We got him a computer & paid for his internet for a year last Father's Day. The man programmed computers, fixed them, took them apart & rebuilt them for 30 odd years but apparently email is too complicated for him LOL

  5. No they did not leave their starters in outside of one or two guys. That is not true. As for the WRs, those are the guys Tyrod works with and practices with. If anything - he should have had the timing down with those guys outside of perhaps Jacoby.
  6. No problem. I would have no issue being proven wrong in my assessment of Tyrod either. He's there every day, puts in the work and never complains. He's just not allowed to have a successful day if his future team is playing the Ravens.
  7. To be fair, Mili wasn't suggesting that Tyrod was better than Flacco or should become the starter over Flacco. He's just a fan of the kid and believes on another team he can be a successful QB in the NFL. I happen to disagree. No big deal. People are entitled to their opinions.
  8. Depends on what you mean by down. If you only need a back-up to win a few games until your starter is back - then you're not done for the season. Certainly there are those rare instances that a back-up rolls in and performs above all expectations, but in reality - your back-up is there to get a few wins and keep you in the playoff hunt if your starter is out for a couple weeks.
  9. Yeah I realize it isn't the be all and end all (completion percentage) and that all QBs have those games but when that is your average on the season, it does say something about your accuracy. No, it isn't all his fault but in the reps he has gotten here - I've not seen anything from him to suggest that it was all the system either. The same folks here touting Tyrod are the ones screaming the loudest when Flacco has a completion percentage under 60%. The logic is missing and it makes me nutso a bit I guess. I like watching Tyrod play - I think he's a great athlete - just not a great quarterback. Nor even a good one in NFL standards to be honest.
  10. Last 2 years of college his completion percentage was 56 and 59.7. You and many here have crucified Flacco for being under 65. Tyrod is not accurate.
  11. There is a difference in those QBs and many of today's mobile QBs. It's called actually being able to pass with some sort of accuracy. Tyrod just does not have any accuracy passing the ball, sorry. You can go all the way back to his college career to prove that a fact. You can get away with that at the college level and be successful. Not so much in the NFL.
  12. After 3 years of 2 part-time jobs, I've finally managed a full time gig. Now I will get to watch all the games live from start to end. I'm excited!

  13. Actually, if any amount is bagged (more than one bag) you can be charged with intent to distribute, a felony charge. Not only that, intent to distribute can be charged and convicted with pretty circumstantial evidence.
  14. There is this and also, it wasn't a discussion of last year's disappointment. It was a question about keeping 3 QBs, etc etc etc. In other words, specifically about back-up QBs and Tyrod's future. So he didn't call him out - he answered a question.
  15. Thank you to all the men & women who serve or have served and their families. Happy Memorial Day!

  16. You're correct. The only fitting punishment for Irsay that I see is that he has to return the logo, name, colors and history of anything to do with Colts to Baltimore. That would be fair.
  17. Well certainly if the claim is pics - she's going to have to produce them. Just having such doesn't mean what she claims it to me though - still could have been a consenual thing. Mostly it's the timing for me though. This supposedly went on for a year but she waits until now to file anything.
  18. Not an arrest nor even formal charges yet but just was like - wow, really? http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/browns/2014/05/23/johnny-manziel-lawsuit-insanity/9484571/ Don't know about this one - since the woman is not answering calls, doing talk shows, engaging the media - find it hard to believe it's about publicity.
  19. After some research, I'm warming up to T. Brooks - not saying he's the next Ed Reed or anything crazy - just warming up to him.

He's my favorite of this year's draft picks. I think he's going to be a baller.

@Mili I think he'll get the playing time but I hear you though. No playing time until year 3 - then gone in FA. Not really getting our traction out of our rookies that way. I agree there is only one Reed & Lewis - but they can be Reed-like and Lewis-like right? :)

@Ed_Reed20 I hope you're right. I wasn't crazy about this pick but the more I read & see - the more I think my initial assessment was incorrect. (cuz I'm never actually wrong :) j/k)

      Militant X 1

I absolutely agree that they can be "Ray and Ed-like" as long as they are coached up and allowed to get on the field and learn from their mistakes. As far as Brooks? This kid is a beast! He gave my VT Hokies fits. Lol! I'd love to see him and Elam on the backend of our defense.

  21. Every pick's a pro bowler & future HoF player. No one should dare to question Ozzie blah blah blah lol That was what I meant. I don't mind Gilmore too much because we did need that TE with blocking skills but I felt it was a reach. I just realized you don't like the only offensive player we took early lmao I don't like Brooks, well not really don't like him - just don't think he's the player at FS Ozzie talked about adding & pretty much promised. And IMO we passed on such a player. I'm still concerned about RB & CB. Not to mention RT. I know everyone keeps on talking about moving this player or that player if Wagner struggles ( didn't he already struggle mightily last season?) but relying on a line shuffle mid-season doesn't instill a lot of faith to me. I mean, it wasn't even that we went defense as much as we drafted 2 positions we drafted last year and didn't even truly fill our needs on defense. We'll see how it all plays out. Kubaik is a great upgrade at OC but even he is limited by the players available.
  22. Not true. I made one tongue in cheek comment about him not being a wizard but a man. And as such, he does make mistakes. In other posts I even said that he is great at what he does - but that didn't mean he doesn't ever make mistakes. As for the Flacco comparison, most criticisms are fine. It is the over the top people (we all know who they are) that get bashed because they are nonsensical. And certainly, with them, the Flacco supporters enjoy going over the top the other way. Considering all the whining that went on last season about this offense, all the pre-draft talk how we needed to go offense and all the offensive talent that was there, it is amusing to see some turn on a dime. At least most of the Flacco haters are consistent. They criticize him even when he does play well. The last post wasn't even about the draft per se - it was the very cult nature of the post I responded to.
  23. I wouldn't go higher than a 3rd for him - only because of his age. Certainly losing McPhee wouldn't kill us - but I'm not willing to throw Torrey in for him. I was thinking more if we could fleece them like we did the Jags. Have them eat most of his money and restructure what remained to get his cap hit down to manageable. Sure it's a fantasy - but it's a nice one for the off season.
  24. No one has said incompetent. (ok there is ONE guy, but he's been calling for Ozzie's head for a year now). What was said was he is not infallible. If you'd actually read the entire thread you'd know it wasn't even about talent. Not even necessarily about this season - but down the road and throwing vets at the end of their career at the offense while the defense gets all the top picks. Honestly this entire bowing down at the altar of Oz & lynching of anyone who even questions anything about the draft is ticking me off way more than ignoring offense in the draft. It's over the top and ridiculous. Especially since we clearly saw evidence of his mistakes last season. Oh I can agree. I've been reading & watching anything I can on him because it was actually one of the picks that I understood. Even though I thought we reached for him a bit. It's tough to really know about his route running & separation when you only really get highlight film though so I can only go by what I've read about him. Fact is we did need a TE with some blocking skills. While his blocking might not be up there with Bajema, from what I can tell he should be more of a receiving threat. I was. The vent had become more of a discussion really. I don't like those who think anyone who doesn't conform to their opinion should be shunned, stoned and run out of town. It's just one of those things.
  25. It's the off season - fantasies are healthy as long as the lines don't get blurred. And I wouldn't be dragging Santa into this or you'll find dog poop in your stocking. (coal is no longer allowed - pollution and all that jazz).
