  1. I have already conceded to the Cam argument. Cam is an idiot.
  2. I am using Torrey as an example of what I would consider good young talent. Doss is not that, by comparison. Doss has the 200 odd snaps and has done less than Torrey did by his second game with maybe 50 snaps. I just do not want to compare Doss to Boldin, as comparing a relative rookie to a big time vet is not fair.
  3. Okay. Cam as the problem I can agree with.
  4. I am going to have to disagree. If he was a really good WR he would get more playing time regardless of who else is good. Otherwise how do you explain Pierce getting playing time over Rice? Rice is the better back but Pierce runs the ball quite often. Boldin couldn't use a break?
  5. He may have only seen 200 snaps but in those 200 snaps he was not very good. By the time that Torrey saw 100 snaps he already had 3 TDs for some serious yardage. If we are comparing young talent to young talent.... But I agree that it will not be doom and gloom if we lose Boldin. Well, I will be gloomy, but the team will do fine. Oz will work some sort of miracle as usual and we will do just fine. It will just suck to lose the guy. He is very good and will be difficult to replace. Contrary to many fans opinions his replacement is not on the team yet. At least I haven't seen any young player (that is not named Torrey) that could carry his jock strap.
  6. You cannot seriously be comparing Dropsy Doss to either Smith or Boldin. Not even as a bad example. The guy doesn't get much play time because the FO and coaching staff don't want him to. It isn't like we are wildly deep at WR. If he was any good at all and had actually caught a few passes thrown his way, he would have gotten more play time.
  7. Oh yeah, that's right. Joe is pretty small this year I guess that does make Q the third highest..
  8. I agree that 7.5 is too high, but I don't think that is the third highest cap hit, is it? Isn't, Suggs, Yanda and Ngata higher, and of course Joe?
  9. If he gets cut, I have to admit, rational or not, I will be pissed off. I know it is just a business, I know that we have to make cap space, I know all the ins and outs, but that does not change things. I will be pissed off. There has to be some way to keep him. The FO is "supposedly" doing back flips to keep Ellerbe who is comfortable chasing the dollar with another team and they "supposedly" are willing to cut Boldin, who wants to stay. If this is business, it sucks. I know that we cannot pay him his original asking price, but I am sure they could wheel and deal a little bit to get him happy.
