  1. We do have other O-Linemen on the roster than the ones that are always mentioned, one is Wesley who did get decent PT last year and is big at 6-7 326, also i think it is more than just looking at LG backups, truth us Yanda is 31 and has maybe 3-4 years left in him, and like Oz always does he has one eye looking into the future.....Also need a solid backup for RG, as Wagner who went down before, and Yanda moved to RT, and Urschel moved into RG.......
  2. I think every OTA, Rookie camp, mini-camp, and training camp the NFL has reps on hand to over see the activities...
  3. Personally i think he signed knowing Flacco is out until at least training camp, so he has OTA's and mini camp to either have scouts look at him, or film he can send to teams.....Anytime a player gets on the field who is a long shot is just trying to get other teams scouts attention......JMO.....
  4. I admit i was high on him, but wasn't aware of the condition of his shoulder....Another reason why i trust the FO when it comes to drafting players, they do check medical records of all players they might have interest in, and that weighs in on who they draft, especially in the top 4 rounds,....JMO....
  5. Surprised we didn't take a look at Mettenberger, kid has a strong arm, and didn't play horribly in TN., he just played for horrible teams.....
  6. Flacco probably won't be ready until camp, so having another qb for OTA's and mini camp makes sense..
  7. Oz is doing his due diligence, making sure that almost every position on both sides of the ball have enough players to compete, and who ever wins jobs with all these players at all these positions will have earned it...I think the FO felt we might have played soft, and wants to get back to playing like Ravens mentality where every player has to fight for PT, and truly earn a spot....I like it...
  8. I will wait and see about Powers, AZ secondary gave up a lot of yards against good QB's, i think BB had a 500 yard game against them.....But it seems we have stockpiled in the back field, Secondary, and WR spots....should make for great competition...Will be hard to find enough PT in pre-season for a lot of bubble players....
  9. Oz always has 1 eye for the now, and 1 for the future, truth is Yanda is 31 and might play 3-4 more years, we will need to find a potential RG and groom them....And i think we have a few on the roster, Urschel, who played RG when Yanda kicked out tot RT when Wagner went down, Lewis seems to have the potential, Wesley who is a monster at 6'7 326......
  10. Wessley is another big bodied O-Linemen who will be in camp, and got some PT last year
  11. If he has that kind of potential, then letting Monroe go June 1st, and use the freed up money to get Tucker and B.Williams signed to long term deals.....
  12. OK, but when will we see him? I'm thinking sooner rather than later, i see a lot of RR talent in him, he can run between the tackles, run the bubble screens, and wheel routes with ease.....JMO....
  13. After the draft i felt that Judon, and Dixon would make a impact, aside from our top 3 picks this year, sticking with those two making impact plays......
  14. I would love Canady and Julian Wilson to make it both bring the size i like in CB's with Wilson being 6-2 and Canady at 6-1....Young brings the swag and nasty with his game, Davis looked solid before he went down....Powell not sure of only because i watched the AZ secondary get torched a lot last year, i think BB had a 500 yard game against them....And Arrington has to have a superman camp or i see him gone.....JMO.....
  15. The competition is going to be insane at the CB position, we have a lot on the roster so far.....
  16. I was a Marlon Brown fan, and it really did stink to watch his play decline, was hoping he would give it his best, but obviously he failed his physical, so we move on....
  17. it is illogical to think that just because players have money they will abuse drugs and it is ridiculous to think that if they smoke marajuana they will become drug dealers. Marijuana is rarely addictive and when people do get addicted it, it is a phycological addiction rather than a physical one. What is truly addictive are pain pills which are opiates like heroine. People would be much better off if they prescribed medical marijuana and did away with those addictive pills or as some like to call it heroine for the suburbs. But my main problem with your statement was the progression from people who have a lot of money, to marijuana abusers, to marijuana dealers. So your thinking it's okay to prescribe one drug that does alter your functional levels, for pain meds that do relieve pain for serious injuries, and trust e i know all to well about pain meds, as having had 4 back surgeries from playing sports, the withdraw i went through after taking so many pain meds hurt more than the back pains, so i am really anti any kind of drug that can affect people in a negative way.....And if you seriously think i meant all players with money would resort to exploiting this, well then you missed the point i was making ,as it was towards players who have failed multiple drug tests, and who have been arrested for smoking.....
  18. "and if you have money you will find ways to get more than prescribed, and then they will end up selling the stuff, and we all know where that leads" absolutely ridiculous statement, such an illogical progression. really??? and so many have been arrested and suspended for buying it illegally, so if they can get it prescribed, what makes you think they won;t find a way to exploit it???? Do research on drug addicts, although marijuana isn't like Heroin, it still is a drug that is addictive......Have many friends who literally smoke all day everyday, and they actually can't function without it, just as some may know alcoholics who actually function better drunk than sober....
  19. IMO, it just sets a bad example for kids as we teach them that drugs are bad, and whether it is for medical reasons we still teach our kids say no to drugs.....Second of all, these guys have to much time and money in the off-season and will find ways to get in trouble over using it, and if you have money you will find ways to get more than prescribed, and then they will end up selling the stuff, and we all know where that leads....Just do research, and find another drug, that is a prescription off the get go, and not a illegal drug...JMO.....
  20. He hasn't failed a drug test yet to no need to blame him for anything. I think Eugene is actually a very smart guy. Just because he funds research for medical marijuana does not mean he is a stoner. I do agree he is very smart, and intelligent, and has shown he is much more than just a football player. He thinks for himself, and does follow up on issues he believes in......He probably is a June 1st cut, but it really wouldn't bother me if we kept him, as i would like to see him play a full season with no injury issues...
  21. Monroe is also getting his excuse ready if he is a June 1st cut, he will blame his cause as the reason why......:)
  22. Well....the list would be pretty long with players who would be doing back flips if they ever passed that....Like.....Josh Gordon.....
  23. Excited to see what Julian Wilson brings to the table, shame he got hurt before camp last year....
  24. Could haves and should haves should be looked at the end of the year, no one knows which rookies will be as advertised.....Yeah, i liked Jack a lot and would have liked to have drafted him, but i have a lot of faith in our scouts and FO as well as the medical staff in making the decisions they made on the players we drafted........Way to early to say if we made a mistake on not picking a player, or the ones we picked....
  25. i'm looking at two position with my eye on next year, with players that might be shelved on ir for next year.....SSS last season, and IMO Forsett might be as well...We are pretty loaded at WR and RB so it will be interesting to see who comes makes it out of camp....To me Dixon could be our primary back next year, as he can do all the things RR did, run and catch, very excited to see how it all unfolds....
