  1. This game is not a gimme. 1) Our team is just OK 2) Flacco pretty much always sucks against the Bengals D. You can pretty much guarantee at least two picks.
  2. How did you feel when the confetti was dropping at New Orleans? NFL contracts are usually structured to compensate players for the present and future performance, not past performance. However the best indication of future performance, is previous productivity. He played well in 2012, but it's 4 yrs later now. He hasn't played well at all in that span, and the team is below .500 over that span. While his previous performance enabled him to cash in, it still doesn't negate the buyer's remorse among fans due to his dismal performance since signing that original contract. Good points. Ya, the confetti was nice. But he didn't get paid until after the confetti. With exception of the Kubiak season, Flacco has been pretty terrible. So needless to say, since signing the contract, he's most certainly not lived up to it.
  3. We weren't down two scores until 11 minutes left in the game. And yes, you definitely abandon the run at that point. Running the ball accomplishes literally nothing. I've grown weary of explaining this Jacket, I'm glad you can keep at it, I fear most are lost on this point. Sunday was the litmus test for intelligent analysis of games. I think that some people either are just looking at the most superficial stat lines or they don't understand how truly debilitating the penalties were in crippling our ability to use the run. Some games they have abandoned the run, mostly under Trestman, but not this past Sunday. The exception might be for those who think running the ball should take place on all downs and distances. If that's the case, then I guess they are right, we didn't commit to running the ball to the exclusion of everything else. No joke. It's insane, actually.
  4. Weddle has been a wonderful pick up. He's a great leader. His skills and smarts are second to none. Really, really like him. Wish he was a Raven from the get go.
  5. There he is! I bet Joe sleeps better knowing that you're watching his back.
  6. Sadly, that's been the story all year. No sense of urgency. Walking up to the LoS nonchalantly. Running the ball with :30 on the clock and a need for a TD. Unfortunately, it didn't start yesterday. I have screamed at the TV in every one of these close losses in which we needed to score in the last minute or two. Great point! I bet that Mallett can be as better / better than Joe- contrary to what people are basing their sentiments / facts on. Mallett did beat Pittsburgh last year- with less weapons. He has more than likely 'matured' while he has been here. I wish they would have a fan vote, either Flacco or Mallett. I know that the brass does not want a controversy given they are paying Joe a pooload of money. Lets vote......or picket M and T ! 1) A fan vote? That's asinine. If fans could dictate which players start...you know what? Never mind. No need to even explain why that is ridiculous. 2) Flacco has been bad this year. But if you think Mallet is the answer, then you're crazy. He had a couple of good games, and that's it. No proven track record as a starter; which is why he's a career pine rider. He's a great backup to have, though.
  7. I was thinking the same thing. Of course they abandoned the run, they barely had the ball, and when they did, they didn't have time run the ball. Silly people only look at the numbers, yet fail to look at T.O.P.
  8. LOL. Maybe it'll work, though. haha
  9. Is supposed to be someone waking Joe up from his slumber? Maybe it'll work!
  10. "Leave Joe alone! He's got a booboo." - Flacco's online body guards
  11. Passion is a feeling......you have no idea how Joe feels. You do not have to show it to feel it. His stupid statue pose after FINALLY throwing a TD instead of a pick gives you a clue as to where his head is. Or heart, if you will.
  12. Passion is a feeling......you have no idea how Joe feels. You do not have to show it to feel it. Know that saying: "Actions speak louder than words"?
  13. Remember when Joe said 'I think I'm the best quarterback in the NFL'?
  14. And Ray Lewis getting hurt almost cost Joe his ring. Ray was disingenuous not to mention that Joe, super bowl MVP Joe with the exact same demeanor, was the reason he got his second ring. We won that super bowl because of Joe's amazingness and despite the ineffectiveness of an injured Ray. I love Ray, but he is letting the Ravens down here attacking an injured Joe with a 2nd and 3rd string line who can't protect him. Here we go again. "Poor, inured Joe. Boohoo." It's about time someone other than us fans without purple glasses tell it like it is. I swear, you and a few others are just here to "protect" Joe like you're his online bodyguards. Yes, it is not all of Joe's fault, be he certainly carries a huge part of the blame. "Bad o line and injuries" did not cause him to throw 9 bone headed ints. Stop excusing the guy. Joe needs to step the hell up and start playing like he cares.
  15. I didn't know the defense of ineffective in the playoffs or super bowl, you must've watched a different playoff run than I did. The defense basically was mute when Lewis was out, they lost 4 of their last 5. And when he came back they started back playing Ravens defense. And we all know Jacoby Jones should've won that Super Bowl MVP. Solid points
  16. And who got Bart's ring? Oh ya, he doesn't have one.
  17. Yes sir. About time someone outside of us realistic fans point it out. Ray over Joe ANY FREAKING DAY.
  18. "Question" Joe's passion? There is no question - He DOES NOT HAVE ANY.
  19. Knock it off. Root for the kid if you want. Get on their band wagon but get off Joe's back. Are you Joe's hired, personal online body guard? ;)
  20. He has nine each. Flipping that is still nine each ;). hahahaha. nice
  21. Kind of early to make any predictions, isn't it? Ramsey=Peters? In whose fantasy world is that real? Ramsey hasn't looked bad, but he's not exactly been a game changer either, so let's wait and see before proclaiming the guy the second coming of Neon Sanders...And how are you saying its a major mistake for drafting Stanley? Almost every lineman in NFL history has taken at least a year to make the transition from college to pros. Its not as easy as you seem to believe. More so with two rookies starting besides each other, but that's a different complaint then just saying the guy's a bum. pretty much all o-lineman go through an adjustment period. So I'll wait to make a judgement call...you may be proven correct, but at this point you're simply over reaching to lay blame on the front office with no justification. Agreed. Picking one of the top 2 tackles in college in the first round should NOT be considered a blunder. Besides, he's actually done quite well. He'll grow, and if he stays healthy, he'll become a top tackle in the NFL.
  22. Look at the crap teams we've played, and we're still only 5-4. I believe we can win; but anybody has a chance in this league. Comparing schedules doesn't mean anything.
  23. Ya, that's right. No accountability for Joe. smh
