  1. Lewis could be a option, he is nasty, and played LT at Neb.
  2. it goes towards the comish's bonus at the end of the year....:)
  3. You don't become a Playoff contending team year in and year out, unless you have discipline, accountability, and responsibility...IMO One of Harbs greatest traits as a HC, he preaches it, and won't tolerate players who aren't prepared, or put in the work.....And this is also preached for off-season expectation from our players.....It really shows in the (so-called) bust players like Elam, and AB, if you don't play to his expectations, he will bench you and put a player in who wants it more....
  4. Consistent teams don't rebuild, they just reload, and find players to fit the system that has been a proven system over the years.....Not only do we lose solid players to FA, we have lost solid coaches, so it's a testament to the system, and coaches for continuing to find players that fit it....Next year we could lose a few more solid players, i just hope one of them isn't B.Will, extremely difficult to find a true NT...
  5. I just see a lot more 3 wide sets, with various combinations, we have a lot of talent at the WR position this year...Moore can also stretch the field, and if we have healthy TE's, it can be a very tough task's for defenses to defend the packages that we could throw in...
  6. The NT is the key to any 3-4 D, the job isn't to get to the QB but to disrupt the O-Line so the DT, and OLBer have lanes to the QB.....He has done a great job caving in the interior O-Line.....I really hope we can find a way to keep him...
  7. I really am not to concerned about the line, Urschel has had a tons of reps as a starter, at both Center, and both Guard positions, getting a healthy Zuttah is big, and i wouldn't sleep on rookie Lewis, guy is huge, and has some nasty in his game....Honestly even though we went 5-11 last year, i think the coaches did one of their best jobs, and the players who were forced into action stepped up, so easy for teams who went through everything this team went through to throw in the towel, and just ride the season out, but they didn't they were in almost every game, and never gave up....That is why i think they will be so much prepared, and not afraid to throw players in, if starters get injured, because they got all that real game experience...
  8. The way i always look at a kickers value is by how many games he has won for us, and Tucker has won a lot of games, not to mention the game winner that really set the tone of winning the SB a few years ago.....Its a what have you done for me lately league, but i am betting on Tucker making many more GW kicks for us......
  9. I said it in the last blog, it was all about the guaranteed money, 16.8 with 10+ guaranteed sets him up for life, anytime you can get more than half of the money guaranteed you did good.....
  10. Tuck just needs to relax, the FO has always been fair in paying players they want, and i bet the issue is the guaranteed money......He just wants security that comes with that guaranteed check.....:)
  11. I think the coaches and Oz are willing to give the guys on the roster the opportunity to win the job, at the same time with us finally having some cash, we could certainly go after a camp cut...I like Orr's size and weight for a ILBer, he has thumper size.....
  12. Pay him now, NT is the key to any 3-4 defense, and he his a space eater.....
  13. I'm in favor of him making it, love the 6'0 to 6'2 guys.....
  14. i hope at least one or two 6'1 CBs make it, i like big CB's....excluding J.Smith of course as he is a starter...
  15. You can never have enough solid CB's, and if he pans out great for us....There is a reason the top CB's get paid big money, high in demand, and hard to find....Love his size and attitude, and really hopes he can be something special in the near future....
  16. That list of banned substances must be long, if a player drinks some organic tea, they could test positive it seems.....I honestly don't think so many players are even aware, as so many have been suspended so far, and knowing the league has a tight leash on this, it's hard for me to think they all did something purposely...JMO....
  17. Another advantage for Reynolds IMO is having played QB, he has had to be able to recognize coverage, on passing downs, and i think that is what made Hines Ward successful, he always had a good idea of when to break off routes, when to take a route inside or out, and Hines was as tough as they came as far as taking on contact....Reynolds has taken more than his fare share of hits as a option QB as well....I'm biased because i always love the military, especially Navy, although my son is Army.....:)
  18. Both are local so i root for both, but like i have said before, Reynolds vision as a runner, and his ability to pick up the offense, and be a decent route runner so far just gives him the edge IMO.....I could easily see him as a 3rd down back as well, and line up as a QB, just to mess with defenses minds....
  19. Pretty sure Flacco will be restructuring his deal in a few years for cap relief...Seems to be the way they handle franchise QB's contracts....Just like we knew he would od it this year, knowing the 26 mil he was supposed to get was never going to happen....
  20. Bottom line is what team wouldn't pay a QB Flacco money for 3 AFCCG, 1 SB win, Most playoff road wins, and only missing the playoffs twice in his career???? Haters gonna hate....
  21. Being doubted is the Norm, and this team has always been good with that.....This team thrives on it....
  22. When the pads come on,, and full contact takes place, we will see how this all plays out...I am more concerned about seeing how the guys like Suggs,SSS,Flacco,Forsett come back from injury....
  23. I totally get it with Reynolds, being a option QB, he really was a RB who could throw the ball, when you run as much as he did, you have to have that vision that coaches talk about in terms of RB,and PR......I actually envisoned him as a 3rd down type back, but obviously he has impressed with picking up the offense as a WR ,and his route running has been pretty good....He is a very smart guy, and i think in time he can become a solid slot WR......And if it doesn't work out for him in the N.F.L, he will be a tremendous officer in the USN.....Either way he is a winner in my book...
  24. Crocket was in his second year also. No knock on Gilmore. He's a stud too. These two are the future TE's of the ravens. What impressed me so much about Crockett was he was drafted to be the blocking TE, but showed in year 2 he was so much more...I loved how he never avoided contact after the catch, and wanted to deliver the blow instead of taking it after a catch....
  25. Maxx played well, but before the injury Crockett was beasting it last year....
