  1. Pees puts together a great defensive plan by saturating the secondary and forcing the run. Despite Smith and Lewis moving the ball for the Steelers better than Steelers themselves it still worked great. Still There are fans blaming the three big PIs on the DC. SMH
  2. To those believe Ozzie can do no wrong and infallible your blasphemy will not go unnoticed. I don't see a change coming anytime soon. We will still let talent escape because we refuse to recognize market value, sit out free agencies until we are picking over marked down left overs. and negate need in the draft. t's what we've always done and it has finally caught up with us. We can't keep operating in 2009.
  3. He's a killer possession WO that has grit and good hands. OTOH he isn't getting on top of many secondaries because he doesn't have the speed. He's a darn good chain mover.
  4. He wants nothing to with Antonio Brown or AJ Green in the coming games. Our team is decimated but the 1-on-1 match-ups coming his way will fall squarely on him. If he doesn't go on IR his excuse is already being laid out.
  5. he might as well check out for the season He's been getting roasted o the regular and he knows he isn't getting cut.
  6. KO isn't stupid and no agent would allow that to happen.
  7. They knew KO was gone when he wouldn't extend and they turned their efforts to extending Yanda. You can't fault a player for betting on himself and winning.
  8. The Ravens sound really petty bring up Jah Reids extension. They sound like some of the childish Ravens fans. You would think they would have more important things to worry about.
  9. I didn't say they would make the roster. They will be back in camp next season where they'll compete. If Mathews shows he be consistent there's no reason to believe Ozzie pinch a penny and hold on to him in some fashion. This is even more likely if Waller doesn't pan out in camp. We already know Mathews can play on a big stage and in clutch situations. That's a huge plus.
  10. Jimmy Smith has one decent year sandwiched between multiple season of being hurt or getting burned while running alongside WOs. He's been playing with shaken confidence since Cooper lit him up in in Oakland week 2.
  11. Why is anyone worried about winning . We are now in 2016 training camp to see who we keep on the cheap so that we don't have to go into free agency searching or burn draft picks . Givens and Mathews are sure to be back and they are testing Tray Walker next week to see if they have a candidate to facilitate moving Webb to safety.
  12. Smith didn't restructure. He was extended 4 year $41mill/21gntd. Ozzie was outflanked by Drew Rosehaus who threatened with open market being that Smith was in a contract year and corner were expected to go at a premium. . Smith has 1 season of decent play. His first two teetered between getting burned and getting hurt. His fourth season he was hurt and before he was even cleared to practice Ozzie inked him without knowing what player would show this year. He's back to playing as he did when he arrived but it doesn't matter. Nobody is eating his contract and he's too detrimental to the cap to cut. He'll play lights out in 2016 or he'll be cut in late 2017 when his dead money is under $3mill.
  13. So this is officially the 2016 Pre-Pre-Season.
  14. At this point it doesn't matter what fresh case you bring in. Nobody really knows the playbook , has any chemistry, or poise for a big stage. It sucks but Schaub gives us the best chance. It hurts just saying that.
  15. The first time it affects Tucker's accuracy the experiment is over.
  16. One major difference is that in Schaub's career there has never really been a time when he hasn't done this even when he has had all of weapons and solidified chemistry. Joe may have thrown his fair share of picks this but to fair he also didn't know who he'd be throwing to from week to week.
  17. Schaub proved why he should start for another NFL ever. His picks were thrown right on schedule.
  18. Brown looked good in preseason albeit against bums and bubbles. He might be more TE than WO when it comes to speed.
  19. Right now Ozzie seems to be holding early WO auditions so that we can cheap out in the first round and during free agency. He seems to be looking for the "not great but good enough" type player. It doesn't sound good but the sad fact is that we are in the process of sifting through league's garbage hoping to find something worth keeping. WO is not and will never be a priority for Ozzie.
  20. I predicted that Taliaferro wouyld unseat Forsette as the starting RB. I didn't think it would transpire like this and with Allen. Those gaping alleys from Kubiak are gone and watching Forsette run into a lineman's backside gets old. I don't see Forsette getting his job back especially since Allen , West and Taliaferro are more physical and suited to Trestman's system.
  21. Skip the Pro Bowl and don't allow for another freak injury.
  22. Perhaps Boyle needs to dial back on hurdling defenders. I love that kids fire though. He catches without fear.
  23. Neither Ross or Jackson cost us anything in dead money. They are both are UFA after 2015 and both were cheap to begin with. We're good in that respect.
  24. For Ross, not only was it the miss but he way he missed. He lost focus on the ball (probably peeking up-field) and then chose not to get under the ball opting to catch a punt outside of his shoulder ( a cardinal sin even when a FC is called). You knew he was done when they sat him and inserted Butler.
  25. Sooooo Asa Jackson couldn't pull the "IR-save my job" trick a third time. Anyway he was sent packing after the Giants looked at him for two days and should have never been back IMO. This does speak to Ozzie's failure to address the returner roles early on when we had the chance.
