  1. The part of my job I like the least, editing and rewrites, will consume me for awhile so, see everyone at Draft time! :)

  2. Every year at this time: The Boards go crazy as people leave. NFLN declares the Ravens done. They've lost too many pieces. ESPN says we're no longer a playoff team. Then, Ozzie does his thing :)

ravens fan sing doom and gloom more than the talking heads, i swear, every single year we do this, and a majority of the fans act like the eagles fans are acting this year. have you all not learned yet?

I just read we're expected to have 12 picks. Dang! Can't wait for the draft.

i have a feeling we are absolutely gonna nail this draft, and with our cap situation looking solid for next year i think we will be set for another 4-5 year run at bringin home some more hardware

  3. Goodbye to Torrey & Jacoby. Thanks for everything & keep that ring shiny! :)

  4. Reliving through DVD our 2012 SuperBowl Run. I wish we played football year round lol

  5. I dread this time of year. I hate watching players I love leave, even though some expected and understanding the business of it. Jacoby, the first casualty. Best of luck Jacoby. Thanks for everything.

  6. Today the Patriots single handedly destroyed the honor of the Lombardi & tarnished its image. On top of that, they have destroyed any meaning that SB MVP held by awarding it to Tom Brady after a 2 INT game. Shameful.

i totally understand what ur saying and ill agree that qb's get the most recognition for SBMVP by default, it takes a huge effort from any other player to take it away from a qb who throws for more td's than int's. but i thought when you watched that game, it just appeared that edelman was the best player on the field, and some will look at it and say edelman carried brady, others will say brady carried the team, im of the former group lol

      ravensdfan

I guess my point was that if Flacco had done exactly what Brady did - you can bet your bottom dollar he would not have received that MVP. Jacoby would have. Brady got that award because he is Brady despite the fact that he threw 2 INTs which were the primary reason they needed that 4th quarter comeback.

easily the best status I've ever seen regarding the patriots after the Super Bowl. Especially the speculation they bring up every in the playoffs playing the ravens. They are a disgrace to football in my opinion.

  7. Mosley gets snubbed.

    1. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

He was consistently better than Donald and came on earlier than Donald. The only thing Donald has on him are those 17 tackles for a loss they're raving about. Mosley was the overall better player.

I'm fine really. Well keep playing in the playoffs while the rams still keep losing

If the Spygate scandal is a barometer the NFL offices are figuring out how to make this go away with as little damage to the shield as possible. Translated that means covering up as much as they can.

2nd time they've been caught red handed under Belichick, they deserve worse than just losing a single pick and a fine. But alas all that will happen is they will pay off a ball boy to take the fall and thats all they'll get.

  9. Okay, Flacco declined the pro bowl in favor of family. Cool. Still confused by Trestman over Gase after hearing everyone's thoughts on those two candidates.

    1. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

I like that he was a QB & a QB coach. I don't like that he seems to have a reputation as being soft and relying on the short game. It just isn't one of our strengths really. Then someone else said he liked to chuck the ball downfield - so conflicting information.

    2. Willbacker

      Willbacker

Lets just say he did wonders with Scott Mitchell in Detroit. Remember him. Also Rich Gannon won an MVP under his guidance. Plus I don't think he'll be looking for a HC job anytime soon so hopefully we can have some consistency.

Wil backer has legit reasoning. After all none of us voted proxy. The ones in the FO make the decisions. We are on the outside looking in

  10. After talking to everyone, don't understand the Trestman hire over Gase. Plus, Dalton named to pro bowl and not Flacco???? Ridiculous.

Flacco was named, but turned it down.

  11. buh bye Kubiak. Thanks for sticking to your word like a man of integrity ...oh wait...Thanks for waiting to interview on a holiday weekend so you could drag it out for 5 days! That was sooooooo considerate of you! Whatever. Sorry Joe & the offense. Keep on hanging in there.

