    Perhaps we need some articles with historical content when I see someone suggest #19 as a jersey number for a rookie. Then someone else say they don't see why not. And 5 up votes. Depressing.

      I don't see what numbers have to do with respect. That's just silly. That's like saying that the franchise is disrespecting OJ Brigance by giving 57 to Mosley. Is that disrespect? No, and it's idiotic to think so. Never got the big deal about retiring numbers.
