  1. Some take "In Ozzie we Trust" way too far. All called for offense in their mock drafts - now they're saying how GREAT this draft was. At least until we start playing and we're still crap in all the areas we were crap in last season! Too funny really.

I wanted to get Bishop Sankey (wouldn't have gotten him that high), Devante Adams, ASJ, Amaro, Allen Robinson, Lache Seastrunk, but sadly, it didn't turn out that way.

Wanted Sims. Really pissed off with the RB we got

    4. BmoreBird22

      BmoreBird22

Well, unless you wanted Sims in the second, you can't be pissed because it's not like they passed on him in the third.

  2. Today the Patriots single handedly destroyed the honor of the Lombardi & tarnished its image. On top of that, they have destroyed any meaning that SB MVP held by awarding it to Tom Brady after a 2 INT game. Shameful.

i totally understand what ur saying and ill agree that qb's get the most recognition for SBMVP by default, it takes a huge effort from any other player to take it away from a qb who throws for more td's than int's. but i thought when you watched that game, it just appeared that edelman was the best player on the field, and some will look at it and say edelman carried brady, others will say brady carried the team, im of the former group lol

    3. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

I guess my point was that if Flacco had done exactly what Brady did - you can bet your bottom dollar he would not have received that MVP. Jacoby would have. Brady got that award because he is Brady despite the fact that he threw 2 INTs which were the primary reason they needed that 4th quarter comeback.

    4. pechillo

easily the best status I've ever seen regarding the patriots after the Super Bowl. Especially the speculation they bring up every in the playoffs playing the ravens. They are a disgrace to football in my opinion.

  4. Perhaps we need some articles with historical content when I see someone suggest #19 as a jersey number for a rookie. Then someone else say they don't see why not. And 5 up votes. Depressing.

      Alaska Alaska!

I don't know if there are any good premiere tackles left in the draft that won't be development projects. Outside of the draft, Eric Winston is still available and we also have to at least see how Wagner or Reid hold up. We can throw in the towels if we see that those guys suck. But there's the chance that they can be solid.

  6. The fact that Pees is still here this morning makes me question the FO for the first time since the Cam Cam days.

Jim Schwartz is not coming here unless he's going to be defensive consultant. No body hires a defensive coordinator during the regular season . I don't think Dean Pees will be fired today either

  7. Hate to see the Panthers in the SB: Cam is arrogant & a show boater, the defense is dirty & gets away with it & it is going to suck for SSS. Go Denver!

And for the record, Cam didn't rip down ANY banner. A panthers fan dropped the flag to him, he threw it. Seahawks fans got pissy, nothing unusual there.

    4. MissRay27

      MissRay27

I disagree. I haven't seen any dirty play, except hard hitting and good tackling. As for Cam, what's not to like, he plays football smart, protects himself, a good leader [learned how to win] and has fun. Don't dislike him because he's winning and" not grabbing his crotch". Truly I have a real dislike for Elway, #18 and the Broncos. LOVE my Ravens, but Go Panthers!

  8. What I Learned Today: Our season is over, the entire team are thugs cuz of one man, below average defensive play is now not only acceptable in Baltimore but applauded, we have zero chance to beat the Steelers, Joe Flacco is garbage no matter how many wins/records he has, there is a conspiracy around every corner. RavensFanMania

He's more suited to be a drop back QB and a much better fit for Jay Gruden

It's very disheartening. Especially to get our hopes up with creative play calling & letting Joe loose during the playoffs. Only to jar us back to Earth this season and make no changes after how it went down.

    4. runamuk

      runamuk

maybe some changes are coming . I'm hopeful next year , with a good draft we right the ship. but they need to agree on one offensive scheme and all coach the same or we get bi polar offese again

Bottom line for them was they realized that even if a quarterback can lead a subpar postseason defense to a Superbowl (gee, I wonder what kind of QB can do that), it's not going to be Peyton Manning.

  19. say what you want but I am already prepared for some lopsided officiating on Monday. You know they want Brees to be that 3rd one to beat all 32 teams.

Not rigging - and not even the NFL per se - but if you think those refs don't have preferences and biases you're kidding yourself. Everyone does. Imagine yourself as an official for a Ravens game - you'd try to objective, you'd want to be objective - but do you really think you'd be 100% successful? you're awfully naive if you believe that. These guys are fans too.

    3. rmcjacket23

      rmcjacket23

Yes, and some of the refs may be Ravens fans too... ever consider that? Ever consider the possibility that Saints fans are saying the exact same line... "gee I hope the refs don't screw us".

Not like the refs of tonights game are all born and raised in New Orleans or anything like that. In fact, I'd almost guarantee that none of them are.

I think its incredibly naive to think refs actually officiate a game that way...

    4. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

A NY, a NJ, a Mass. a California, a Georgia, and Alabama. That's where they're all from tonight. And yes, i've seen games officiating in our favor before. Many here like Hochuli. he's tough but he's fair they say. Well 3 members of his crew are from MD. Wonder if that's a coincidence.

    4. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

Defense over offense if you're at least solid on offense. If we learned anything from the debacle that was our offense last year - you can't continually ignore it and expect to be competent if players get injured.

@joeyflex It's hard to see anyone being better than Odell. He really had a historic rookie season. I agree that that this draft has more depth, but I'd take Jordan Matthews over anyone in the second this year.

    3. JoeyFlex5

      JoeyFlex5

i was obsessed with jordan matthews last year, but i certainly like both dorsett and agholor more. and that ones up for debate but man amari cooper is just so good, he is like the cj mosley of wr's, football just comes so naturally for him and there just isnt one area where he doesnt have elite talent(maybe besides his height)

  22. Since we're probably stuck with Pees, better give the offense all the off season love because they'll have to be putting up 40 burgers or more regularly to advance anywhere meaningful.Pees doesn't understand "clutch" defense.

We run off zone. That's what we live and die by. Levine and Webb would get roasted in press. I doubt Melvin could do much better. With Jimmy in there, this game is a different story.

    3. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

you can run zone without being 10-15 yds off your man. He made zero adjustments in the 2nd half. Yes, I understand he went press man a few times and I know we gave up one TD that way and if memory serves, possibly another. I get that part of it. I don't get sending Suggs/Doom off the edges rushing Brady once they committed totally to the dink & dunk and the ball was out in 2 seconds. Drop one into coverage. Do something. He did nothing. He made no attempt to change anything. If he had...

    4. ravensnick

      ravensnick

Doom and Suggs don't exactly make their money in coverage. I firmly believe trying to change something to much could have backfired from the unfamiliarity of it. It's not like Pees is Cam cameron. Pees did a great job with waht he was given. With that secondary, we were still top 10 in red zone defense and 11th in overall.
