  1. Again, I didn't see Brady throwing unbelievable passes with amazing accuracy, or receivers making amazing contested catches, etc. I saw Brady mostly throwing to wide open receivers. It is a big deal that they cheated, but don't tell me it made a difference in our game, because we're just fooling ourselves and soiling ourselves as fans if we do that.
  2. I agree. Just don't like the what if people and people saying that's why we lost. We lost because we didn't play well enough to win.
  3. Um, look, plenty of people are. Yes, because that logic surely makes sense. i'm not outraged, I don't think their cheating affected the outcome of the games, therefore I'm pro cheating and have no morals. The point should be they cheated, they get punished, lets move on, not make ourselves look bad by trying to grasp at straws for as to why we lost. We lost because they were the better team that day. Edelman was a former qb, and even I possible make that through, it was wide open. I've seen balls fumble and take weird bounces or no bounces. Again, you're reaching to make these pseudo scenarios where their cheating helped them to win. If our secondary was worth anything that game and Brady was throwing pin point lasers into tight coverage and that propelled them to victory I'd be tooting a different horn, but their guys were so wide open most of the game that the balls could have been over inflated and they still score that many points. I agree with 2,3 and 4. But as far as 1, or anything in the same boat, it's a big waste of time and it's above us as Ravens fans and football fans to sit here in a Debate of what ifs. Yes, because of our poor secondary, not because Brady was zinging it into all these tight windows beating our good coverages. Not because of an under inflated ball. The only things that would have won us that game were completely on us to execute and we didn't. The loss is 100% on us.
  4. Didn't have any impact on the following: Daniels dropping touchdown catch Flacco throwing an int Secondary being owned in the second half I just feel like it's ok to say the Patriots cheated, as long as we aren't using it an an excuse as to why we lost. And if we can admit we lost not cause of that, then when you sit back and think about it, the whole thing seems very blown out of proportion to me.
  5. So you guys are telling me if the balls hadn't been deflated, that the Ravens or Colts would have won? Not buying it for a second.
  6. True, but with no proof that's all entirely speculation. It's cheating, they should be punished. I've only experienced football on a high school level and local church flag football league, so I can't say I speak from great authority...but I honestly don't see how under inflating footballs is a big deal or even illegal if both teams inflate/deflate to desired psi within a specific range...and even then if they go past that, the level of cheating isn't so egregious that I can say or feel that it gives them a huge or substantial competitive edge. So punishment I'm all for, but i feel like if we even try to pretend that if they hadn't cheated they wouldn't be in the Superbowl right now is baloney. Now, perhaps if they're willing to do this and add i Spygate, one can speculate there are other dishonorable tactics at play that we don't know about from the Patriots, but again, all speculation.
  7. No where in my post did i say they've never done it before.
  8. Wouldn't have changed outcome of Colt's game period. I can make a pretty convincing argument that it didn't really impact our game either. They should be punished, but don't think suspension for Super Bowl is warranted.
  9. Also, not to thread hijack...but does this mean that Forsett is likely gone? I mean, it's not like we brought in a guy with a pedigree for good running games. Maybe the offensive line will be good enough to make for it, but still...
  10. Not a fan of the hire, but I wasn't a fan of Kubiak either and that turned out well.
  11. My head hurts.....lol. These threads change daily it seems
  12. Jimmy's problems were easily correctable and more a function of needing to adjust to defending NFL receivers and offenses. (Not turning head to play the ball, not biting on double moves) Elam looks lost on 99.99% of all plays. Can't tackle, can't cover.
  13. Name two good plays from Elam this year...cause I can only name 1
  14. See, I loved Archer from season 1-3, but lately the new stuff just can't hold my attention anymore. I like HIMYM, but I've never really gone out of my way to watch it, just watched it if i caught it channel surfing. Funny show though.
  15. I actually thoroughly enjoy the Borg, almost wish there was more, as you said there aren't as many as people would lead you to believe
  16. There are some dry spells in the series, but overall much more entertaining than the original series.
  17. Bit of a nerd - my favorite shows are Doctor Who and Supernatural. I also thoroughly enjoy American Dad. Of shows no longer running, House is one of my all time favorites, and Star Trek Next Gen is another personal favorite.
  18. What if this year is inverted from 2012? The Orioles win the World Series, the Ravens win the wildcard and lose in the divisional round.

    1. TDubbs

      TDubbs

And when the Orioles want to play their opening day banner raising, we have a game first and don't allow them to do it ;)

  19. Ok, does anyone else have trouble stopping the run in this game more than ever? If I purposely play the run I can contain it at the expense of being gashed over the top for a huge game. If I don't hold a safety in to watch for a draw I get gashed often for 15+ yards sometimes. They've readily made Cover 2 Inverted available in different formations this year but it only works so well, plus it's easy to pass on.
  20. I really don't like the new playcalling format, and not just the ask madden part, but going in and choosing plays. Is there anyway to change the formation playcalling screen back to the more conventional view? Ofcourse, the playbook is slightly changed this year so part of my problems stem from that combined with a totally new layout/look. Also, I've had the same problems, minus the over throws as I've not had the luxury of a pocket that lasted long enough to attempt a deep throw.
  21. Jones was and has been one for us. If he hadn't been injured by a teammate last year he might have put up some nice status
  22. You are so ignorant it hurts...you did see the pass protection completely break down and Rice fumble right? And when that stuff calmed down, he drove us into field goal range twice to score the crucial points we needed. Please just take you negativity and ignorance somewhere else.
  23. So nothing, thanks. Flacco isn't necessarily elite, but he's certainly a known commodity and you know what to expect. Drafting a qb and FA? Welcome to the Baltimore Ravens 1996-2008. If it weren't for having the league's best defense of all time in 2000, we 'd have no rings and a couple playoff appearances in that span. I'm sorry, it's a joke to say a sane person would rank coordinating that offense over coordinating ours. Flacco, Torrey, Rice, Brown, Yanda, Osemele, probably Pitta, probably Monroe, and the only question marks being a lineman or two and another receiving threat. Most of our problems this year on offense were due to bad luck and injuries to starting players and not adapting well to those cirumstances.
  24. quarterback?
  25. Someone explain to me what's more appealing about Minnesota's offense, or team for that matter, that when compared to our own makes Norv Turner want to sign there instead of here, unless we seriously don't want him (and by we I mean the FO, not the fans) Edit: I'm not saying I would be disappointed with Shanahan, but I really thought we'd bite at Turner and he'd want to come here.
