  1. There is no "if". There is what happened. There is reality. Ben did not play, we won. No blow out.
  2. Agreed. I certainly don't expect him to get us to the SB but without using the fountain of youth on a few key retired Ravens, is there anyone that could? On top of the other positives that have been stated, he is a fan favorite. It would be nice to see him run one or two back. Or even try.
  3. I don't believe the returner was down. I know very well he was down.
  4. I am going out on a limb and saying we will lose this one. I never said I was going far out on the limb, and predicting anything else, considering the FO and coaching staff are in some sort of denial, would be foolish.
  5. Well I have found one group related to football that I hate more than the Cheatriots. The zebras. I guess Brady was right. Harbs does need to read the rules since they seem to change between games. A guy is down and you can still take the ball as a fumble? A guy gets tackled and he can get up and run for additional yardage? Weird rules. To follow the thread; The good-the game was exciting and we were in it to the end The bad-the crooked cheating referees The ugly-the crooked cheating referees
  6. Of course. Every team that wins the SB has some measure of luck to get that far, either good luck for them or bad luck for the opposition, or a little of both. Because only one game is played per tier of the play offs, luck has more weight than baseball or basketball. Its just the way it is.
  7. Okay, I agree. They need good insurance. Whats that got to do with Shaub?
  8. That is exactly what I am afraid of. I don't know that this "shake up" will make much difference. Hopefully I am surprised.
  9. Tanking is for teams that want to be perennial losers, and that is not the Ravens. So the playoffs is history. The new guys can still learn to play like Ravens in the next 11 games.
  10. This team is just not very good. Poor coaching? Raw players? Lack of desire? The why can be argued, and will be, for weeks, but the truth is that they are a not a good team. We have some good players, sure, but we just let an complete unknown nobody get 450 yards of passing. That doesn't even happen to an average team. Mathematically, the season is not over, but rationally, it sure looks like it is. Short of some sort of miraculous event, we are playing for a draft pick.
  11. That is true too. It is very frustrating. Do the coaches not realize that on third down the ONLY thing you want to do is make that conversion?
  12. That always gets me. Third and "X" they need 7 yards and throw a 6 yard pass. They need 6 and throw a 4. Why bother? Fourth and 3 or 4th and 10 is still a punt and loss of the ball.
  13. He wasnt being compared to Reed, Smith or an RB he was being compared to a QB, Pig Ben. Much as I dislike Ben, he is well over 6 foot and has to have 50 pounds on Manzeil. And he is tough as rusty nails, and has some serious skill at the position. Manzeil isn't good enough to be a has been. Besides, Manzeil just plays small.
  14. A boy version? How about a half pint punk version. Well Ben is a bit of a punk too so....but Manzeil is what, 3 feet tall. He should be a jockey not a QB.
  15. Yeah but these.... supposed fans...only see what the opposing team is missing. Never what we are missing. Suggs, no receivers, rookie lines, questionable OC crappy DC., 1st round draft pick injured, TEs injured. Come on this team is as bad off or worse than any we have played.
  16. And that is coaching. Particularly the head coach. I do not what Harbaughs problem is, but he has to grow some manly bits and start telling these guys what not to do.
  17. Well, there was an elderly lady in the front row at the game wearing a purple dress that could replace Pees. And the guy next to her, the husband I and guessing, could replace Trestman. They couldn't do worse. And there a bunch of waterboys that could step up. we have lots of better options.
  18. I wish him well too. It would be nice for any team in that division to challenge the Cheatriots.
  19. Come on. Lets all be honest. Everyone here had this game down as a loss anyway. And we did pretty well almost pulling it out. There were some mistakes, and some weaknesses were exposed, but overall the defense did very well and the offense did okay considering who they were playing. Fortunately there are no more Peyton Mannings on our schedule this season.
  20. Much as I hate the Steelers, I can at least respect them. They play tough smash mouth football. Sure they play dirty sometimes, and their fan base has questionable intellect and parentage, but they respect the game and do not cheat (for the most part). The Patriots, their QB and head coach are scum. They have no morals, and no shame. I loath them. I want the Steelers to destroy them.
  21. Confidence, buddy. I like that! I don't know though. How could we possibly win? This is Denver and the unbeatable Peyton, after all. I hear he has never been a part of a team that has lost any game. Or maybe he has never been part of a team that the Ravens have beaten? It must be something like that considering all the fans that are predicting our demise at the hands of the Broncos. Come on, the Broncos have the best defense, the best offense, the best cheer leaders, the best hot dogs, the biggest parking spaces, the most comfortable seating...we don't stand a chance. They are not just another football team, with an aging QB, a new head coach, and a bunch of new players that are having their own difficulties. No sir. That only happens to the Ravens.
  22. Indeed. No one else even tried to pick him up. That is to Ozzie's benefit.
  23. I don't respect wishy washy people who try to placate ignorance. I don't have time for it, never have. Harbaugh is not arrogant he is confident and I respect the fact that he is not a door mat. And you're right, he doesn't care if you respect him or not, anymore than I do. Although I am aware that you likely do not care that much about my position either. Goes without saying. I think back to when Brian Billick gave a bunch of reporters a piece of his mind. I loved the way he refused to put up with their idiocy. Think about it. If it were you, and you had the chance to ask Harbaugh an actual question are you going to ask who he plans to use in the next game, or whether he is happy with sloppy play? We all know the answer to those questions. Ask something that 1. he can actually answer, and 2. is actually relevant.
