  1. It matters little as Pees just came out and said the defenses problem is finishing games! lmbo Of course, in true Pees fashion, he threw every player on defense under the bus and said it was their fault.
  2. Yep 2014 was the best year regarding the lack of 4th quarter collapses. Know what else was true that year? A fairly potent offense. Which is what I've been saying about Pees forever - better give the offense the love because they'd best be scoring with his 4th quarter D. Still, that is one season out of five.
  3. I'm sorry, you're correct. We simply tied the game up and promptly let them march down the field. My mistake but really supports my argument and not yours. Ah so now we've moved beyond the "Jimmy was out" excuse to include any offense worth anything. Exactly. Which means they are NOT performing.
  4. Three? Yeah, no lol Oakland Giants Patriots Steelers We held the lead in all those games in the 4th quarter. And that is just the losses. Jaguars, we won. And I guess we're not counting the Eagles' game that if it meant anything at all to them they'd have kicked the EP for the tie.
  5. But the statement was that the defense was tired & worn down. If they're on the field for 3 seconds, they still aren't tired and worn down are they? Perhaps the offense is tired and worn down from watching the defense piss away 4th quarter leads, ever think of that?
  6. That has what to do with the worn down, tired excuse? If the other team is getting a one play TD, then the defense is still not worn down and tired are they? Besides, the opposite has been true for the most part. The defense is giving up 7,8,9 minute drives.
  7. It wasn't "a drive". It was 21 pts. in the 4th quarter. Certainly some of that is lack of execution but defensive collapses in the 4th is not a new thing since Pees came here. 21 pts. They could not even hold them to a FG with only 78 seconds remaining. There is definitely fault at the feet of the coordinator when something like this is a trend and not an anomaly. Every Ravens' fan groaned when the offense scored - because everyone of them KNEW this defense wouldn't hold and they'd left Pitt too much time. What does that tell you? That this sort of defensive collapse is now an expected thing. Five seasons of this - five. Different players have come and gone (some have moved on to have success after being called failures and taking the blame for Pees). At some point, the truth has to be admitted - the only common denominator is Pees.
  8. It is difficult to actually separate our needs from coaching. As an example, if we retain Pees then our offense needs to be high powered. That would mean that OL & WR become priorities. If we cut ties with Pees, depending on who the replacement is, then those needs might fall down the ladder. Is Marty staying? Because that then would have an effect on the type of WR we might need. Here are our needs in no particular order: OL Passrush CB(s) WR(s) C Do we draft or use FA? I mean, Harbs seems somewhat not inclined to use rookies other than on ST unless absolutely necessary so, don't know that answer either.
  9. Cannot stand all the Steeler love everywhere! May have to ban myself from the internet & any local stations. Please let them lose the 1st round!

  10. True but they can't wait forever and a day like they did when we needed a new OC. They waited around and then most everyone was already snatched up. It needs to happen Monday.
  11. Um all his "emotion" and leadership didn't stop the defense from collapsing. Dang. There had been talk he might do one more year. Expected but still sad.
  12. I'm not on the fire Harbs wagon however, if we go all out this game and starters go down with injuries - especially serious ones - then he should be gone.
  13. Okay sorry - came in the middle of the convo. I also meant to say "1 of those 3 years" lol
  14. Which proves he's an idiot - something I've never said about him. This game means zero to Cincy or us - not even like we'll play spoilers. All a win here does is hurt our draft selection.
  15. Harbs is on the hot seat next year for certain - but I think he's safe right now. My assessment on Harbs is this: he is a good HC with a history on special teams. I believe he relies more heavily on his coordinators in that respect & if he is the one making hire decisions on coordinators - he just isn't good in gauging that talent. I'm fine with Marty getting one full season to put his mark on the offense - but Pees has already shown over 5 seasons that he isn't the answer. Friend or not, John, it's time to move on and do it NOW. Not wait around until any good choices are gone like we did with the OC position.
  16. Ed Reed & Ray weren't coaching up the offense so their leadership isn't missed on that end IMO. And 3 of those years Joe spent over half on the sidelines so kind of have to throw that one out. He was horrible the beginning of this season, but he was recovering from a serious injury and in watching him I truly believe that played with his mentality. He looked like he was seeing phantoms out there, but he improved later in the season. I also think playing with a leg brace all year had some effect as well. But having any discussion at this time, for this year, for this game that involves some lack in Flacco is absurd. This loss is a pure defensive collapse period, 21 pts in the 4th quarter, one with just over a minute to play and your offense just gave you the lead - again. Flacco came through in the clutch - this defense & Pees failed - again.
  17. He's a protected entity with a lot of posters here - after all his injuries are the Pees' crowd favorite excuse. That is kind of blown if he isn't the bomb. lol
  18. Partly we ignored it for a long time & secondly, we honestly just aren't good at scouting WR talent. Maybe we need to bring in someone who is. I'm okay sorta with giving Marty another year to institute his own brand of offense. You meant if we can find a new DC right?
  19. You act like this is a new thing. Again, 5 seasons, same issues, same excuses. This really doesn't have a whole lot to do with the pass rush when Bell went through them like butter as well. Pees just isn't the answer. Period. And we'll get the same old story - blown leads and going nowhere - as long as he is here. That is just already proven.
  20. I am not one advocating for his firing but lately he just sounds like Charlie Brown's teacher to me.
  21. I hope you enjoyed the game despite the outcome.
  22. lol That game means nothing.
  23. You mean what began his campaign to move the Colts from Baltimore? Yeah that's smart. I don't care how you get there - carrying a 10 pt lead into the 4th you should win the game. Not to mention, the D also gave up that easy drive in the 1st to give the Steelers 7 pts. Not to mention, the offense also gave them yet another lead after they squandered the 10 pt lead - and they couldn't even hold the Steelers to a FG for OT. Not to mention, this isn't new. This is what our defense does in the 4th. lmbo Are you serious here? Trent Dilfer?
  24. Pees being gone should be a conversation and a decision by tomorrow morning after tonight and the last 3 weeks and the last 5 seasons. Should be an automatic and if it isn't, it will be another season of almost ran.
  25. And a couple penalties that negated gains.
