  1. Ignorant questions deserve ignorant answers, and reporters ask the most ignorant questions I could possibly think of. Come on, like a coach is going to tell a reporter and the general public what he plans to do with a player due to his successes or failures? Just stupid. Is there a regular class that reporters go to, so they can learn the most ridiculous questions to ask?
  2. And did anyone other than the Ravens staff need to see Shaub play to know he wasn't worth the money? He is as bad as I thought he would be.
  3. Jealousy. Anger at how an upstart team can be so good. Insecurity with their own team.Ignorance. Take your pick.
  4. Hurt in camp, in camp, two years in a row? If the guy is that fragile is it worth it to keep him?
  5. I like your precognitive abilities. If you're a homer, then sign me up too.
  6. He does innovate all right. And he is a master of the game and the rules. The thing is the rules are not meant to be twisted in such a way. The game is supposed to be a competition that pits two teams of elite athletes against each other skill vs skill. Not between a couple of old men pouring over ancient books of rules trying to figure out a way to "innovate".
  7. You are right. They didn't cheat as far as the ineligible receiver thing. Deflate gate is a whole different issue. But it was underhanded and sneaky and definitely contrary to both the spirit of the game and good sportsmanship. Not that a rules change will make any difference. I am certain that BB is already in deep study with the rule book in order to find some other "non-cheating" way to circumvent the rules.
  8. Personally, I don't see the potential that Mili sees in Tyrod, but even if he never gets past being mediocre, there are teams that are desperate for anyone that can toss a ball. Someone would give him a chance, or should. It is possible that he could wind up as a good QB.
  9. Backup what? Prayer meeting leader? Or water boy?
  10. The kid was 4 years old and he was whipped so badly that he was bleeding from multiple cuts on his legs bottom and thighs. So is Peterson going to be suspended indefinitely?
  11. It is amazing the number of out of work, yet incredibly knowledgeable, NFL GMs that are on this forum. All these fan/GMs that know so much more than our entire FO. I am stunned that not one of them has been picked up by any of the 32 teams out there. How is this possible? Obviously these guys football acumen is legendary. Well legendary in their own minds. After all, most of them have numerous years spudding on their sofas, guzzling brews and yelling at their TVs while watching football. If that is not GM quality credentials, I don't know what is.
  12. I agree. There is and has been a lot of chatter about another WR, but we are not too bad in that dept as it is. At least for this year. I think we could take a 6 or 7 round WR, but nothing sooner, unless a real stud is left on the board.
  13. I don't think he would ever clear waivers. Someone would snatch him up.As it stands now he is ours at a great deal.
  14. So long as he is still in football shape, there is no downside. His contract if very beneficial to the Ravens.
  15. I thought it was questionable back then and I still do. We picked up a bunch of duds with money that could have been used to keep Boldin. Not even the much vaunted Dumervil really had much of an impact on the team. Although I have no illusions that the team would have done much better had he stayed. We were pretty bad last year. Too much talent too quickly lost and not all of it due to FO decisions. The fate of being successful.
  16. I understand your point but, using that same logic, we could presume that Yanda is questionable as to his usefulness since he "was part of a Ravens o-line that wasn't good last year". Although none of us make that assumption. Zuttah could very well be the victim of being surrounded by poor quality players and/or poor coaching or schemes. At least I hope that is the case.
  17. Will you point out every time he stops a sack? Every time he assists in some way? I doubt it, since that would tarnish "this fans" high opinion of "this fan"
  18. Really this guy...can he be more negative. I really believe he just likes to stir the pot. Get a little conversation going. What I really believe would get gigged and I would be reprimanded by the (hinnie) police.
  19. There has been a day of FA so far. Ozzie isn't one to jump in as soon as the gates open. He likes to observe the idiots eat each other, then he goes in for some bargain shopping. We have all seen this over and over, right? I assume this is not your first year of following this team. This happens every year during FA. Although this year we may actually grab a guy or three. Although it can be frustrating.
  20. I agree. And that is what he is being paid as. He isnt getting top WR pay, or even 2nd or 3rd WR pay.
  21. I don't think anyone expects 4000 yards out of the guy. But a solid 500 or 600 would be fine, along with giving us good field position on returns, and a few highlight reel run backs. Its not like they are paying him Joe Flacco money. Part of the reason that fans are excited about him staying is because he is a fan favorite, and we have lost a lot of fan favorites over the last few years. Its understandable why, but that doesn't make it any more a reason for celebration. Remember how much it sucked that Reed left for the Texans.People would have rather seen him retire a Raven. Sure we had better spruce up the WR corp with more than just the same guys from last year. I am reasonably certain that the FO is well aware of our needs in that department. So don't get all bunched up, until the FA and the draft are over. Enjoy the little things when you can. Keeping a fan favorite is one of those enjoyable little things.
  22. If that is true then Trinden Holiday is an unknown quantity, as is every other player. The only thing we have to rate anyone or anything by is what we know, and that knowledge is ALWAYS base upon the past. Duh!
  23. You can count on a couple of really big plays in tight games from this guy. That is an asset you do not want to be without.
  24. I was against the original signing, as he seemed to be a thug. Walking away from all the money and glory of the NFL sure is a way to prove he was serious about changing. It would be good to see if he succeeded and no harm to us. Very low cost, with nothing but upside. I would like to see him come back and hopefully get himself a ring in his first year as a Raven
