  1. Sad it ended up that way for him, i really loved watching Pollard play....
  2. Pollard was beast mode back there, i was wondering if they would consider bringing him back if they felt our safety position was so thin, which i don't think it is....
  3. ncraven44, it would be nice to have a OC for more than a year or two, i hope we are considering grooming asst OC's, like we do players....
  4. Another thing Flacco gets little credit for, adapting to new OC's, and making the offense work...
  5. How can you not root for a guy like that, very humble and thankful for what he has accomplished so far....Great speech Buck..
  6. rmjacket, never known a organization being okay with losing draft picks, if they feel they are 100% innocent, or at least contest it for a lesser punishment..And a black eye does matter, no owner wants a tainted image for cheating....Many Pat fans have voiced their disgust of him throwing in the towel, after he ranted about how innocent they were....
  7. I highly doubt Kraft fell on his sword to try to get Brady a reduction in suspension, for two reasons...First, most FO would gladly sit a player out for 2 games if Brady's suspension was reduced from 2 games instead of 4 for the draft picks they lost...Second, the Patriots will be around a lot longer than Brady's career, and the black eye that organization will have for years would have been worth fighting for if he felt they were 100% innocent of all the accusations levied against Brady, and the Organization....
  8. Time will tell if Tannehill was worth 96 mil, and 45 mil guaranteed, but for me with his best year being a 8-8 season, i would have waited another year before i shelled out that kind cheddar...
  9. Trevorsteadman, i believe they had a 5th year option on Tannehill, i probably would have waited to see what he did this year, just a big commitment for at this time a average QB....
  10. i see a lot more goal line stands in practice this year....This takes the fake FG out of the equation for extra point attempts...
  11. IMO, Brandon Williams is the key to our D-Line, in a 3-4 the NT has to have the ability to cave the interior line, or at least get a good push, if doesn't do that, or get the constant double team Ngata got, we may see more of a 4-3 defensive set....Losing Ngata might be viewed as a subtle move, but he did so much in the trenches....Brandon has the opportunity to really shine this year...
  12. I understand why people think the Safety position and pass rushing positions are thin, we have rookie replacements or FA signing to replace players we have lost, or wanting to upgrade, and until we see them in action it will be difficult at this point and time to have a clear cut conclusion of where we stand at those positions....We have to wait until they put on the pads, and pre-season games to see how they play in our system....
  13. Schefter is a tool, no innocent man takes the high road when draft picks are taken, if anything you fight the good fight, and try to lessen the punishment whether your guilty or innocent, he threw in the towel, and is taking the full punishment....
  14. Only thing Tannehill's contract did was give Flacco a little more leverage when he will be asked to restructure his deal....Can't belief the Fins are giving this guy that kind of money for zero playoff wins...
  15. If the team gets a penalty on the extra point, can a team then change its mind and go for 2, and have the ball placed at the 2?
  16. It's going to stink that the mind set is looking at 8 points as a score versus 7.....Teams will get 6'9 WR specialist for 2 point conversions....
  17. Going from the 2 to the 15 is a big jump, Tuck can handle it no problem, but i do see more 2 point conversions tried in bad weather....
  18. Well Tucker is going to have to earn that paycheck with extra points being as long as a lot of FG's.....
  19. On paper we look like a top 5 D, but the reality is we have a lot of young faces that will be put into the defensive rotation this year, so before i rank the D, i want to see them play some pre-season games as a young unit....
  20. I think it will be a big test, Ngata has been the core of the D-Line for a decade, he had the ability to play DT, and NT at a all pro level.....I'm interested to see who steps up, hard to replace a freak of nature...
  21. We could use Pitta's experience in the beginning of the season, seeing how brutal our schedule is....Would diffidently take pressure off of Maxx...
  22. Upshaw is playing his role to a T....Starter who sets the edge, and steps to the side on passing downs....Excellent backside speed, and strength to shed blockers to get to the runner....hopefully we resign him, plays like a Raven, and acts like one...Team Player...
  23. I think our LBer corp and secondary look good, very interested to see what our D-Line will be like over the course of the season without Ngata, yeah we played well without him for 4 games, but we were a better team with him....Gonna miss the big fella, but like anything else, you move on....
  24. Personally i think we are kind of lucky he isn't beasting it as a sack master, it should make a contract doable....And if Smith pans out, they could be our bookend OLBers in a few years...And if DePriest does what i think he can do, 3/4 of our LBer corp could be Bama players down the road....
  25. I really hope we resign Upshaw, he doesn't get the press he deserves due to no sacks, but he is a beast in the run game, and is actually the starting OLBer opposite Suggs, as Doom is used basically as a pass rushing specialist....Very underrated OLBer who does the dirty work, and never complains....Plays like a Raven....
