That's because your defense shouldn't completely disappear because of ONE GUY> That is just an excuse for Pees. If Suggs goes down, oh it's not Pees' fault the defense is garbage. If Jimmy goes down, oh that isn't Pees' fault they give up 4th quarter leads routinely. Except that it is a trend since Pees came here. And no one wants to admit it. Offensively it is because we lack any playmakers at all because we never seem to draft any in the last 5 or 6 years.

We only had 7 picks this year. Not our usual plethora of picks to be able to trade up and not hurt us in the long run.

There are very few teams that I can compare our offensive weapons to and not feel depressed.

Yeah, shame there isn't anything like the internet and video to watch footage of the picks so without the opinions of those in the specified section they could form their own opinion. Seems cool for YOU apparently since YOU are the one who decided that only those who actually posted in a specified section have a right to an opinion. Enough about Humphrey . Who is on the posters' target list today?

I kind of averaged things because we got Bs, B minus and we got a few Cs as well. SI for one. I did not however, see one C minus lol

The Ravens received a B minus for the pick. Not a C minus. Many had him at late first rounder to early 2nd rounder so whether you like his talent or not, we reached at #16. Top 20 picks should be immediate impact players - or at least with that obvious potential - because we all know things don't always go as they seem. Humphrey is not an immediate impact player. Potential, sure. Immediate starter? Don't think so. It was a reach. Three years from now it might be a reach we're glad to have made, but I don't see him bringing any immediate help in the upcoming season.

He's welcome. But even if Jimmy Smith 2.0 is true, we're talking 3 years before he has an impact . Just like Jimmy. You know, just in time to claim the big bucks while getting nothing but ST time for our #16 value. We have a lot of solid players on our roster. What we lack are any impact players. That is what first round picks are supposed to be. Immediate impact players. This pick is not that. That doesn't mean he isn't welcome or no one sees his value. It just becomes about the value we did not get for a #16 pick.

Well goodnight all. We have plenty of "solid" players. What we needed were playmakers. Humphrey might be a decent pick, but I don't see a playmaker there. Our offense is our biggest area of need and we've done nothing for it in FA and nothing for it now either. Not seeing any offensive talent that can be called playmakers either. Guess it will be the same old, same old. Disappointing.

Not into college ball so highlight reels and board opinions are what I've got. However, the general concensus beyond a few is "an okay pick". Not exactly a ringing endorsement for a #16 pick.

He knows how to give up 4th quarter points? Doesn't look like a Top 20 prospect from highlight film to me. But I don't watch the college games.

Every year I am told to be optimistic about Pees. Every year it is the same. Not saying it's their fault the offensive talent went early. Just saying another year of mediocre on the offensive side.

I have three thoughts on this so far: Another year we don't give Flacco any playmakers. More talent we give to Pees to watch him fail. Then again, we really are crap at picking WRs anyway.
