Mosley has been good to excellent, but as a whole, I tend to really not like Alabama players, due to the track record. They have a large number of players drafted and very few of them translate to the pro game as break out difference makers. I hope they go with a pass rusher who actually fits the scheme, or DB. With Jimmy Smith's durability issues, DB should be an extreme priority. If they pass over several quality corners to instead select a WR again, they will be looking at constant exploitation in the defensive passing game if any injuries resurface.

Think this is a bit of a myth though. They typically churn out at least 1-2 high quality NFL players every year, which is pretty strong. I think this perception is applied to them because they're getting at least 7-8 guys drafted every single year.

Some drafts are better than others, obviously.

2011 had three exceptional players in it (Dareus, Julio, Ingram)
2012 had some quality players (Kirkpatrick, Barron, Hightower)
    2013 was a down year
2014 had Mosley but probably not much else
2015 had Amari Cooper and Landon Collins, two stud players

    We could've had Collins.... : (

  2. Not too sure why we are going after Morris Claiborne...he's neither good nor healthy

Personally, I'd like to go after Prince Amukamara. He's had injury problems too, but at least played decently throughout. Played 14 games last year. Claiborne only played 7 I believe...

  3. Just heard his interview. Maybe he reads this, maybe he won't. But hopefully his career in football doesn't end here. Hopefully he becomes a coach and teaches the things that made him successful to some lucky kids. He was too small, too slow, and too unathletic to get drafted or signed to a bigger school than North Texas....but he came into the NFL and showed us he wasn't too small, too slow, or too unathletic....you'll be missed and thank you for an excellent year! Best of luck to you!

  4. Jonathan Cyprien anyone?  He'd be a good SS option so that Weddle coam roam the field a bit more.  We could also get him at a reasonable price.

Or how about Prince Amukamara?  He was only signed to a one year deal with the Jags and he is certainly better than playing Shareece for any while longer.  He would be a cheaper option as well.  His signing would also help move Tavon to the inside and allow us to pick up other needs in the draft, in case no worthy corner falls to us.  However, I am hopeful we draft Teez Tabor or Adoree Jackson.

I really hope we draft a Center & Guard Rounds 2-4. Jabril Peppers, Dalvin Cook, D'onta Foreman, Corey Davis, John Ross, Jaylon Tabor, Adoree' Jackson should all be on our short list. We need more playmakers that can win games. Jackson, Peppers, and Ross bring return ability which we also need.

This is a nice list.....and the exact same people I was thinking of...minus Peppers
