The upside is he can be groomed, and not be expected to be our shutdown CB right away, always a luxury when players can be groomed and not thrown into the fire. For me ILBer is the position we need next, as Carl Davis, and Henry will be back after missing the season last year. also curious which Undrafted player we sign sticks out and makes the team....
I like both, but Williams has delivered on the big stage, which IMO is a plus....
Starting to really like Mike Williams in the 1st if he is available....Wallace probably gone next year, and never know with Perriman's knees....
If we could have kept guy i would have no issue with the Jernigan trade, hopefully Henry has a strong camp and can assert himself along with the others we have on the roster, but i think we will miss Guy very underrated player IMO....
Agree big time on Guy. He will be missed more than fans think. He is one of those players that is not talked about a lot, flashy etc. but he was very good at what he does. Some have compared him to Kruger but he is way better IMo.
I don't have any issue with the Jernigan trade only because there is no guarantee that he has a "ball out" year this year. IMO, we will get just as much production from Pierce, Henry and the others that will rotate in. I think we will be just fine.
Agree with Pierce, another diamond in the rough Oz found, he like B,Will both are pretty quick for large humans.....

Maybe find a stud LG in the draft, and move Lewis to RT...
CBA just makes it impossible to keep everyone, so when you draft players you know a few from every draft class will be lost when they become UFA. Just take advantage of them for the 4-5 years you have them. I do like Jernigan's game, and if he has another solid season, he will be gone next year, and if Pierce continues to improve over his rook contract he could be gone as well when he becomes a UFA.....Pats lose top players every year, but they win with stop gap FA signings.....seems to be the formula, sign must have players, and sign stop gap FA who can play really good for us for 2-3 years, and hope some players drafted during that time span, have been groomed to the point they can step in, yet only have a full year or two as a starter, which will make it easier to sign to extensions....
I think Flacco heard Aiken, as at the end of the season he seemed to look for him more....We have speed in Perriman and Wallace, what we need is a slot WR who has no fear running crossing routes.....I would have had no issue if Aiken came back....But lets give Moore a shot, he seemed to be pretty physical....our WR corp really isn't in that bad a shape, we have Mattthew's at 6-5, Camp who can be a tough to cover, and has shown he can run that jet sweep with success....draft BPO, and groom them...and sign a veteran ILBer....I also think Judon is going to be a beast this year with more snaps....
What a season Pitta had after missing the better part of the last two seasons, again he was a top TE in catches, yep i was impressed......
right now i think we are looking at the draft and post draft cuts for a proven vet as a stop gap for a year or two.....Then camp cuts, we have been known to pick up a decent player in the last two weeks of camp...but ever since Orr had to retire the ILBer spot has been a big concern for me, any losing Guy kind of irked me.....
Personally i think West will have a great season, last year was his first year as a split starter, and like many of the young players that got a lot of PT, they all will be better having gone through a full season with a lot of snaps....Dixon when his 4 gamer is over, again will give us a very nice 1-2 punch IMO....
i look for the post draft cuts, team selecting WR's, O-Linemen, LBers in the 1st round will leave solid vets on the waiver wire.....
Can't blame the Dallas fans for hating on Carr, when you give someone a 50 mil contract like they did, he better be a superman CB, but the deal we got for him really isn't bad, as it is a series of 1 year contracts that could be worth up to 4 years 24 mil.......worth it in my book.....
so many people hating on our offense, Flacco best passing year as a pro, we had the lead in how many games in the 4th only to have our DEFENSE blow it.....Yes we lost Wagner, but you have to say he was good when he was in, but has missed more games than i would like from a starter over the last few years...Our left side started with two rooks who more than held their own, and will only be better this year, having gotten so much PT....If anything i just think Center may be the one concern, if Urschel played LG, and move the mammoth Lewis to RT....
Didn't see this coming, but i love the move.....Not made of glass like Claiborne has been.....Webb still needs to be at the ready, as we never can count on J.Smith staying on the field for a full season.....
I also expect now that Doom is gone, for Judon to have a breakout year, he had a very solid rookie season in a very limited role.....
Urschel was actually drafted to be groomed to be our future center, but due to injuries he was forced to play both RG and LG, and center at times....having played all 3 interior line positions and his smarts i would like him to get the start and the opportunity to be our center...JMO
If we were running a pure zone-stretch blocking scheme, as we intended when Urschel was drafted, I agree. I think we are looking to add more power blocking schemes, which would require some bigger, more powerful dudes.
hopefully Urschel bulks up a little, but he is basically the same size as Yanda both 6-3, but Yanda weighing 305 to Urschels 300....But watch us end up with Mangold....

I think the WR position is really being blown out of proportion, we know Wallace and Perriman will be on the field, but lets not forget Chris Moore, and i think we do get Aiken back or Boldin as the gritty slot WR.....Camp if hecan stay healthy showed he can be productiv as well, with Woodhead seeing time playing as a WR as well....My concern is replacing Orr...
In a 3-4 th NT is the key, he caves in the interior line so the pass rushers can get to the QB. He was paid what the market called for, and we all know today's contracts are really about the guaranteed money, and i imagine like all the others it will be restructured a few times over the next few years...Jefferson IMO is the sleeper signing for us, he was the highest rated SS out there, but h is smart, understands the game, and has the ability to play the box, and cover, and only 25.....My big time hope is we sign a proven ILBer to replace Orr, a high motor will LBer who can play sideline to sideline, physical, and can be decent in coverage, losing Orr was a punch in the gut...
CB toughest position to play, and only very few rooks have lived up to the hype when played right away...Every rook CB will go through growing pains....Bringing Webb back to me makes the most sense, he know the system inside and out, and now has played all secondary spots.....With how our CB's go down bringing him back would be a plus IMO....And he is a heck of a leader who will tutor rooks...Bring him back Oz....
stinks, big fan of his...
Always been a Webb fan, he was a fearless tackler, and a team player.....
Keep Webb as J.Smith is made of glass, and much rather have a veteran who can play CB, then throw a rookie CB into the fire....

We need to see if KC can handle the ILBer spot Orr left open, and do so quickly....If he doesn't seem up to the task, we need to sign a stop gap, Thats the only concern i have on D...