It is what it is. He's there. He did it for his family. Its a business. Loyalty is still practiced in the fan base and military. We go on. Now Mr. Trestman will be the hot seat target for many of you.

  12. Every year I forget how much I hate offseason. Then I am rudely reminded lol

Just waiting for March 10th where the real fun begins

  13. Dear NFLN & ESPN, Just a reminder, that Joe Flacco went through Peyton & Brady on his way to a SB MVP before Luck. Oh and he did it AFTER beating Luck. Just seems like you've forgotten that while you act like Luck will be the first to take down those 2 QBs if he wins this weekend. Sincerely, A Ravens' Fan

Your correction has to be sent to the proper sources.

    2. JoeyFlex5

      JoeyFlex5

you know flacco will disappear from the media and suddenly luck will be the first qb to do this that and the other. next year joes just gonna come out and do his job and then break records once the playoffs roll around and all the hype will swirl again

  14. Ravens & Rice settle money dispute - our ties to Rice are officially cut now

    1. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

yeah figure that as well. Don't think the settlement has anything to do with his cap hit.

    2. JoeyFlex5

      JoeyFlex5

we guaranteed him a certain amount of money, a guarantee is a guarantee, and those guarantees werent on the cap hits previously, so they have to count against us at some point. i see no possible way that we avoid the 9m cap hit

    3. stampedehero

      stampedehero

He's out for sure. The money will be a hard pinch. I hope he plays in the National Conference I could see him in SF.

  17. Just pointing out that a TE, both Safeties and a CB that made the All Pro Rookie Team were all available when we picked. Just sayin'.

    1. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

I do, but then, I don't. Would have burned Pats fans to no end if Peyton came in there and ended their season.

      playlikeawhat

Peyton's done but I think he'll try to chase his brother's second ring for one more season. Wouldn't be surprised if his ailing body gets carted into retirement next year.

  20. Since we're probably stuck with Pees, better give the offense all the off season love because they'll have to be putting up 40 burgers or more regularly to advance anywhere meaningful.Pees doesn't understand "clutch" defense.

    1. ravensnick

      ravensnick

We run off zone. That's what we live and die by. Levine and Webb would get roasted in press. I doubt Melvin could do much better. With Jimmy in there, this game is a different story.

    2. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

you can run zone without being 10-15 yds off your man. He made zero adjustments in the 2nd half. Yes, I understand he went press man a few times and I know we gave up one TD that way and if memory serves, possibly another. I get that part of it. I don't get sending Suggs/Doom off the edges rushing Brady once they committed totally to the dink & dunk and the ball was out in 2 seconds. Drop one into coverage. Do something. He did nothing. He made no attempt to change anything. If he had...

    3. ravensnick

      ravensnick

Doom and Suggs don't exactly make their money in coverage. I firmly believe trying to change something to much could have backfired from the unfamiliarity of it. It's not like Pees is Cam cameron. Pees did a great job with waht he was given. With that secondary, we were still top 10 in red zone defense and 11th in overall.

  21. Two 14 pt leads blown. 15 yds off your man when the opposing team is using dink & dunk. Zero adjustments to a team not even pretending they are going to run the ball. Pees is NOT DC material. We go nowhere until he is gone.

    1. Alaska Alaska!

      Alaska Alaska!

Like any other coordinator could've done better

    2. ravensdfan

      ravensdfan

The defense of Pees is old. This is the same defense, with the same issues we've had every season since he took over. The personnel doesn't suck every season. We don't have 19 guys on IR every season. Even after we won the SB in 2012, the same discussions about Pees going on. Reed & Lewis saved him then. Now they're gone and it's showing.

  22. Gameday! Let's just go beat those Pats!

  23. Congratulations Ravens fans! Oh Tommy boy! Here we come!

  24. We have got to win this one game. We have got to bring all we've got & take this one game against the Steelers. A Lombardi in our future will be grand, but if that is not in the cards - we have got to win just this one game.
