  1. Dupree is polished talent that will have a great shot at starting in Pit, Smith is raw talent that needs grooming....
  2. I expect Smith to be worked into the rotation, but not rushed into it...He has a heck of a player in Suggs to learn from, as Suggs plays upright, or along the D-Line with his hand in the dirt as well.....Because we do rotate our front 7 a lot, he will have a chance to play in certain situations to get his feet wet, but we didn't draft him the 4th round with expectations of him being a McPhee from the get go, course he might, but that's not what the thinking was when we drafted him.....
  3. If they want to make the game a little harder, reverse some of the rules they have put on CB's....
  4. Just ask Cundiff how important a Field goal kicker is.....
  5. It will be tough to keep FA as teams have often over paid our players, and for the most part they haven't lived up to the big money elsewhere...Can only hope Tuck, and KO see that...They will be offered fair market value i imagine, but Oz won;t over pay, like other teams have done....
  6. The team has a villain reputation, as we hardly get props in the press, and anything negative gets blown out of proportion...Yet...We just keep on winning, and that can't be denied...
  7. Sam Koch makes 2.5 mil,and is a FA next year, so that kind of money could slide over to Tucker...Tucker likes it here, and has a nice following, but we will see what happens next year....
  8. Flacco's contract is enough respect for him....Seriously though what makes Flacco so awesome, is he isn't a diva, and he doesn't allow polls, or negative opinions get to him, he is Joe Cool....
  9. Yanda has been nothing but fair, and i think if a offer is fair in his eyes he will sign....I really want KO re-signed, but i just don;t think we can afford him, but he is a O-Lineman that plays nasty, and i love it.....
  10. Piece to me was a disappointment, the job was handed to him, and he never was able to get the reads down straight, and many times hesitated....In a zone blocking scheme, once you see the hole, you have to burst through it, and not get happy feet...Maybe a change of scenery will kick start his career, it just didn't pan out for him here....
  11. I really hope he turns out as advertised, Pierce was a huge disappointment.....Forsett is going to be grooming and mentoring him over the next few years...Really anxious to see him play in pre-season...
  12. They say the secondaries best friend is the front 7, i hope the youth we have really step up their game this year.....If they can pressure the QB into bad throws or get a ton of sacks we will be a top 5 Defense.....
  13. Right now we look solid on paper, but as usual they have to live up to the teams potential on the field...There is no doubt the rest of the AFCN is worried, we really hit every position via the Draft, UDFA, and FA.....Hurry up training camp....
  14. Melvin was my #3 before Arrington, really think he did a great job down the playoff run, and playoffs...Brings great size, and showed he can tackle....
  15. I think what Flacco may mean is the offense should run smoother, having had a year of the zone blocking schemes under their belts, and with the routes pretty much staying the same, with Trestman adding a twist to it....Joe has really only cared about 1 stat, and that W's, an L's....Just get us to the dance....
  16. Flacco is a vet at dealing with new OC's....
  17. Way to early to really speculate, only sure thing is Harbs won't put him out there if he feels he can;t do the things we would need him to do as a pass catching TE....
  18. Coaching staff is holding his real progress close to the vest, as i am sure they don't want to get to excited....I'm sure drafting Maxx, and Boyle is pushing him....If he is medically cleared, would love to have him playing, would allow Maxx, and Boyle to be groomed a bit, although i see Maxx getting plenty of snaps regardless.....
  19. Next man up....that's how we do it, we bump up the next guy in line to take his spot....
  20. I think we will resign Upshaw, because he doesn't have flashy sacks, he won't cost us a ton, and he will be entering his prime.....Doom is basically a pass rushing specialist, and if Upshaw ups his game, i expect more sacks....Arthur has a opportunity to be inline to replace D.Smith if he steps up, but i think DePriest will give him a run for his money...Also i think Brown needs to add more weight, 235 is a tad light for a ILBer, and i know Mosely came in at the same weight, but i bet he bulks up as well....JMO....
  21. Upshaw actually is the starter, Doom comes in on passing situations, and obviously they don't know our depth chart at OLBer, ever after drafting Smith we aren't very deep....Suggs, Doom, Upshaw, and Smith....any other OLBer is more of a ST player and a emergency fill in....
  22. Honestly he will never get the punishment he deserves, although the balls would have not changed the outcome of the Colts beat down, the fact he cheated in such a huge game can't be over looked....And i think Goodell handling this is great, he is daring Brady to lie in his face, it's not so much the phone he wouldn't turn over, as it is the witnesses.....
  23. whats up mearzunkies?? Where did all the fellas migrate to, since espn blog left us...ha ha ha....
  24. I think Elam will be improved, but he will have to win the job, and not have it handed to him...
  25. I think it is clear, with Brady and the Pats organization fighting this thing, only shows more guilt....You would seriously think, since the punishment was handed down, Brady would step, and prove his innocence, to not only exonerate himself but the organization, but he isn't, so that kind of tells me he is guilty....
