In three days hence, these doors will close
No longer here will we find repose
Sweet farewell to all members here
Each in their way are held dear
When other forum doors we knock
We will remain this Ravens’ Flock
So travel safe and well my friends
Sadly all good things do meet their ends
I’ll close with a line we’ve all heard before,
“Quote the Raven, Nevermore”

You think they'll be FGs? Tucker better be hitting 80 yarders lol
Just now, hn68wb4 said:I'll help you out. Didn't look hard did ya? I'll be waiting for that apology
I will apologize since perhaps I misunderstood what you were saying in that post. . "I said BEFORE that we should have gone offense earlier" I took to mean you were claiming you had already said that in a reponse. Which you had not , to me at any rate.
So I do apologize for the misunderstanding there. I still never implied nor stated that you made any claim regarding the offseason and the offense being in a great position.
Quit now. Don't let this offense ignoring FO take you down with it.
Just now, hn68wb4 said:As opposed to you? you've continued to misrepresent my opinion from the start with your delusions. I said we should have gone offense earlier - you ignored it and kept pushing your "you think we're fine on offense" message. I listed off how I thought we should have been more offensively minded in free agency - you responded that I agreed with Ozzie going all defense. You are just going around the thread and seeing what you want to see, no sense in arguing with someone unable to be objective.
I quite literally went back over an hour of all your messages to me and none of that occurred. There was no mention of Wagner at all. Not in a response to me in any case. No mention of going offense earlier. This began with your list of what was still available and YOU saying what good talent was still available. If I missed a message that stated any of that, feel free to post it and I will apologize. I think you answered someone else and think you responded to me.
Just now, arnie_uk said:Going to enjoy watching the defense this year. If they don't perform I will enjoy watching them under a new coach and co ordinator next year
I hope we get to enjoy watching them. Because it's doubtful the offense will be on the field very long.
Just now, hn68wb4 said:Now are you going to deny that you implied that's what i was saying? I didn't say that would be the injection our offense needed to make it good. All I've said is that we have a history of finding linemen mid/late and you ran from there. I never even implied that these late round picks would make our offense even serviceable. What's illogical is discounting an entire draft when it's not even half way finished, but you don't seem interested in "admitting" that
Never did. And you know it or you would have posted it.
Sorry Ozzie does no wrong in your eyes.People are allowed to question his decisions. I don't know why you're getting so bent about it to be honest.

Doesn't matter, so why not?
4 minutes ago, hn68wb4 said:Again, where did I say the offseason was great and our offense is in great position? I said before that we should have gone offense earlier in this draft, in the offseason I pushed hard for Tretter and Garcon, I said time and again that we should sign Wagner over Williams. The only one ignoring anything around here is you. You have convinced yourself that I said something I didn't. Feel free to look back at my posts from tonight, feel free to go back farther and it'll prove to you what I'm saying in this comment. Do you just want to be confrontational because you don't like the way our draft is going? perhaps that's a sign that you should sign off and go to bed.
How about you show me where I ever said you said anything of the kind? I only said you keep going on about going offense in the late rounds like that will be the injection they need instead of admitting this is purely illogical given our needs and losses. Considering you're the one losing it, I'd say you need some sleep.

