  1. The seems to be more about getting a return man than anything else.
  2. What about Darren Waller showing he could get behind that defense and get open for that 17 yard strike. he looked great on both attempts. Don't forget Will Davis (here only for a week) showing Arington and Melvin how it's done.
  3. At least fans aren't clinging to anymore false hope .
  4. Trestman is used to weapons like Marshall and Forte. He gets here and has a 5'8 Sr., no deep threat, and RB that is usually stopped at first touch. He doesn't have the personnel and the O-line isn't up to par.
  5. I've said before that season started that by mid-season Taliaferro would overtake Forsett as a our starter and I still feel that way.
  6. Forsett needs an open alley to be productive in any real sense. He's easy to stop. He's not breaking any tackles. He's not ever going to make anyone miss with that weak juke. The bottom line is that his productivity is 100% dependent on big holes from the O-line. Unfortunately this is no longer Kubiak's line. It's the product of Juan Castillo and it well in line with the trash we had in 2013.
  7. I read the headline and I was wondering who we just signed. LOL Great article.
  8. I can't see him getting on the field with absolutely no chemistry with Flacco.
  9. Juan Castillo's 2013 O-line is back.
  10. Someone should have an answer as to why such blatant PI wasn't called. Pass Interference just doesn't get more textbook than that.
  11. Steelers to lose Brady/Patriots damaged beyond repair going forward
  12. Matt Schaub is just being who he is. Unfortunately that's why he's out of two starting gigs. He routinely plays up to par in stretches only to squander everything with bad decisions and interceptions. I'm not insulting him. That's simply what he does. As starter his career is over baring the most desperate of teams. As backup he provides , better continuity as pocket passer. Matt's exit is already scheduled after this season so Renner may stick around as Joe's apprentice. I could live with that.
  13. I could care less about having a "elite" wideout. Boldin wasn't elite and neither was Torrey but they helped get us win and get a ring . Sr. isn't elite he had several horrible games last season including a 2yarder against the Chargers but but we overlook that. Stats are fantasy junkies and reporters that think everything is about a number. Wins are real and sometimes the guys most responsible don't glow on paper or stay in the highlight reel s. Our QB is a prime example.
  14. Castillo came into Baltimore with a scheme without the proper personnel to execute it and without an effective means to teach it and poor implementation. That said he made a mess of the place and nothing changes that. Kubiak came in with a complete proven system and had a dedicated pit crew to teach every aspect of it. Castillo can be successful by merely NOT trying to fix what isn't broken
  15. I want to know what LAW they are citing that says it's not finder keepers especially after she abandoned the search and made claim with the insurer. This a case of what's called double indemnity. IOW- words you can't collect on a loss from multiple parties. Once she has declared the ring a loss and is given a replacement she has no legal rights of ownership that allows her to claim to the ring. The jeweler gave him the engagement ring because they had no right to keep it as the ring was not stolen or illegally obtained. If they believed the ring to be stolen they were obligated BY LAW to call the police - not the Baltimore Ravens. That is the law.
  16. I don't know if Asa Jackson is trying to make us forget he was #25 or if the Ravens are still trying to make us forget that Rice was #27.
  17. Osemele is all but certain to cash out next year but the upside is that he's going to play like a beast to boost his stock even further.
  18. Perriman's catching can be improved and this when/where you do it. OTOH it also stands to reason that if he was criticized for hand issues before the draft and he's dropping in practice to the point that the Ravens are publicly discussing it - the claims were not unfounded or out of proportion. the guy is going to need time to stumble when it comes to playing real starters in September. I hope fans are as forgiving then as they are now.
  19. Cleveland's "Lost N' Found" called. They have your spine.
  20. I couldn't care any less Cleveland's championship woes. You get what you earn when you earn it in this league. Their managerial ineptness continues to this day and Ozzie would fail miserably for the same reason Mike Pettine and Farmer is having trouble. The ownership can't get out it's own way.
  21. Somehow even if Trestman keeps the core of last year's offense intact Forsett is poised to take a step back. He had gaping holes under Kubiak but our competition is going to adjust and so is our playbook under Trestman regardless of what's put out there. Forsett doesn't create on his own . doesn't make defenders miss, and is not in the business of breaking tackles and trucking defenders. I see Taliaferro making his mark as defenses adjust and the RB duties get physically demanding.
  22. As a UFA every bit of encouragement helps. I wouldn't add up Sr.'s words to be anything more than that. This kind high praise after a few games is a different story.
  23. He was never healed. He didn't have surgery the first time to avoid be placed on IR and it caught up with him. At least this time he's had the surgery address the injury instead repeating past mistakes. In any cas they're going to let him play if he's cleared. A $6million paid vacation doesn't seem to be Ozzie's style.
  24. Yanda is the best RG in the league and he's going to get paid like it from us or somebody else. Likewise, KO isn't going to be cheap either and both are tempted to go on the free market. Just like Jimmy Smith, give up the big bucks now or let walk after this season. Neither one of these guys are going to play for hometown pennies.
  25. I believe that much of criticisms of against Smith were the result of fans simply regurgitating what what they read/hear despite seeing the opposite on the field. If Florio had said that Smith couldn't tie his shoes fans would spit it out as the gospel and claimed that they saw him on the field barefoot.
