  1. We got guys like Pitta and Perriman coming back for us making plays. Terrence West fighting from an underdog position. Mike Wallace putting it on the line for us. SSS still fighting at his age. Terrell Suggs out there. Jernigan fighting for street cred. I love the way our team fought today.

I would like to see Flacco play more decisive and competitive. Holding the ball for 5 seconds is not cool.

I give Flacco and Suggs a pass, first time they have played a full game on both side of the balls, and you saw communication errors, penalties that Yanda usually doesn't commit, Suggs played somewhat tentative, and after a few games he will trust his Achilles and be his old self, and Flacco admitted there is work to be done, but some of the drives were very impressive....Holding McCoy under 100, Taylor throwing for basically nothing, we did a good job, as no one knew what to expect....Now we have something real to talk about....:)

  2. Its been a long time since i have seen the defense attack like that, and be so quick to the ball, great effort on the D held the bills to under 200 years total offense......Wright was a tackling machine....Now we have real game film to go over and correct some issues, but over-all i was very happy with how we played on both sides of the ball....Kudos to Orr, he really was solid, and Z had a solid game, and Judon has a motor, saw plays where he chased down backs from behind....This defense looked good, J.Smith look like @#R@R@# though....

  3. I trust Oz, and will take him over any GM any day of the week....His track record speaks for itself, we are a team that doesn;t rebuild, but reload, that is why it is rare that we miss the playoffs....So many teams would blame 22 IR'd players to a bad season, no excuses here, they just go out and draft, and trade for players to make sure we are not caught in that position....And Bam....It's been a long time since i have seen a draft, where the players drafted in the 4th, and 5th could have a huge impact on this years team....Dixon, Lewis, Henry,Moore, and Young, and then Judon from the 5th...And then Stanley who so many "who might not admit it now, weren;t happy" as they wanted Bosa or Tunsil...well Bosa not playing today, Tunsil starting at Guard not LT, and Stanley already picked as top rook LT.....So how many teams 4th rounders do you think will have the impact our 4th and 5th rounder will have this year??

  4. well, the whole ILBer/OLBer thing is really much to do about nothing, in a 3-4, all the LBers. line up inside or outside depending on the package, because in a 3-4 they are really lighter D-Linemen, in many ways, so KC not grasping the ILBer position is why he didn't do well is hog wash...Every LBer sits in the same meeting, and they all have to know what the others are doing, bottom line is he was not doing a good enough job shedding blocks from the mammoth 0-Linemen in the league, and he didn't get the kind of bull rush that Judon, and Z were getting with their pass rush, bottom line, he needs to put on more wight and keep his quickenss, as both Judon and Z at 270+ pounds are very quick for their size, and have the strength to bull rush, and set the edge....KC needs to add more weight.....

  5. Aside from Stanley, i think the picks from the 4th and 5th round will be the ones who showcase their talent, and that has been Oz's real MO, finding gems in the later rounds.....He has found players in the mid rounds for years, and i really think that is where the genius is, top two picks are always under the microscope, but unless you're picking top 10, it is a gamble, but people expect those late round 1st and 2nd picks to be top 10 type players, and they just don't always pan out that way, for most teams picking at the bottom of each round....

  6. Teams just can't play 8 in the box all the time, since we do have 3 legit deep threats, and so it might make life easier for the O-Line, it's just the exotic packages they haven't faced, is what the youngsters have to be careful with, and they will get help with Juice, or a TE....Right now its just a unknown, but we will have a much better idea around 4 p.m. on Sunday when the game is over....

To be honest, KC really didn't show me much, as Judon, Henry, and Pierce were consistent throughout the pre-season games, and Z.Smith showed great improvement from last year...On the offensive side i felt Dixon could be like a RR, great hands, and can run between the tackles, Moore's handles looked strong, as he snatched the ball, like Boldin does, and Lewis i knew would be nasty, and could actually be the answer at RT next year if Wagner signs elsewhere....JMO....

To spend a second round pick on a player then ask them to switch positions is just delaying their progress. It is difficult enough to make the leap to the next level without having to relearn a new position. It should really be a stretch goal to play another position. Either that or draft an ILB to play ILB.

Feels as though the potential he has is being squandered on making a project.

Also whatever was said to him about the intensity in the practices, please remind him on game day he has the green light to amp it up again. The guy obviously has the motor and drive to get after players, just safe it for the opponents not your team mates.

They drafted him as a pass rusher.
Trying him out at ILB was because we had an opening there.
It's not like they moved him from OLB to DB.
    Good grief!

you do realize the OLBer we usually draft are DE in college, because in a 3-4 you have to have 260+ OLBer, so to ask a player who is as athletic as KC to play ILBer isn't a tall order, but like most rookies, it's a process that takes time....No one said he wasn't going to be good, but the idea of having play ILBer was because we have a lot of depth with OLBer/pass rushers, and don't have the depth at ILBer, so that is why he was getting a lot of reps there, as that would be the best position for him to get PT.....Good grief.....

Good grief... that is what I said. They tried him out at ILB because there was an opportunity there.

    my bad, long day.....:)

  10. Oz has more than made up with some bad first round picks with gems in the 3rd,4th,5th rounds over the years......One thing Oz hasn't been terribly burned with, that other teams have is giving players contracts that really aren't worthy....Everyone knows the draft is a gamble, but players like Kindle, AB,Elam might have been misses, but they never took us to the bank.....And where we have picked in the first and 2nd rounds over the years which is closer to the bottom of the draft than middle or top isn't like picking in the top 10, like this year, and it looks like Stanley will be as advertised.....Oz is still the man in my book.....

  11. To be fair for those, like myself felt that Butler, and Brooks earned a spot on the team, is pre-season is the only time we can watch players and judge them....Because the starters hardly play, all we can do is judge the players who play, and Butler pretty much caught everything thrown his way, and Brooks was all over the field, both were consistent through pre-season, and camp....Now we all know if need be we can always snatch Butler off the the Bucs PS if need be, so thats always a good option to have....Brooks i have a feeling will get a shot with the Eagles, and that move i think we might regret, as he could play Safety, CB, ST.....Harbs always preached a more a player can do the better, and Brooks couldn't do much more, than be able to play all those positions....JMO....