Yep a strategy that has given us a mediocre offense at best for all but one year and had us miss the playoffs the last two years. It is a stategy that either no longer works, or our scouting team needs gone.
Just now, hn68wb4 said:Nice pivot, where did I say the offense was the best ever and never needed any help? I've literally said that we need linemen and that we have shown the ability to get starting caliber linemen mid/late. Something else you're choosing to not recognize, but that's your problem, not mind.
So we grab in O lineman late and pray? Great strategy.
Nice ignoring the fact that this is ridiculous. It literally makes zero sense. Admit it, there is zero sense in this FA & draft and ignoring the side of the ball that lost the most during the off season and wasn't a powerhouse before it took those losses. How does that even make sense?
1 minute ago, hn68wb4 said:And he never will show the ability to be a starter if we hamstring him and never throw him into the fire. He was the 4th target on the depth chart last year and got 500 yards and 3 TDs, with some highlight reel catches. Eventually, you have to start the guy you invest a 1st on and we're going to do that this year with Perriman. He shown plenty of the traits of being a starting caliber WR, you're just choosing not to recognize them.
Of course we aren't looking for a starter, we have a 1000 yard WR in Wallace and Perriman is getting the start opposite him, it was never a question unless Corey Davis was avaiable at 16 and there was never a chance that he would be.
Well he won't get 1000 yds this year if Joe is on the ground. The offense lost the most in offseason, and the offense underperformed during the season. But yes, let's go all defense in FA AND the draft. Perfectly logical lol
Just now, Cville-Raven said:There were maybe two legit #1 type guys in this draft and they both went in the top ten. One even went in the top 5.
We made no attempt at help in FA either though. I hate that picking up WRs on their last legs in FA crap, it's beyond old, but there were some decent options.
2 minutes ago, Grapple Raven said:I wonder if Joe was hinting this would be a defensive draft when he said in the presser that he would continue to wear his knee brace this upcoming season and we didn't need any more WR's, lol.
Joe better wear a knee brace on both legs and as much extra padding as is allowed.
1 minute ago, hn68wb4 said:Didn't say there were many good WRs left, said there were lots of great linemen left. But there's plenty of solid WR options there and we're not looking for a starter, just a sure handed guy for over the middle and there are a few guys in that list that qualify for that job.
We're not looking for a starter? I mean, we're not now lol But seriously, Perriman hasn't shown anything to definitively say he's a legitimate #1. I like Wallace a lot, but he isn't a legitimate #1 either.
The offense needed an injection and they're going to wind up getting two aspirin.
4 minutes ago, hn68wb4 said:Honestly people are being a bit ridiculous there are still some good linemen left.
At center we've got Toth, Guillermo, and Orlosky.
At guard we've got Asiata, Morgan, Johnson, Isidora, Siragusa, and Cooper.
At RB there's Perine, Gallman, Mack, Hill, and Williams.
At WR there's Ford, Reynolds, Brown, Hansen, and Switzer.
We're ok, don't panic until the draft is over. There's plenty of talent still to be had mid-to-late in the draft, and Ozzie and Co. have shown time and time again that they can find talent there.
Not so much target talent they haven't shown that at all. Defensively, even offensive lineman, I get what you're saying. But WR, no.
Just now, GrimCoconut said:I wonder what the team was saying when they said they wanted to build an OL like Dallas. I don't see that commitment here.
I don't see a committment to even attempting to keep your QB upright, let alone a stellar OL.
Just now, PuRock said:But they did address the Defense. They drafted Watt in the 1st. We actually have a gripe, we have four picks and have yet to touch the offense.
Plus did not address the offense in FA either.
Guess we're going picking through the garbage heap for offensive help that Ozzie promised.
1 minute ago, PuRock said:Well if Pees fails. They are all going down with him this year. Ozzie and Harbs must figure that the D is the best path to salvation.
I don't know why they'd think that, nor why this would seem to indicate it, since that isn't how it played out any other year they gave Pees' the world.
1 minute ago, hn68wb4 said:No I mean what I said, I don't want to go defense anymore, so hopefully I jinx it
Doesn't much matter now. Can't surround your QB with "projects" from rounds 4 or later, 80% of which never pan out, and expect results.
2 minutes ago, PuRock said:Deep defensive draft. So everyone else reaches offense and Ozzie can't help himself. We are going to end up with all defensive picks. I wouldn't bet against it.
And the offense will be garbage again, and everyone will blame Flacco instead of where the blame belongs, on Ozzie. And Pees will still play 10 yd cushions and the defense will still give up 4th quarter leads, and everyone will blame it on some obscure injury to one player instead of where the blame should be, Pees. And so the world turns as it has since 2012 lol
Just now, redrum52 said:Top 10 pick spent on OL and last 1st was on a wr. You can't say they don't try. As far as Pees, we won a SB his first year at DC. When his guys are there they are productive, regardless of how you feel about him.
We won a SB with Reed & Lewis on there to coach up the others. And even then they nearly lost that SB giving up a 28-3 lead.Since, the defense has done nothing and everyone makes excuses for him.
Oh we tried one draft so go us lol How many have we devoted to defense in Pees' time here and STILL the defense is not reliable?
