i do like the guys we signed to be groomed, they bring great size, i think Tray and the Kid from Okl. are 6-2....
Melvin with a full set of OTA's and camp will be much better, and i think he is the #3 going into camp...
All our picks were of need, or has a purpose for the next 2-3 years....Oz always has 1 eye on the upcoming season, and 1 eye on the future, and he hit out of the park....And the UDFA are just as impressive, got big Safeties, CB's, OLBer, and large O-Linemen....
Really don't have any questions until i see how they are on the field, or at least during OTA's...Smith for one might be worked out as a OLBer, since he is a tweener....I just think we got players that will work well in our system....Boyle i get, because they might feel his is a upgrade compared to the others, aside from Crockett, and Maxx, the others aren't sure locks...
We will have some more huh? picks, our scouting dept does a great job at scouting players that aren't house hold names....
I think Oz picks....BPA on the board when we pick.....
Torrey Smith still has deep roots in Baltimore, although he isn't a Raven, doesn't change who is as a person, and IMO he is a super stand up guy...Even Bisciotti was rooting for him to make the most money he could, because of the kind of person Torrey is, hating on him is wrong IMO....
Sami, the NFL site didn't even post the pick....We are hated, but that's okay, because we embrace the villain role.....![]()
IMO Gregory needs to put more weight on for a 3-4 LBer IMO ,6-4 237 i don't think would bold well, especially in the AFCN....We tend to play maul ball in our division, and you have to be able to bull rush the large tackles in this league....I think this guy could be a sleeper pick..Ryan Delaire, at 6 foot 4, 257 pounds, ran the 40 in 4.8 in front of scouts at Towson's Pro Day...
The only knock IMO, from watching some highlights on him, is he seemed to go down to easily, he has to use his size to his advantage more, and run over the smaller CB's, YAC yards will be huge for him if he can do that.....
He looked very comfortable and fluid running the crossing routes which is a plus, our bubble screen game got better, whats not to like....![]()
I'm really starting to hear more chatter from Harbs and the FO regarding Steven Means, prototype size for a edge rusher...6-3 260, convert him to a OLBer like we did with McPhee, and could have the ability to play with his hand in the dirt as well.....Will be watching this guy closely this year....
not sure why anyone is upset about this pick, all i heard over the last month was get Joe weapons, we need someone to replace Torrey's speed....We hit the daily double with a 4.24 40 guy who happens to be 6-2 212.....And the drops, they came early, he finished the season strong, and at his pro day he didn't drop a thing....Every player drafted has pros and cons, i happen to think this guy can be groomed to be a stud....JMO...
Great pick...wanted a edge rusher, but if we went WR, this is the type of WR i wanted, big and fast...extremely rare combo....
6-2 4.24 40, will stretch the field, and that opens the mid range routes which is the bread and butter for this offense....CB's can't load the box to stop the mid-range routes, or they will get burned with the deep ball....He apparently has the ability to run all the routes, and not 1 trick pony....Can be worked into the line-up slowly with the depth we have...The size and speed is a rare combo, will cause fits for smaller CB's....
Love the pick...
I think Steve's philosophy speaks for itself, i don't recall a player ever leaving with any bitterness towards the FO, and coaching staff....
He will use a formula to figure out his next contract once his rook contract ends...
If KO leaves Urschel is next man up at Guard...
yep figured it would be 2.5-3 mil 3yr deal...
watching Oakland playing anyone is what i call torture, so i would skip watching 15 hours of ball that day...ha ha ha....
well....if Goodell really wanted to sell it, he would schedule a Ravens-Pit game, if the fans saw the hate, and the brawls, they might be more keen to the idea of having a NFL team...ha ha ha....![]()
NFL Europe was the minor leagues for the NFL, which was fine, but not enough of a fan base to make it work, they will fold....I just think it is to much of a distraction for NFL teams to have to travel, and not really having a home field advantage which is crucial...If anything the Europeans should set up their own brand of American football, and take on the risk, and financial responsibilities...JMO
who cares Football is a American game....NFL Europe failed miserably so not sure why they are pushing this....
