Nice post. We are sooooooo inept at passing. You'd think, with a strong-armed QB like FLacco, we'd at least try to push the ball downfield. 6 or whatever yards per attempt is last in the league. Does not add up (make sense). THROW THE BALL !!!!!!!! Right?

We always seem to get burned by a top-flight WR. Wether it's A.J. Green, A. Brown, or OBJ. I know Smith missed half the game and that's when OBJ got going. If we're playing a team with one of those awesome receivers, we're going to be losing the game unless we score every time 7 POINTS, not 3. I really do think we cannot afford to only get 3, it cost us vs. the Raiders in a 28-27 loss, where we had 2 FG's and they had the extra TD (4 on the day). I'm sure we will lose if we're not scoring TD's almost every time on our opponents side of the field. I don't blame Harbaugh for going for the TD. He was going for the win, we just didn't execute and really, you need to throw at least once in a series inside the 5 yard line. You certainly cannot risk running on 4th down. I disagree with not throwing it at least once and I didn't like the execution (blocking up-front), but I do not disagree with Harbaugh giving the PLAYERS a chance to win the game, I know some disagree with this, but at least if you don't make the TD, their starting from their own goal line and most likely will end up punting anyway.

YES!!! He is not a selfish player at all but knew that was the best chance of actually scoring a TD. I was going to write that. Anyway, worse than that, we might have thrown an interception that went 99 yards the other way and got them a TD right away. I guess 6 points is all you can lose on one play. Anyway, someone could have gotten hurt on the offense, you get the idea, we're very lack-luster on offense as Flacco had a horrible 7.0 yards average per completion. I would love to say he threw for 300 yards and 4 TD's at least a few times before this year is over. I must be dreaming!

I'll say it 'cause I didn't read it here, but I think the Ravens had 10 passes in the '0 to minus 4 yard' range. I kept watching those check-downs and they were giving us those plays, hoping we were stupid enough to try to move the ball that way. I'm not calling us stupid, just that you might as well run the ball an extra 10 times than throw 10 plays that net 0 yards for an average.........gosh!

You might be on to something here. The fact is Flacco was exactly at 7.0 yards per completion. I checked Phillip Rivers' stats out over at ESPN, and he had a gaudy 17.1 yards per completion and 4 Touchdowns. Flacco had 30 completions, while Rivers and the supposedly awful 1-4 Chargers was 21 for 30 on passes. I think we lead the league with the most passes in the '0 to MINUS -4 Yard Range'. Over a 7 minute span, I think we had 8 completions that averaged 0 yards, crazzzzzzy. I say we throw 20 passes of at least 10 - 20 yards in the 1st half next week and see if we, at least have the 'Potential' to gain yards and actually MOVE the ball down the field.

The stats have shown over the years, that the Ravens do a lot better with Sizzle on the field. Even one person can make a big difference, good for him!

I think if we took more shots at 25 + yard passes, we'd have scored even more. You're going to live and die with your QB and you're going to lose more games if you don't give him a chance to score more. We won, and only scored 13 points!?!?!? Most teams would have wiped us out if we played that way. I hope we're ready to go for it more. I don't know if we'll need to next week at Cleve., but I hope we're hitting our stride by the Oakland game. After all, they gave us a close loss last year. I hope we go for it more.

Could his luck be any worse, I feel terrible, very sad for him. Sad for Ravens fans too. I was looking very much forward to see him get a second chance at showing his speed and skills. So sad for him.

I had some concerns about signing an ex-Steeler (for 4 years), but after reading the news today about this, I have to say, I'm pretty stoked about it. I really think Flacco will take advantage of his weapons at the receiver position, TE's included. Now, we might even be able to keep pace with the likes of Cincy and N.E., and could even match-up better with those rival Steelers (though we did beat them with and without Big Ben last year. We're finally netting Veterans, which I've been saying we need to do. You cannot win on young talent alone in this league. We're having a most impressive offseason, '16.

