  1. Thank you. I thought it was just me. VERY Steeler-centric in this coverage.
  2. Awesome! Merry Christmas everyone & Happy Gameday.
  3. Browns get their Christmas present.

  4. Welcome back! Long time , no see. I can see our teams being close for the drafting success - though I think you guys kill us when it comes to drafting WRs.
  5. We swept them so we also beat them in Pittsburgh.
  6. Sure he is. That would have essentially put the game out of reach. It's aggressive because we run it 3 times and don't get in - what do you call that? Conservative play calling. Calling that pass is definitely being aggressive in that scenario. I mean if you don't call keeping the ball on the ground conservative - what would be considered being conservative in that situation? Kneeling?
  7. I have no idea if we manage to make the playoffs or not but we can beat anyone when we're on point. The talent is there. I don't see the field this season and think ...well, don't know that we could beat that team, they're just too dominant. I'm beginning to think the coaching staff - from Harbs on down - just need to get out of the teams way.
  8. Yes it is. But before this week we wanted them to stop settling for FGs. Now we want them to settle for FGs. Just sayin'. It was an aggressive playcall. That's what everyone wanted. Be aggressive. I don't know that you call it greedy. Everyone screamed about the offense not playing conservative and put the game away. A FG would have made it a 2 score game but a TD? That put it pretty much out of reach. I disagree with the playcall - just to clarify - but there is no pleasing people. If we run and kick the FG and lose by 2 pts - they'd just be here complaining how we settled for the FG instead of being aggressive.
  9. We got it on our own 39 and our own 34 on those turnovers on downs. That's good field position - it isn't excellent. Facts say they had a 59 yd drive for a TD - so going after someone for a difference of a yd is being disingenous. Facts also say that after the offense had a scoring drive of over 5 mins the defense promptly allowed a 7 minute scoring drive by the Eagles. I guess they were tired from being on the sidelines. They also gave up nearly another 8 minute scoring drive. They were also given (yet again!) a 10 pt lead into the 4th quarter. Thank the Eagles for going for 2 there and throwing the ball rather than running it. They also got gashed for over 169 yds on the ground. 128 yds were all Matthews. So they literally couldn't find one man and stop him. Not surprised you forget to mention those things. reply to your edit: Regarding the 11 pts - so you're now blaming the offense because ST allowed a 22 yd return on a punt? Because that would be the short drive for a FG. Or are you blaming the offense for not driving down and scoring when pinned deep inside their 5? Because if you expect the offense to perform under those conditions, then you must expect the defense to perform on the other end.
  10. I truly don't HATE the call. We've been clamouring for the offense to keep the pedal to the metal around here. Flacco should know better than to throw that ball. If it's there, fine, if not, throw it away and take the 3 pts. It was a boneheaded play period. It happens. I know it's hard to believe, but I've even seen Peyton, Aaron and Brady do it too! I know, shocking.
  11. Matthews was just running right through them so it just felt like 60 or 70 yd drives. The defense forced 2 punts in the first quarter and not another. Furthermore, when one drive was 79 yds (ending in a FG) and another was 59 yds (ending in a TD) you're being pretty disengenous making the claim that the ONLY 60-70 yd drive ended in a FG. Please. The defense couldn't get off the field to save their lives despite the fact that the Eagles handed off to Matthews 90% of the time- and it certainly was not the fault of the offense.
  12. Well at least you're pumped! Ravens better get their heads on straight and come out strong. As for our coordinators - on both sides of the ball - they'd best leave it all on the field. None of that playing not to lose garbage because this is IT.
  13. I did think of a good thing besides just that we won. Our offense actually ran a pretty good 2 min offense at the end of the half.
  14. I don't know but next week is it. They'd better come with better on all sides of the ball than they showed today. I know the INT took 3 off the board, but that wouldn't have put the game out of reach. Especially not with how the defense played today. Eagles had to drive the field. That's on the defense. I remember an Oakland game where the offense put up over 30 & everyone still said it was the offense's fault we lost. That's how it goes around here.
  15. We don't win if Flacco doesn't throw an INT. There is some crazy stat for that. It was a boneheaded INT and play call at that point in the game. However, it was deep in Eagles' terroritory. No different than a punt. Not the offense's fault the defense couldn't get off the field today. They scored one TD off of a TO, the fumble. They drove down the field for the second one.And if we expect the offense to drive down and score from inside their 10, then it is not unresonable to expect the defense to perform with the opposing offense inside our 10. This isn't a good team. No way we should be running 3 straight downs without gaining a yard. Sorry Marty, that was conservative. Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy conservative. The Eagles were handing off to Mathews 90% of the plays and the defense still couldn't get themselves off the field. This is not a top defense. It is an illusion.
  16. Okay so he did get promoted I guess. Scary - the unknown lol
  17. I don't have a good feeling about this game. Prove me wrong Ravens! P.S. I don't believe I've ever heard of that Referee Crew lol Did he get promoted?
  18. I actually had no idea who had said it. I can see the lane you're speaking of but, I just don't see that he gets even 2 steps before there's a Patriot there to flatten him.
  19. But someone said Flacco had plenty of room to scramble for a big gain.
  20. lmbo Don't know why coordinators ever get fired then right? Since nothing is their fault or responsibility.
  21. Yes we agreed on that - but, still, who exactly is responsible for coaching the defense?
  22. After the safety, with Jimmy playing, the Pats were having their way. 300 yds their way actually.
  23. It was in response to Pollard's post about having to coach now that Reed & Lewis are gone. So again, exactly who would be responsible for that on the defensive side?
  24. What defensive star are you holding accountable for their crap the bed performance?
  25. Except that - whose job is it really to coach the defense? Just saying.
