's going to play and who's not.
  19. If they draft a new, young QB, we'd still be stuck with Flacco until his contract ends. That means that the "new, young QB", will likely ride the pine and be groomed for 3 years. However, I'm OK with that. Flacco's job needs to be threatened anyways. He's sitting pretty no matter disgusting his play is. He knows he's got the guaranteed money, and nobody else out there that is worth it to the team; so he's secure. And you can tell by his play. He's just chucking the ball around, not caring where it ends up. After a pick, or 3 and out, he lightly jogs off the field, as if to say: "Who cares? I'm paid. And I'm going to get my wife pregnant again."
  20. I agree. If Joe's contract and the rookie QBs contract end at the same time, that'd be ideal. Joe MIGHT be tradeable to a desparate team, but highly unlikely someone else would pay for a Waste products with gold...maybe the Browns. I agree too, that Joe played his hand right, and things went just about perfectly for him. He was only worth his contract because of the market, and he and his agent knew that. But other than the Kubiak year, Flacco has been a terrible QB. It's not like it's a bad game here and there; his bad games far outweigh his good games. A new T-shirt should be made that says #awful
  21. One thought: WE SUCK
  22. Imagine if we got paid like the best in our business, but in reality were the "below average" in our businesss? That'd be cool. I bet Joe doesn't lose sleep due to sucking at his job, worried about losing it. Man, what a lucky guy.
  23. I think the Flacco apologists are hilarious. Insane, but hilarious. The dude just plain sucks. Is there anyone better out there? Nobody available. So we're stuck with this dude for a long time. However, I'd actually like to see him called out for sucking. He threw terrible passes all day (all season). It should hv been 3 picks, but that punt/pass into double coverage was dropped by the DB. Even when has time, he's still throwing off his back foot, like he's a rookie. Dude is so inaccurate, and is constantly forcing throws. I used to stick up for him. Not anymore. HE SUCKS. And so do his fanboys.
  24. He hasn't been in any game all season. The dude just sucks.