It's a good singing, one less DB we need to draft.

Rowdy Roddy White would be nice to add experience to our WR group.

I've been leaning hard on Hargreaves from Florida. I also like Bosa and Myles Jack as 2nd or 3rd options.

I'd be very happy if we got a lot of INT's this coming season. Webb, hopefully, will be soaking up this information like a sponge (others as well).

I hope we get Hargreaves (CB), for sure. If not, then I would like to get a WR.

I hope we draft Hargreaves III, from Florida. Also, I see our WR's excelling this year and Flacco, too! I really think it's going to be hard to miss a talented guy with the 6th pick. Of course, I hope he plays a great bit of time next year and we don't experience another Perriman-type of setback, which would simply be cruel for our team. I hope we turn a corner and don't have hardly any injuries to speak of this year. We've had 2 year's worth in 2015.

Well, what round did Antonio Brown and A.J. Green get drafted in. Watching those two receivers a few times a year and it leaves your jaw dropped at their speed and talent to go up and get the football or jet down the field. I wouldn't mind getting another 1st round WR. I also think we need a CB, as well. If we draft the WR Treadwell, I'd just think that if we're going to pay over $100 million to Flacco, we should give him a chance to succeed with the weapons he needs to be successful. He even said it himself, right here, a few weeks ago that having 2 or 3 really talented WR's is a totally different ballgame than not, although not in those exact words.

He's such a joy to watch and I'm very glad he's on our team. He's a game changer and has more than enough fire to spark a whole team!

We definitely need a few playmakers at skill positions. WR / CB (and get some INT's) and maybe an impact player at RB (which we don't need that badly), but if a dominant player is available, we should grab him.

Get 2 WR's before next Summer, at least. If we get 2 really good guys to add to the team, I will be happy. If we get 2 or 3 WR's and none pan out or stay healthy, I won't be so happy. Look at Cincy's A.J. Green and Pitt.'s Antonio Brown and Bryant and Wheaton. Without 2 more 'Bonafide' pass catchers, we're not going to beat those aforementioned teams, or frankly, much of the rest of our schedule.

Turned it off during the 4th Quarter, didn't know the circumstances around that 2nd pick. I think, all things considered, he's a plus to have on the team, in a backup role. The problems with the miscommunication between Mallett and the receivers on 5 or 6 plays, will most definitely be cleaned up next year. I've got to believe he's an asset for this team, for sure.

Mike Tomlin is funny. He is usually all business and he doesn't pull any punches. He seems like a great guy, just except for stepping near the field of play on JJ's return last year...otherwise I think he's a decent, smart football guy. I can't root for Pitt. against us, but if they wind up in the playoffs, just seeing how they play the game, normally, I don't mind seeing them put a whooping on N.E., for one. Give them a dose of AFC North Football. I really hate the Pats and if it's not Peyton bringing them down, it should be us or Pitt.! Going to be an exciting Playoff Season, this year! Get Psyched!

I know we have some dead money counting against the salary-cap, but it's sure frustrating when we keep saying we can't afford this guy or that guy, yet other teams, like Miami (time and time again) and others keep signing expensive players. I'm sure there's a reason they can afford some that we cannot, but it does get old quickly to keep reading that every year, Buffalo got a steal with Tyrod for a low sum of money, but I digress...

Jernigan is a good player and we're stopping the running game, each week, fairly well. He's getting some pressure, as much as most anyone else on our front 7. He'll learn to hold up when he realizes that unnecessary roughness penalties cost points in the end. He's defending himself, but he didn't have to knock him down, simply a touch or push and he wouldn't have been flagged, probably.

Alex Smith on the Ravens (what he might have said if he actually was being honest)...They fall down in coverage, tripping over their own feet and they can't cover dinner with Saran Wrap. They have many blown coverage plays and frequently leave runners wide-open over the middle of the field. And usually, the defense doesn't get any pressure on the QB from anyone other than occasionally Dumervil.
